I’m not a megaman/rockman fan (aside from the music) but this looks pretty at least. Hopefully the fans will like it. The artstyle reminds me of mighty number 9 though. Might just be the current modern look.

It looks like a megaman game haha. I dig that air dash, that's more like something you'd see in MMX. Speaking of which, I do hope Capcom revives that series as well at some point.

I saw it, looks great. We knew Proto Man was gonna be there when it was first announced. I'm more excited for the new robot masters. Love the design, she's adorable.

@OldManHermit Heh, I noticed that too. I know there was the rush armor, but this has the sleeker design of X's armor and the phase invincibility reminds me of Hidden Phantom. Perhaps that's the ability from of the chips?

@Splash_Woman 8 is better than 11 and its not even close tbh. Part of that is based on the gameplay, but a larger part of that is based on having eyes. 8 looks awesome, 11 looks, at best, like an HD up-res of a non-existent mid-tier 3DS game (like imagine a more basic, worse looking 3DS Kirby game). Great example of how you have to try when making a game with 3D graphics instead of being like "but better tech tho" (see also: Pokemon BD/SP) and how underrated 2D can be by major game companies.

Speaking of which, glad this looks good this time, but getting "what 11 should've been" after 8+ years is...very frustrating.

Never really played Megaman but surprised it’s getting a Switch 1 release in 2027. Even more surprising considering the Switch 1 is being discontinued in some parts of the world (if I’m not mistaken).

MM11 is awesome, and I say that as a lifelong fan of the series. The visuals are a little basic but the gameplay, RM fights, and weapons are all top-notch. I've been playing Mega Man since MM2 on the NES and 11 is one of the most fun to go back to.

Only real problem is its tepid OST, but the downloadable songs help with that.

This looks awesome and I will definitely be buying it.

The new gameplay looked. . . good. But I'm just not feeling pulled to play it as someone who didn't grow up with the original Megaman games. I don't know if I'm the only outsider to the OG Megaman games who feels that way. Something about the original Megaman design just doesn't have a strong mainstream appeal.

@batmanbud2 Not a bad idea at all! 11 would be a good one to start with as it is pretty accessible and the difficulty level is a lot more fair than a lot of the earlier entries.

@Splash_Woman 11's great, and comparing it to 8 is blasphemy.

Introduces Twinkle Girl, then kills here. That’s one way to make an entrance. Looks like a solid Mega Man game.

Airdash, hover, temporarily invulnerability - looks like Capcom is throwing a bone to X fans in gameplay form. This looks fantastic.

Also Mega Man moves quickly. His slow movement was my number one gripe in Mega Man 11.

@Splash_Woman I got a new appreciation for it in recent years, but it is below the majority of them, almost certainly. But I think 7 is less interesting than 8, and 6 has shockingly un-catchy music and gameplay gimmicks I didn't get into at all. And Megaman 1 just is what it is.

But 2-5 and probably 9 and 10 (one of which I need to replay, the other I need to play at all) are almost certainly way better. I think 8 is just the best lower tier classic game and did the most to justify existing beyond 8-bit once Megaman X existed, and 11 made me appreciate even more that a classic Megaman got better graphics and chose a good art style instead of again, half-baked version of 3DS Kirby type of 3D graphics.

Looks great. I like that it seems you can customise Megaman more than ever.

And there's so many nods here, as there were in 11, to the fact Megaman has to keep getting these big upgrades in oder to stay competitive as the classic series progresses.

It's unlikely we'll ever see a game that bridges this series to the X series, but some progression is good to see.

Twinkle Girl is awesome. This makes her the first female Robot Master since Splash Woman from 9 which was in 2008--18 YEARS AGO!

@shonenjump86 I'm grateful she's not another Starman. Fireworks a'la Neon Tiger isn't exactly great either, but it looks like its larger and covers a wider range.

Cool I hope the good sale of this game lead to an actual Mega Man 12.
