The "wild" haircut was probably my favorite part of the trailer. I thought it suited him, especially with the skyward sword dive stuff going on.

@StefanN I thought that LoZ game n watch looked like a great way to mark the anniversary.

It's early yet, but i was disappointed. This doesnt look like a sequel to me so far, it looks like DLC.

This was my favorite title out of the presentation. I missed out on this back in the GBA days.

Played a few minutes of Circle of the Moon this morning to commemorate the GBA! Here's to another 20 years!

@Dpishere It'll probably be a downscaled port like Witcher 3 (but worse), and if the rumors are true, a proper port on the Switch pro.

I'm guessing that this is not Switch gameplay. They should be upfront of what hardware the game is running off of.

Great looking game. I dismissed it b/c it was online only. I'm reconsidering it now that an offline mode has been included.

@Max_the_German it HAS to be easier than getting an Xbox. I'm not up on PC's these days, a modestly powered one would likely suit me.

I still can't find an Xbox from a retailer in NA. At this point, I may give up soon and just buy a gaming PC.

I went there a few years back! I had some fried chicken dish inspired by the fire spitting chicken from Monster Hunter, it was okay, and I left a bad sketch in one of the sketchbooks they keep there for customer doodles.

The place was pretty tiny. Shelves of Capcom books and 3DS' on the bar ( attached by cable) for play. It was kind of underwhelming, but if youre a Capcom fan and have the time, I think its worth it.

I can't see how this could work. Most steam games are best with a mouse and keyboard.

I think the difficulty of DQ2 has been overstated. If you took notes, it's not especially difficult.

I'm okay with this list. IX was my favorite. Meeting up with groups IRL to trade maps was pretty fun. Also, a fully customizable party, for me a BIG plus.

I didn't get a scalped system, nor will I. "I will wait until i can get one from a retailer...".

What I meant was that the scalpers were ridiculed and we all expected them to be sitting on systems they couldnt move after the holidays and they would end up losing money, but they havent. I'm certain they made a good profit.

This game looks great on the 3DS. The stereoscopic effect is subtle and looks terrific. Also, the 3DS has a proper D-pad...

I would recommend the official Super Famicom storage cases for loose SFC carts over these. They're pricey on ebay, but I think it's worth it.

This would be great and everyone wants it, but i'm unsure what Nintendo's motivation would be. The Switch will be their best selling system ever and they are drowning in profits. Why would they go through the trouble of putting up some of the GBA library? Most Switch users ( i'm guessing) are already subscribing to their online service.

no thanks. I watched a few episodes of this anime and then had to shut it off. I found the portrayal of the 2 underage main characters extremely creepy.

It doesnt seem to have been pointed out, but his toy Blanka is sitting there perched within the D of that logo.

I've gone from total fanboy to completely indifferent to this series. I waited until the last one became a "greatest hits" to buy it, and have yet to play it. I think its been on my shelf for 2 years now? It's hard to believe I used to think this was one of the greatest video game franchises ever made.

I feel foolish for making fun of my PC gamer friends 20 years ago for having to wait for patches. I told them consoles were bug- free and infallible...

I was lucky enough to visit this place a few years ago, and it was everything I hoped it would be! The entire building is just a shrine for retro games.

I want to play this. I have this. It's sealed/ unopened and I just checked ebay, and its going for ~300usd. I feel like if i open it now, im squandering 300 bucks.

I only dabbled w/ Shield, but Bidoof was my favorite! Such a tough little tank!!

DLC? This should probably had been a sequel. DLC usually means its going to be brief relative to the base game. The trailer looks cool, I think it deserves to be its own game. I think it looks much cooler than the original game ( Immortals, not Breath of the Wild =P).

The standout for me is Oman- MAGIKARP!? pretty cool.

No. This does not diminish it AT ALL. I think videogame RPGs are those that can reflect the experience of tabletop RPGs. Either in system ( stats determine the outcome of actions you take) and/or you make decisions in-game that are consistent w/ the character you are playing.

In Skyrim, my character was a devout Talos worshipper, so he sided against the Empire for repressing his religion. The perks I picked determined the effectiveness of actions my character took in combat, the merchant's prices, how well he could pick a lock.

Zelda is ADVENTURE. Its about exploration and puzzle solving. There are not decisions to make that define your character. My Link is pretty much the Link everyone else is playing.

This review is accurate, i already played through the original release, but I will still be picking it up whenever it gets discounted. Open world games on a portable system are fantastic!

Regarding Dragon's Dogma, I agree with you on the game's story, but if you're curious about the appeal of the game's combat- i'd suggest you check out Nihil0.0 on YT. Particularly his Mystic Knight videos.

Landing perfect blocks is crazy fun. Perfect blocking a Cyclops' club that is the size of a Cadillac, is IMMENSELY satisfying.

You're not wrong, i dig razorxkenshin's list, but it's cool to see articles about old systems.

I really like this look back on the DS.

If anyone is interested in playing these on the original hardware, as opposed to playing on the 3DS ( imho- DS games on the DS is the way to go), you can get a decent deal on refurbished units on ebay. I've gotten a couple and in my experience they are terrific. Just be sure to check the seller's reviews before purchasing.

Just a bit of advice to my fellow games. Don't wait too long to get the titles you want. In a few years, these games' prices are likely to jump. Best to get them while they're mostly still reasonable priced physically, or before they eventually get delisted from the online shop.

I no longer feel bad about unfinished games. I look at them as a potential treasure trove of gaming whenever I get to retire.

This is terrible, and if I had to bet, I'd say it's probably true.

Capcom, must be pretty bad off if they were unable to set up their studio for remote work properly, when most others have been able to.

the adoration this game gets makes me reluctant to play it. I don't have the time/ energy to get hooked on a game right now.

As far as a port? no thanks. when i get to it, i'll play on the intended platform- PC. The switch is terrific, but unless i have to, i'd prefer not to play compromised ports on it.

These are going to be TOUGH to get. I hope retailers can figure out a way to beat the bots.

underwhelmed. I am very happy i have a lot of different platforms to play on other than switch and a very healthy backlog.

I think my opinion on the Switch has changed from a year ago. It's gone from impossibly good system to a very respectable "very good" system.

I began my career in animation as a character designer, for 6 years ( currently a board artist). I could come up with a dozen variations ( rough pre designs) of a biker design in a day or two that were vastly different from one another. Yet these guys look the same, in body build, silhouette, attitude, etc.

I dont care about either game, but it does look like respawn/ea "ripped them off".

There are so many different ways you could design a biker character, but they landed on such a strikingly similar design as these bulletville guys.

I'm certain i'm really going to love this game, but the wirebug still bothers me. It's such a weird looking mechanic, like double jumping in Super Ghouls n Ghosts. I wish they couldve found a cooler looking way to add player mobility.

I really want to like these type of games, but they seem too simple. I played a good amount of TL2 and I think I was just mashing buttons. Most of my attention was on managing my health and mana meters. This was on the highest difficulty with permadeath. I never finished the game, but I haven't died yet either.

The main character looks generic, I wish it had a customizable one. Despite that, I might give this game a shot.

Eh, I think I'll just wait for Cyberpunk 2077

I bought this day one for the Dreamcast. I thought it was tedious. The encounter rate was incredibly high, even by JRPG standards. Despite that, I WOULD buy it again if they released it again, and give it another shot.

I'm certain I won't be able to get one, because it'll sell out. I'm no longer willing to chase after hard to get games/ systems. I miss the days where pre orders were easy to get, or you could just walk into a store and buy the product.
