The series is a great spiritual sequel to the Megaman Zero games and I loved the first 2 games. It's a shame that GV is not in this game, but Copen was a blast to play as. Looking forward to the new exploits of Copen and his faithful AI partner Lola.

I don't doubt there being dummy data. I just doubt that all of that dummy slots will be used. Companies add space to add more stuff later, but they don't necessarily always use that space.

Smash 4 had extra slots as well but they never used all of them.

Also to the peeps calling Joker a SMT rep, I don't really see him as one. Persona is its own franchise now and P5 even dropped the SMT abbreviation in front of its name. Joker is a Persona rep, not a SMT rep. SMT has been on Nintendo consoles since forever, not Persona.

Been playing it for some time, picked it up during Christmas after my sister's insistence and haven't dropped it since. It's really good, has a lot of things to do, and very generous as well.

Glad to see it making its way to more territories.

Dragon's Dogma is a phenomenal game. I'm happy that Nintendo exclusive gamers can finally have a shot at it ^^ Also, remember that the game doesn't end with the ending. That's when it truly begins The phenomenal expansion dungeon (Bitterblack Isle) and rushing through the NG+ while knowing the revelations of the ending are the highlight of the game imo

It's sad that they have to keep saying that they want to port it, but they can't actually do it without Nintendo's go ahead since it's the latter who owns the IP >.<

I really want W101 to get another chance on the Switch, that game was absolutely fantastic! It was a wild ride, one I thoroughly enjoyed and it was overlooked sadly cause the Wii U was dying when it launched.

Doesn't have to be a switcheroo. Chrom exists as a costume, a final smash and a playable character. Why can't Isaac be a costume, AT and a playable character?

It's just that I see Matthew being super unlikely. Nobody knows him, his game sold like crap, etc. The Cloud/Joker example doesn't fit him AT ALL.

Well Cloud was the most popular Final Fantasy character and FF7 was the most selling FF game.

I don't think the comparison stands since Matthew has barely an popularity and his game sold the worst out of the 3 games in the franchise.

Golden Sun or Advance Wars would be the most hype for me!

I really need to give this game a try.

Advance Wars is one of my most favourite game franchises of all time besides Golden Sun and sadly it has also been dormant for quite some long.

I have been hearing a lot of good stuff about Wargroove and this news helps its case even more!

I have already beat this game to hell and back on my PC with all the endgame content cleared and everything, with an uber one shot setup and all, so won't be getting it on the Switch.

However I'm glad to see this coming to the console as tons of people who haven't played this game before can have a go at it.

It's an amazing game, kinda like Monster Hunter x Dark Souls x Skyrim.

The postgame Dark Arisen dungeon is probably the best thing about the entire package, so do play the game after the first ending for the juiciest bits!

Oh boi more NES games! Where are the SNES, N64, GBA, Gamecube games Nintendo >.<

Sakurai loves his first protagonists and franchise symbols. Isaac is both. He also happens to be the most popular protagonist out of all 3 Golden Sun MCs. He also generated a lot of buzz in speculation this time round.

I think being an AT means nothing to his chances, and Matthew is a nobody compared to him. It's going to be Isaac if anyone from GS makes it in as playable. Not that I'd mind Matthew, I'd love anyone Golden Sun, it's just that I see a non Isaac Golden Sun rep as very unlikely.

I don't think being an AT means anything really. It's just a fan rule that ATs can't be playable.

We never had DLC before Smash Wii U, so there was never a chance for any AT to be upgraded lol.

I think Isaac still has a chance. Join me in continuing to support him! Such is the fate of a Golden Sun fan.

I don't think Matthew has a chance cause he's a literal "who" to the entire Smash fanbase. Isaac's way more likely, imo, to be both an AT and playable than Matthew getting in over Isaac. Although I'll still GLADLY take Matthew as a GS rep, if it happens.

There's a lot of evidence and it's mounting. The guy deleted his LinkedIn, he was actually reported to be involved with Bamco, none of the renders have been found on the net before, and more.

Also one person on Reddit tried recreating it with the original mural and he found that it had a lot of changes that'd be unnecessary it was fake. Basically claiming that it's TOO elaborate to be fake:

The fake camp literally has no evidence atm, besides "It can be fake, so it's probably fake". I think this is a legit leak, but to be on the safe side, I'll give it a 90% chance to be true.

Yup, this is a wild ride for me as a GS fan. The Grinch leak (ESRB 2.0 to me) and now this growth item. Also the tweet from Sakurai with Rathalos which really hinted at Isaac.

I'm looking forward to the future now, especially after the huge lull we had post Isabelle. This leak really shook things up (lol)!

We should get some official news in a week or so, then we'll know how true this all is. But this growth item looks very promising. Also, literally no one expected psynergy to turn to items, so if it's legit, Sakurai did it again. He bamboozled us with something we didn't expect!

And tbf, there is a lot of evidence pointing towards it being true. Not to mention it being extremely elaborate for a fake. Also, we still have 0 evidence pointing towards it being fake except the argument "Stuff has been fake before, so it can be fake"

To me anyway, all the circumstances behind the leak and the mounting evidence make this leak look like ESRB 2.0 Not many believed in ESRB back in Smash 4 days (photoshopped Little Mac anyone?) but it turned out to be true.

Now we just gotta wait and watch what happens with this one.

Re-creating everything? You don't need to recreate everything, it's mainly a job of porting the game and optimizing the game on the new hardware.

From what I see, Nintendo doesn't see profit in the X subseries. And with all the money they made from Xenoblade 2, they are finding it a better option to jettison the black sheep of the franchise. No port of XCX to switch and no sequel to Xenoblade X imo. Sword waifus from XC2 are here to stay.

I'm sad now. It's going to get left with the cliffhanger like Dark Dawn was ages ago.

I'm one of the few who liked X more than the main series games, but I guess to Nintendo the X fans are expendable.

Agree wholeheartedly. His fanbase is still going strong despite the many years since the series was still active, and he has a lot of support for Smash as well. He could be so darn interesting with a psynergy moveset and not another 'generic animu swordsman'. I have nothing against Waluigi fans but he is barely relevant outside the Mario spin off games :/

I'm really happy for the K. Rool fans, and I'm glad to see someone who hasn't been in games for quite a while made it into Smash because of fan demand in the Smash Ballot. I also see him as a good sign of Isaac, since Isaac and K. Rool were both high in demand in fan polls, K. Rool 1-2 ranks higher than Isaac, but still close nonetheless.

My current Smash dream is to see em side by side, 2 fan favourites who made it in when many thought they couldn't. Even if they may not be currently relevant, they have a legacy and a good history with Nintendo's past. And a fanbase to welcome them into Smash with open arms

Didn't know about the resemblance but one could take that as 'generic swordfighter pose' so I wouldn't rely on it heavily.

Although the fan popularity definitely matters, he's so well requested for Smash in every poll, and NL just ignores him nowadays, when funnily enough, he was 3rd place in their own poll that you linked!

I'd agree to that logic if K. Rool had any action as well. Sure the Donkey Kong franchise has been active since a while, but K. Rool has literally made zero appearances since his Rare days, so even he has zero relevance for the current state of the DK franchise but here we are.

I don't think you quite know Golden Sun if you just put Isaac in "DUDES WITH SWORDS" club and call it a day. He is an adept with earth powers and potential to use the other three elements in the franchise. He could have a moveset entirely based on elemental moves and not even touch his sword. Golden Sun may have been inactive for a while, but it's still not obscure featuring in most fan polls. Similar to how K. Rool had a huge fan following, Isaac had a decent one as well. You called Isaac obscure but then referred to characters that are absolute nobodies in the fanbase like "Dillon" and 'Chibi Robo'

I am referring to polls such as the Reddit r/Smashbros Wishlist poll, Gamnesia's sample survey and Sourcegaming's poll where Isaac consistently ranked high and was only beaten by the likes of K. Rool, Banjo Kazooie and only 1-2 others. Oh and Dillon/Chibi Robo were nowhere on those polls btw.

I request you to kindly know your facts about Isaac's popularity and fan demand before making such uninformed comments. If the Ballot is being used to make decisions for playable characters, Isaac has a fair chance based on his popularity. Future relevancy does not matter if he's popular enough.

I find it disturbing that all such articles on Nintendolife manage to ignore the existence of Isaac and Golden Sun.

He was almost as popular as K. Rool in many online fan polls, and Nintendolife somehow never acknowledges him as a fan favourite.

Wowza, it'd be great if NieR Automata made it onto the Switch although I wonder how'd it run considering it taxed the consoles a fair bit and the PC as well. It's a different thing that the PC version was badly optimized and needs a fan patch to work.

Was an incredible game from its story and presentation to its combat and music. The DLC final arena challenge was pretty tough as well, very nice nostalgia tour through all the game bosses.

Too bad A2's sections were the smallest though.

I was really looking forward to this and the game looks real promising. Although I miss the over world already, absolutely loved it. Felt more like a big world with multiple labyrinths in different environments rather than just one (albeit huge) labyrinth.

Back to non-story gameplay is fine with me, I play Etrian for the gameplay. No Atlus tax means earlier purchase!

This looks amazing. The new 3D demons look way more detailed than their Nocturne counterparts.

Guess its time to finally finish my last run of SMT4 and get to work on Apocalypse.

I had gotten burnt out with the series but I wouldn't mind jumping back in with this release.

Meanwhile, I will pretend to be surprised that it sold out so quick.

Is this why we can't have another advance wars? The game doesn't need a support system feature to build relationships between characters, the story builds the character dynamics itself.

The whole gameplay is about controlling nameless units in a more chess like play where you can sacrifice units unlike FE. The characters mainly serve as the leaders of the army. Days of Ruin was a wonderful game and it had character development in its story without the need of any supports.

Sure it discarded some of the goofiness of previous titles for a darker, more realistic dystopian storyline, but I felt the changes were quite nice. The CO powers were not obscenely powerful like in Dual Strike (except one), there were less characters but each were more engaged in the story and the new units were great. And it didn't need a 'relationships mechanic'.

They should just outright say that they would prefer to keep making Fire Emblem rather than say nonsensical stuff like this.

It got a Japan only, VN sequel >___> The main character is a guy (childhood friend), she's still the president, and there are a bunch of girls (the President's assistants or something) outta nowhere.

The main character has some weird mind reading powers powers and I am not sure if it has romance based routes.

Oh I came on after many days and saw this lol. Well mine hasn't cracked as much, but my R button has lost it's click and that's after it had stopped working and I got it to work somehow after cleaning it. My X button is less responsive as well. Luckily the rest of the thing is fine. Same 1600+ hrs of MH xD

I might just wait to double Cross if my hands don't get better ;_;
