Re: Hands On: Pikmin 3 Deluxe - This Wii U Classic Is Shaping Up Well On Switch

@NEStalgia It was PlayStation i saw and PC surprisingly. It was on some video about casual games, but the point is, someone said that the Switch, the ENTIRE console, was for casuals only, and I quote, "cutesy Zelda stuff", showing they've haven't even seen anything or played it at all past the fricking art style. But yeah, it's mostly PlayStation.

@Ventilator "Probably 100's of new exclusives including third parties" what the heck? The only third party exclusives from the Wii I can think of is No More Heroes and some wii-ware. I know there are more I can't think of but definitely not 100s. Or are you talking about the 10-minute developed shovel ware slapped on to the Wii for $30? Because if you are counting that, then the switch has exclusives going up to the 4 digits, from all the eShop crap you can't find on any other console.

And "motion controls on everything" is not an immediate signifier of an advantage, it never was. By that logic, the kinect was the best thing since sliced bread. Not everything needs motion controls, smash or fire emblem didn't need it. If it's tacked on as an afterthought, then it will being down an otherwise good game.

And even then, you're contradicting yourself. You clearly think that lots of third party games matter, when the Wii Us third party library was almost non-existent. And what it did get was inferior to other consoles. If you didn't like that many Nintendo games and say, you just wanted the new Zelda game and liked the gamepad. Well, you were kind of out of luck, it's better than nothing, but it's still a waste of money if you wanted it for only that. And your saying that the Wii U used the features better is a lie. Barely any ports on the Wii U used the gamepad usefully, some not at all. Again, it's not Nintendo's fault they didn't use the features, but if it's heavily marketed for the feature(Nintendo did not, the touch screen and motion controls were mostly casually mentioned, the main focus was the ability to, you know, switch), it's understandable if people would get upset.

I am NOT SAYING the switch is all good. It is definitely not the best Nintendo console, I think that award goes to the SNES. The online is garbage, no virtual console, not too many quality of life improvements, par the USB-C port, and yes, some games are inferior to other games. But you're judging a console NINTENDO THEMSELVES said is only halfway through its life based off of exclusives, giving passes to the Wii U and criticizing the switch for the same things the Wii U did. You and many other people can definetely prefer the Wii U to the switch, but you are acting like this is objective fact, it is not.

@TheFox yeah, no more heroes handled it very well. I see it in YouTube comments a lot, Nintendo "forfeited the console wars, too bad, because the GameCube was great." "Anything Nintendo is for casuals, cutesy Zelda stuff, that's not what real games are."

People have actually said stuff like that, and they're dead serious. Nintendo didn't evict there non-casual gamers license just by marketing their Wii towards casuals, if anyone says that, they've clearly never even tried half of the games they offer. Motion controls aren't necessarily bad I don't think, I think Gyro aiming is a serious quality of life improvement, for instance. They just need to give options: turn off or on motion controls, simple as that. Paper Mario did that, which I thought was great.

Re: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Version 9.0.0 Arrives Next Week

@The_Pixel_King It depends on how much you want to play it I think. If you only play it at parties or something, I don't think It really is needed, unless you really like the characters. But if you're going to play even semi-seriously, like you're in a group or something or just like to play online, I think you should buy it. Even then, purchasing the fighters pass will only shave off a few dollars anyways, if you want to then you could just sprinkle $5 for each character across the year or something. Piranha plant is sold separately from the fighters pass anyways.

@DJ_Cheemstar Sora hasn't been directly deconfirmed, he just wasn't coming at the time. He's still in the paws of Disney though. There's still a chance, maybe Sakurai can work his magic for the next game.

Also, the, erm, "chest" of shantae compared to Mai is well, how should I put it, "watered down". They could make it work. I'm still screaming for the Knight (from Hollow Knight) and Dante/Capcom rep besides street Fighter over here.

Edit: let me be a bit more clear, Sora wasn't deconfirmed for the entirety of Ultimate's lifespan, it's just heavily implied. Just because Disney said no at the time, doesnt mean it will never happen

Holy crap, my little brother loves this show. I wish I didn't tell him about this game, he's gonna waste his time and money. No matter what I tell him, he's gonna shoot it off as just an internet thing. And there goes the money.

He once argued with me about something in a game, so I looked up the wiki for the game. He then decide my entire statement was false because it had wiki in the name. And we all know Wikipedia can't be trusted.

Edit:"It’s like attending the glitziest birthday bash of the century and using the din of the party to surreptitiously relieve yourself behind the punch bowl. Awful."
