Re: Nintendo Details How Voice Chat And Multiplayer Lobbies Work In Splatoon 2

FreakFerrett

@WOLF1313
"It's cheaper for Nintendo to put the chat burden on your phone than to have it in their system." I would be ok with this if the online was a free service..but come on, for a paid service you need a separate device? What if I dont want to use my smartphone for that? If it is supposed to be a powerful "home" console, then the chat service should be thorough the console..

Re: Nintendo Will Replace Your Dead Switch Battery, At A Cost

FreakFerrett

@Vriess I totally agree with you. Plus, they are vision is always in th eshort side.. great if you are from America or Japan, but what happens to people that is in a Country not supported by them.. anyways.. I´m pretty sure that you dont need a mechanical engeneering degree to open the console and change the battery yourself.. even more, it is probably like the Wii U gamepad, a big space with a small battery in there so 3rd parties for sure will make bigger batteries... its so sad.. its like I was dying to love the Switch.. but its like I get 1 good news vs 4 bad ones...

Re: Nintendo Details How Voice Chat And Multiplayer Lobbies Work In Splatoon 2

FreakFerrett

The switch needs a power bank, an external hard drive ( wait till all those 3rd parties start releasing their incomplete games and ton of patches) a smartphone, and probably you will need another power bank for that smartphone... so yeah its going to be on life support.. thats all I see when I hear these "AMAZING" ideas of having voice chat on a separate device..

Re: Editorial: Pricing Blunders Have Distorted The Narrative Around Nintendo Switch

FreakFerrett

@AlternateButtons Hi, I really think that you ar eseeing it more than for what it is. A 3 year old processor, a regular screen, mediocre battery and a shameful 32 gb internal memory, making the "tablet" part of the console regular at best in terms of cost of production (same story with the Wii U gamepad that everyone liked to brag on how expensive it wa sfor nintendo and it had again components that couldnt be cheapear), the grip is a piece of plastic and the dock also (plastic with usb ports and tv out), so the "most expensive components" would be the joycons but compared to what they sell in standalone (where a great profit is also made) they ar enot that expensive either... so yes nintendo has plenty of room to lower this console price, the price might be right for a launch console but it is no way competitive in the actual market and thats a key poing on the Wii success too.. it wasnt just the motion controls it was the price.. so in retail Nintendo wont have that appeal.. so I disagree with you, the price is not right and when you look at the games its a total turn off for everyone planning on getting it too..

Re: Nintendo Switch Memory Can Be Expanded Up To 2TB

FreakFerrett

@Mommar Yes the only problem with that is that you will be paying full price for the download plus for the SD cards.. thats why internal memory is important and is good marketing .. "here I give you all this free space, now buy 1,2 Switch for $60.. or ARMS.." and there they got it covered.. those games should cost like $5...

Re: First Impressions: 1-2-Switch is an Ideal Pack-In Game That's Missing Its Chance

FreakFerrett

@feelinsupersonic Do you really bought the story that the wii u did not make any profit in every unit sold?? the console was a powered up Wii and the controller which everyone loved to say how expensive it was was a regular controller with a tiny batery and a touch screen completely obsolete for the time of the release. I mean, only thing I can think could be expensive was the technology to transmit the audio and video to the controller from the console, thats it.. nothing more. It was not expensive, Nintendo knowing it wasnt going to sell, wanted to profit the more they could in the few units they were going to sell.. otherwise the packed in games wouldnt make sense compared to what reggie is saying now about the switch.. I love my Wii U and my almost 40 retail games for it.. but that thing is noot expensive and never was... same with the switch.. Im fine with the 300 price, what makes me mad is the accesories price and the games being $60 when they are at most tech-demos or games fit to be digital only like bomberman (same game from the 90s with 3d graphics).. and the lack of built in games like the 3ds had.. its like they wanna charge you for everything they can instead of saying, "here, buy our console get this "free/cheap" with it.. adopt it early so I will make awesome games for you".. that should be their message..

Re: First Impressions: 1-2-Switch is an Ideal Pack-In Game That's Missing Its Chance

FreakFerrett

@feelinsupersonic Its not like hae that extra 60 buck.. you really think that the development of a game like 1,2 Switch costs as much as other games that retail for 60 at launch.. Final Fantasy, Mass Effect, Zelda, etc.. you are buying their lie.. this is not even a game.. its a tech demo.. something used to show the controllers capabilities.. it would be free marketing for them if they packet it in, everyone would show this game to their relatives and friends.. and they would see how fun it is to play on the console and would want one... I honestly think that this game, developed internally didnt cost much than 200.000USD and thats a stretch.. waaay lees than what other companies spend on marketing one game... and we are talking about a console here where they desperatly need to do everything to market it well.. bad marketing was 50% why the Wii U failed. So yes, the price of the console should be what it is with this game for free...

Re: First Impressions: 1-2-Switch is an Ideal Pack-In Game That's Missing Its Chance

FreakFerrett

@Tsusasi Astanding ovation to your comment. I totally agree with you. Ive been hyped for months.. I defended them on other forums expecting a killer launch line up ( to comepensate for the lack of 3ds and wii u games) and they give us a tech demo and a 1/10 of Wii sports a.k.a ARMS at full retail price.. compared to games like Zelda, Uncharted.. thats how much they think their games value is? really?

Re: First Impressions: 1-2-Switch is an Ideal Pack-In Game That's Missing Its Chance

FreakFerrett

From what I can see in the comments here, that we are mostly nintendo fans, most of the people think this is too expensive, the console and the accesories are too expensive. For the first time ever I hope they wont sell, I really hope they sell the console because of hype but no games just Zelda, so they will re think their crazy strategy and lower the prices.. only then I will buy a Switch and start collecting for it!

Re: Breaking Down the Nintendo Switch Online Service Details

FreakFerrett

Im just here to say that this is super stupid. If they charge more than $10 a year for this crappy service I wont be playing online on the Switch... I'm a big Nintendo fan with 60 3DS games and 40 WiiU games, but now after this I really want the switch to flop so they will get their feces together and lower the prices and have some decent bundles... and a system with more storage, they will start releasing digital only games and what Im I supposed to do? have a hanging 500 GB external hard drive from my Switch?? God.. and my hype wasnt that big to start with...

Re: Nintendo Switch Has 32GB Internal Memory, Expandable With Micro SD Cards

FreakFerrett

Yes, because my Wii U ran out of storage inmediatly and I know that it will be a big wall for third parties to port the games over as they like to ship 70% of the game nowadays, 10% in fixes on the day one and the rest on dlc.. so where is that going o go on the Switch.. are we really going to get third party support or it will be mostly 3ds devs who know that the switch is going to be the next 3ds.. so yes, for a $300 console in 2017 i expected a bit more of storage, for me thats a big deal, battery life not so much as i play mostly at home..but unless we get a price drop so i can get a 256 sd card I dont plan on getting the console.. I will play zelda on my Wii U...nothing else that they showed interests me so far.. the launch line up is a joke.. so yeah.. my hype went down, does that mean I wont get the console? nooo , I still believe its amazing, but not for that price and not for those games...

Re: Soapbox: The Switch Presentation Was Good, but Not Perfect

FreakFerrett

@rjejr 90 Us dollars for the dock only, that has only a fan cooler inside it and nothing more (i mean does not provide extra power to the console) is a joke... and they want us to have multiple of them at home to play on every tv with that price? no way.. I loved the console, but I will wait for a price drop for sure...

Re: Soapbox: The Switch Presentation Was Good, but Not Perfect

FreakFerrett

@Pokefanmum82 I will also wait for a price drop, its too expensive for what it is. With the Wii U at least you could tell yourself that you didnt have to pay for the splatoon online. You paid 60 for the game once and you could play it right away.. but its too expensive for them to keep charging for the full experience.. I hope it is like the 3ds, an explosion after the price drop..

Re: Review: Skylanders Imaginators (Wii U)

FreakFerrett

Ok I havent played this game yet, but I own every other one in the series, including the 3ds version and all collections up to superchargers complete. I must say that for the the figures look extremely cheap, the amount of painted details/colors/textures is like 20% of figures like those for Trap Team, which are the best ones, close to amiibos in detail level. Also their design is somewhat repetitive of past ideas, you can clearly tell that they needed to cut costs and that some might be left over ideas of past games.. The inclusion of some villains is great, again from one of the best games in the series, but some iconic villains do not have a figure which is a shame ( i believe that it was not viable to make their figures) because at least you would expect that every Skylanders villain featured in Skylander Academy would have a figure in the game.. but thats not the case. Those are my complaints about this game, again as someone who has yet to play it..

Re: Skylanders Developer Vicarious Visions Is Now Working On Destiny

FreakFerrett

I think they lost a lot of people with Trap Team. Its the best game in the series (havent played the two new ones yet) but the amount of new characters and all the traps you needed was incredible. The price of the traps, new at the time was impossible, and its just a piece of plastic, it not even close to the quality of the actual figures, which on that generation where amazing on the design and details. You can see how they lowered production costs on the last game. They also seem to run out of ideas, most Imaginators Senseis are similar to past skylanders (not talking about Villain Senseis). I plan to get the full set, but some traps are going for $50-80 used, and theres no way I will pay that.

Re: Nintendo Is Looking For Hackers Who Can Discover 3DS Vulnerabilities

FreakFerrett

@Cantisque They already did, thats why there are so many firmware updates. They are looking for the vulnerabilities that are used by those cartridges in the first place, they want to fix it before an exploit is made.

But Nintendo is shady in their information, If i was a hacker I wouldnt trust them, If I had a big vulnerability I would send something small first to see how much money I get, I dont trust they would give the 20 grant to anyone.. maybe 5000 top if its something super big.

Re: Rumour: Nintendo Switch Release Date and Key Games Outlined

FreakFerrett

Yes I agree on that, the thing is that particuarly with Nintendo games they dont go down in price like to 15% of its original price. Unless they are rare exceptions like codename S.T.E.A.M that is 13 or something like that on Amazon. I´m planning on completing my collection with the games I like, I dont wanna go with a full set, and that is about 35 games plus some other ones I have that were bought super cheaf or in a lot. I still have 11 games to get the collection I want. Ho wmuch do you think that games like Devils Third or Yoshis Wooly World will be when they get to their lowest selling point? (I´m not from America so ebay and amazon are pretty much my only options for buying).

Re: Rumour: Nintendo Switch To Start At £199.99 In United Kingdom, $329.99 In Canada

FreakFerrett

@Snargledon lower specs five years ago.. the NX has low specs too compared to the actual generation.. a mobile processor that is a bit better than the Tegra on the shield + 4 GB of RAM are not state of the art technology.. Nintendo consoles never were. But the price comes with a big chunk of earnings for Nintendo.. if the NS is hacked day one.. Nintendo would earn a lot just off consoles.

Re: Rumour: Nintendo Switch To Start At £199.99 In United Kingdom, $329.99 In Canada

FreakFerrett

@Grandpa_Pixel Did you read somewhere that it could come without them? I mean, I was pretty sure from the revela video and every thing else that the dock and the joycons are part of that base model. Without the joycons it would be just a tablet and without the dock it wouldnt be a home console.. so yeah Im pretty sure that will be included. you can look at all the promo pics too.. extra accessories are usually not included or are otherwise stated in a small disclaimer as "sold separately", not the case here either.

Re: Capcom "Researching" Viability Of PS4 And Xbox One Ports On Nintendo Switch

FreakFerrett

The psp had many many successful ports, the thing is that Sony would only approve if they had 30% of original content. So buying said games to play on the go plus the extra stuff was an easy choice. The thing is with how expensive that would be nowadays, I thing that pubblishers should release more "collections" on the NS, so you get more games for the price of one.. all the Sony collections on the Vita sold pretty well..

Re: My Nintendo Adds More Rewards for Discounts in Europe

FreakFerrett

Nintendo prices for DIGITAL licences, thats it, LICENCES are a joke, I get it that they believe the games are worth it, but no way paying that for a digital game for a consol that you had to pay more to get extra storage to be able to purchase said digital games in the first place. No thank you, physical games are cheaper, and will be worth a lot in the future, no need for the storage space in a hardrive and you totally own them. I wanted Fatal Frame 5, but I´m not supporting digital only games, so yeah played the demo and thats it. Awesome game, but thats it.

Re: Crash Bandicoot's Nemesis Is Confirmed For Skylanders Imaginators

FreakFerrett

Ok so I agree with you, it is not a game for everyone, it is a game that isnot too deep and is supposed to be fun, you cant expect a 3 year old to enjoy and play Darksouls. The game never was supposed to be a Spyro game above all, otherwise the name would be "Spyro's adventure and the skylanders", its like when a famous actor does a cameo on a movie, you cant say it is the protagonist. You are speaking with your heart here, you are a spyro fan, and thats awesome, but the game industry is a business, it won't survive just by the love of fans it needs to catch on a wider audience, as the game did, selling millions and from those millions many didnt even know spyro before Skylanders, so yes, the game was a success opening the door to other toys to life games. Do you really think that Skyro ws the sole reason why it became one of Activision's greatest games? Or do you think because it was a game that has figures, 9.99 is not expensive for me, and I dont live in the US, I have to buy there through another company, and then pay for the shipping and that dependes on the weight. It is not a game for everyone, as most games cannot reach the whole audience spectrum, thats how it works, in the end for the company it is business otherwise we have many many game franchises that we would be getting new games...
