To be honest, I never understood the need to pre-order a game.

Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Surviver Overclocked is unplayable without the patch, since it softlocks each time you summon a demon in battle. As far as I know, this is only an issue in the european version of the game, though.

The very first game consoles were so called dedicated consoles. The games weren't interchangeable. So they worked like plug and play consoles. According to the wikipedia article a game console can either be a handheld or home console and both can be either dedicated consoles or consoles with interchangeable storage media.

@EVIL-C I would agree with you on a couple of things, but I fail to understand what risks Nintendo would have faced if they had left the digital version of Super Mario 3D All Stars on the eshop. It certainly can't be the risk of producing too many digital copies of the game.

@EVIL-C I'd argue that Nintendo are the pioneers of artificial scarcity. Remember Amiibo, NES and SNES classic and Super Mario 3D All Stars?

@Razer No, I don't believe that the Switch version of The Witcher 3 is THE best game of the year. But I don't think that a game should be excempt from such a list solely because it's a port either. Otherwise it wouls be impossible to make a list of best Indien Game for the Switch for excample, since almost every Indie has been released on Steam before it was ported to the Switch. In the case of the Witcher 3 you're probably right though.

@Razer if you take a look to the list of top 50 Switch games of 2019 as voted by the readers, you would find a lot of ports of older games. But if you need it to be put in plain text... I think if someone is to compile a best games list of the year for a single platform (e. g. Switch), every game released that year for that platform should be eligible.

No Witcher 3, why?

Playing through Spyro: Reignited Trilogy. Just 120% Spyro the Dragon and am now starting Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage.

Maybe some of you can help me out here, because I don't know what's the issue. I had a drifting Joy-Con (the left one) and brought it to the store were I bought my Switch. I showed them my recipe, explained what's wrong and got a new Joy-Con, no problem. Why are Americans incapable of doing the same and why do they always have to file a lawsuit for such trivial things?

Well, the European box art for MK11 didn't have a download required warning on it, while the game actually required a 16 GB download. So my guess here is that Spyro requires a download, even if it is not written on the box.

Would you kindly explain how you managed to get a multi-player session running on one Switch? Only options I can find are single-player, local multi-player (requirering more than one Switch) and online multi-player. Thanks in advance. Edit: never mind, figured it out.

@Neon_Blues I cant tell for all versions, but Tetris Ultimate uses a predetermined order of Tetriminos. So you can strategize in advance.

The highest score I achieved was 143.000. It was just pure luck.

Downloaded this game yesterday and I'm now half way through. So far I love Severed.

@hngdmn the problen the reviewer had with the title is that single word "episode". So he was expecting something like Tell Tale Games does, but was disapointed because it is actually a sequel.

I still like LoS2 tbh.

No mention of additional characters which all play differently (one of them allows sequence brakink)? But still a great review.
