Re: Nintendo Inexplicably Deletes Popular Mario Maker Streamer's Level

Filth_Element

Wow just wow at some of these comments.

Seems to be a growing hatred of youtubers these days, you don’t have to like a content creator to understand the situation they are in. Yes the name may have flagged up due to reports. Grandpoobear is pretty popular level creator and player and has approached the situation pretty responsibly, which is more than I can say for some of the people commenting on here are. I think everyone has the right to ask why something like this is done not just youtubers. However, because he is a youtubers he has an audience which news sites and media know will have an interest in this story. Come in guys stop complaining about stupid things this is a reportable story. I’m starting to feel like I’m on crazy pills when I look through comment sections these days.

I don’t think it is throwing a tantrum or vying for attention to ask for clarity and transparency when it comes to matters like this.

Re: Video: Here's How The Witcher 3 On Switch Compares To The PS4 Version

Filth_Element

Ok so I’m surprised at some of the saltiness in the comment section... but I really shouldn’t be haha.

It totally looks playable but it does look quiet ugly when compared but the portability is a huge plus for me as I didn’t finish it on PS4 due to limited time. So I’m down for this version.

The size and whether or not they can fit it onto one cart I think is the bigger stretch for me though. I’m hesitant to believe this claim until launch. I can see this changing before release. I am, however, happy to be proven wrong.

Re: Game Freak Is Trying To Create Something "More Exciting Than Pokémon"

Filth_Element

@Ludovsky seems most have read this article as Gamefreak don’t care about Pokémon. But I agree with you that if you ignore the fact that this franchise is MASSIVE and literally prints money you are ignoring how lucky they are as a company. They are in a unique position of playing it safe with Pokémon and experimental on other projects which both In-house trains staff keeps moral up and feeds back into their main IP.

Also your point on their games formulaic setup, well despite many in here complaining, if they were to change up too much some might be happy whereas the literally millions of others may switch off. See Pokémon Go as an example of if you build it they will come.

This latest Pokémon I reckon will stick to script and a minority will moan but with Detective Pikachu getting attention I think this one is gonna sell very very well.

@Wavey84 I was a gore hound as in I loved horror movies but mainly just loved the special effects they had within them, horror movies of that time pushed practical effects so I’m onto that big time and when I saw Goro I just laughed. I was watching MK on telly the other day and even the sets are just horrid some of them like scorpions lair is soo bad. But if you love it keep loving it. I’m just not drinking the coolaid lol

Re: Looks Like RetroBit 6-Button Pad Will Be Essential For The Mega Drive Mini

Filth_Element

Yeah gotta agree with a few here. The west getting only 3 buttons just sucks. I don’t care if that’s what some associate with nostalgia. When I think back to my MD days it was the 6 button one of the reasons I preferred Sega to Ninty at the time. My 3 button controller was quickly left in the drawer.

I’d really like a proper statement from Sega as to why Japan gets one version and the west gets another. So far the nostalgia reasons is just fanboy justification.

Re: The Mortal Kombat Movie Reboot Has Been Given The Greenlight

@Wavey84 no sorry but Goro made me and my friends laugh. We were horror gore hounds and we had seen way better... WAY better. I get it your a fan but I was there at the time it was a guilty pleasure as a teen but it’s just plain bad film. Yet another Paul W S Anderson film that should have been aborted early. Resident Evil films bad but somehow a guilty pleasure maybe that’s just the Milla Jovovich factor...

Re: The Mortal Kombat Movie Reboot Has Been Given The Greenlight

What a load of PR nonsense who care if it’s the biggest production Adelaide has embarked on. Sydney and Gold Coast are the main hubs for production in Australia. James Wan is just producing and it’s a first time director. And it’s Warner Bros. Who are producing Sonic.... yeah this isn’t exciting news at all.

@Wavey84 the jewel in a very very sub average crown lol. Don’t get me wrong it’s a guilty pleasure for sure.

Re: Video: We Weren't Sure We Wanted A Zelda: Link's Awakening Remake, Until We Got It

Filth_Element

@WOLF13 I think that many of the fans would be happy with that. I say this because there is a lot of fan made art which is very “awww” inducing.

Again I’m not into cutesy stuff but I personally think there are many fans out there who would like this style. I’ve probs met more female Zelda fans than I have met guy Zelda fans... just my experience but I am just surprised at how many seem to really not like this style. Surely there are others that thought “that looks awesome”

During the Direct my wife and I sat there going “looks like your playing with real toys” that looks cool.

Re: Video: We Weren't Sure We Wanted A Zelda: Link's Awakening Remake, Until We Got It

Filth_Element

Surprised at the overwhelmingly negative opinions on the art style of this game. I’m not really into cutesy look, however, as soon as the gameplay started I did “awww” out loud....
it looks interesting and like others have said different. It is good to get something you may not expect every so often. Like Yoshi made of yarn these are trying something new rather than regurgitating the same look again and again.

Re: Review: The Way Remastered (Switch eShop)

Filth_Element

Grabbed this at $1.59 AUS! Cool little game good puzzles and the platforming wasn’t so bad just reminded me of the good ol days of gaming.

Didn’t have a single issue with bugs so must be patched or I was I lucky. The checkpoints are in good places and you don’t have to replay too much.

Overall well worth it. Deserves more than a 6/10
