You should not be able to patent game mechanics. Companies need to be taught a lesson when it comes to flaunting their power like this, and I hate to say it but this is the kind of thing that should land companies in hot water legally for. Companies need to be fined heavily for blatant abuse of the copyright system
Just get an 8bitdo Ultimate 2c, it's only $30 ($20 if you're fine with wireless) and for the price is a fantastic value. I've never used this regular Ultimate 2 before, but based on this review it sounds like its a good controller but not worth the higher price tag compared to the Ultimate 2c.
The NA one at least kinda shows its post apocalyptic. And its so strange looking it probably got a couple of double takes. The EU one though looks kinda boring and honestly similar to Mortal Kombat so if I saw that one I think I'd put it back out of annoyance.
I'm all for game piracy. But when the games you're pirating are still being sold on store shelves for a console that is still actively being supported, thats where it massively crosses the line. Not to sound like a bootlicker though, I'm not trying to defend a multi-billion dollar company. But if people keep pushing game piracy too far, eventually they're gonna ruin it for the rest of us that just wanna play older games you cant get anymore without paying an arm and a leg for a used copy that usually doesnt even have a case or manual.
Ooh someones getting fired for this lol. It's one thing to use other art as inspiration, but this looks like a pretty clear rip off, possibly even traced too. Big yikes, good on TPC for taking it down
Its an alright F2P mobile game. But charging $9.99 or even worse with the DLC for basically a bunch of mediocre flash games? That is absolutely criminal!
Yeah, the moment you spend money on a game it should be illegal to take access to that game away from you. I understand being banned from servers if you're toxic, but the ability to access the game and do things offline with it should never be taken away from you if you paid any amount of money for it
@jsty3105 So you're saying Nintendo saw all the people picking random, and changed how it works so that people can't do what they were wanting to do while simultaneously being completely unaware of why people were picking random? The fact that they changed how it works explicitly to not be able to do 3-lap tracks anymore already proves that they did know, because otherwise why would they change it to begin with, and why would they change specifically that part?
I haven't review bombed it, but I am also pretty disappointed. Nintendo saw that people were unhappy with online so much so that they found a work around to play the game how they want it to be, and instead of doing something to help that problem, they doubled down and essentially made online way worse for a lot of people. If I wasn't outside my return period already I would've returned the game where I got it as I genuinely do not enjoy the traveling to the next track on a boring straightaway just to play 1 lap of an actual track. I'm sure some people don't mind, but for me I just have no interest in playing online anymore. They should've just had the intermittent tracks for Knockout as it makes sense there, but in regular online I wanna play the actual tracks, not the boring traveling in between.
Nintendo: "Hmm, people keep picking random in races so they don't have to do the intermittent parts which seem to be universally disliked. Maybe we should address this so people can play the full courses online like they clearly want to...? Nah, lets double down and make the game objectively worse for nearly all players!" Classic Nintendo.
$450 was already on the higher side, anything above that and I'm just out, not gonna bother. Here's hoping people dont fall for this crap again and the scalpers get financially ruined
As unhappy as I am with the Switch 2 overall, thats actually pretty nice to hear. Nowadays a mid-tier pc is usually between $400-$600 so to see similar specs on a handheld that has to also worry about a screen and battery means the value is actually pretty good, even if the number itself is higher than many were hoping for.
The fact that Nintendo delayed U.S preorders over the tariffs shows that the $80 games price was a pre-tariff decision. If they really think I'm gonna pay $80 minimum for a game, they've got another thing coming. I don't think it's even possible to make a game I would ever be willing to spend $80 on. Unfortunately this decision has single-handedly killed my entire hype for the Switch 2.
So essentially Nintendo is saying "Hey don't like being ripped off? Buy the bundle, until we decide we're done helping you not get ripped off!" The fact that they even have the nerve to sell this for $90 to begin with has completely killed off any and all hype I had for the Switch 2
No matter how much content and modes they pack into this, there's just no way I can possibly ever look at the $90 price tag and think anything other than "I'm not spending that much on any game."
You're not even including the part where it's $90 for the physical version of the game. I swear when I saw that, every little bit of hype I had for the Switch 2 died all at once. This may be the first time I ever skip a Nintendo generation unfortunately.
This seems like a good way to play higher end games on lower specs, since you could just lower the rendering resolution to around 360p anyway since the 3ds only outputs that resolution. And you could sell the illusion of it being a 3ds game too by installing software or mods for lower end systems that make the textures and models lower quality too
This doesn't surprise me, a bit ago they released an update that overhauled the game and essentially took away everyones stuff they worked hard to earn, and basically made the game way worse. I'd imagine most of their players took one look at what they did and went "Oh forget this, I'm out."
