@JesWood13 As you implied, it's just an okay ftp game. So why does it have a bazillion articles about it and an instant review? So many countless, better games have gotten so much less attention on this site.
The island gets worse in every way from your arrival on. What was once an island paradise becomes more and more like your f****d up real world with every "addition", be it alive or inanimate.
Neither of us will know the truth but I will guarantee that you're wrong anyway lol.
I had an NES growing up and treated my Zelda cart like the gold it was made to look like. And then I couldn't believe that emulation was a thing, that I could play Zelda without a cartridge.
And now I know that the game will always be available to play long after the last physical golden cart has been sold for a million dollars and then accidentally stepped on.
Just like you can play anything worth a damn right now that was made 40 years ago, you'll be able to do the same in 40 years from now, and at a much smaller comparative storage size. I just saw an article here that said every N64 game would fit on one Switch cartridge. Maybe you have to be older to appreciate it, but that's the way this works.
Physical carts to me are nothing more than something to lose, step on, lug around, or have the dog eat. Meanwhile, I can take 100 digital games with me anywhere, to play with or without an internet connection. I get the emotional collector's appeal, but that's like collecting baseball cards for me, a kids romance.
What's not to love about a mind-numbing, addictive chore simulator?
It almost seems like a corporate experiment on how long they can string people along. I'm sure there's lots of polls out there on just what our tolerance is in 2020.
You're absolutely correct. This post is 100 percent troll bait. And look at all the ac fans with their pitchforks out.
This is obviously another ridiculous peta gag and they've done some stupid things through the years, but Damien McFerran is just as gross for inciting all the hate we're reading right now.
Pissing people off to get attention is a big part of the world's problem right now, and it doesn't matter who's doing it.
Sorry to interrupt, everyone can carry on raging now.
YOU should care. But you got something you enjoy, so you don't care. I get it. You're supporting a corporation you love so who cares, eh?
But it's like walmart having a kickstarter for lawnmowers. Hey, I need a lawnmower so why wouldn't I HELP A GIANT PROFITABLE CORPORATION PAY FOR THEIR OPERATING COSTS?
Because you're sharing the cost to produce, but not sharing the profits. That's why.
This isn't a mom and pop startup indie project. It's an almost decade old cheap polish job by a very powerful company about to make big money on said polishing.
Then why get defensive? You paid to "make" the game. You paid to play it. You're happy about everything. It's just a shame that bigtime supporters like you are being taken advantage of.
Forty bucks for six dlc packs is worth it to me. Especially since you'll be able to mix and match all the new game modes they're adding. Sounds great and I'm glad they're still supporting this one. It's always been two expansions and done.
SMB2 is a fantastic baseball simulation. Don't judge by the graphics.
You're not going to get real teams or players with this franchise but if you're truly interested in a very fun game instead of just logos, you'll probably enjoy it.
It's up there with Civ6, Darkest Dungeon, DOS2, Slay the Spire, and N++ at the top of my most played list.
I hope this one lives up to the hype.
People should keep in mind that while it's mostly adults that play this and obsess over it, this game is clearly meant for children. It's a little kids game.
So all the quality of life things that most of us feel are obvious are not there for that reason.
@Frontiersmann That sounds plausible and may be an explanation for some but my original pair started drifting within a month and drifted on and off for a few more.....but then they stopped drifting. Haven't had a problem with them in maybe a year.
That always led me to suspect something non-physical. One reason is that certain games it happens often and with others never once.
For example, Rocket League made it happen like crazy, but other games nada. And now, with a new pair, never had an issue with them until playing Animal Crossing, and it very rarely happens with any other game.
This is the best sports game I've played on Switch. Surprisingly in my top5 overall, by hours. It's really an ode to the sport. The gameplay and attention to detail are top notch.
SMB 3 will be a little too expensive day one buy for me but it looks great.
Speaking of, on 4/10 Metalhead put out a 9 minute video all about new features. Check the interweb.

Gotta buy em all!
Just like you were programed to.
Re: Devolver's Awesome New Skating Game Lands On Switch 2 This December
How do we know this is, "awesome"? Is there a review?
This reads like an ad.
Re: Nintendo Download: 4th September (North America)
There is no Switch 1.
There's a Switch and a Switch 2.

Another overlooked gem.
I get that they can't all be reviewed, but how many posts do we need to see about Fantasy Life i?
Re: Feature: Nintendo Life eShop Selects (May 2025)
They haven't "covered" anything. They mentioned it is available for purchase.
Great link work, Stan.
Re: Feature: Farewell, Nintendo Switch - It's Finally Time To Bid Our Old Friend 'Adieu'
This is goofy.
If Nintendo Life is abandoning the Switch 1 then I'll be abandoning Nintendo Life.

I just thought I'd share my opinion.
Seems weird to me, that's all.
You're free to ignore my post as well.
Maybe if we all ignore each other we can be happier. :/
Re: Ninjala Season 2 And 3 To Add New Stages, Weapons, Spectator Mode And More
@Paraka
Literally?!!
What matters are good games. What makes you think Ninjala matters? Is it the amount of attention this site is giving it maybe?
Just in this past week, NL has given a better review to five seperate games than the one they gave Ninjala.
So why so much attention to Ninjala? Hmmm.
Those games are Colt Canyon, Missle Dancer, Urban Flow, Trials of Cold Steel III, and Mr. Driller: DrillLand.
If you're interested.

I'm pretty sure NL has to be getting paid to give this game so much attention.

Nope.

My game doesn't say "uchi" because I'm not in Asia.
