Eh the JP one is drawn decently but that Smaug is weaksauce, if that's supposed to be Gollum he looks like a character from a gross 80s fetish OVA, and the Ring taking up so much space feels like almost false advertising considering it doesn't impact the plot nearly as much as in LotR, should really be the Arkenstone. Went with US. E: Also I guess I'm the only one who thinks that hint of orange dawn peaking through the clouds in the US actually looks pretty cool.

@The_Nintend_Pedant Eh how many people outside Yiddish communities actually knew the name "Zelda" until the games made it legendary, enough for Robin Williams to name his daughter after her. I do doubt Elliot's story will have nearly that impact but (if I had Switch2 lol) I'd be down to be convinced by his character. And compared to some SE titles like Triangle Strategy which is both misleading (yeah it's three countries fighting but I'd think it's some puzzle-strategy hybrid without knowing that), uninteresting, clumsy and forgettable, just "Adventures of Dude" is endearingly quaint to me. Other than the unnecessary colon and subtitle.

@Kingy I agree overall though I do think they could've called it "The Millennium Adventures/Tales of Elliot"/ :: "Elliot's Millennium Tales/Adventures" and avoided the unnecessary colon. But that's fantasy fiction in general. Personally I think Elliot's Millennium Tales has a nice ring to it.

@Haruki_NLI Just for posterity, put the disc in after I unloaded it to HDD in the past, it downloaded 8.51GBs to HDD (allowing me to play at 4 GBs downloaded, the rest was an "update file") and ended at 36.50 GBs on HDD. Nothing on internal. Don't have DLC. E: Still does seem less than the 41 GBs posted here, https://gamingbolt.com/clear-some-hard-drive-space-folks-bloodborne-is-41-gb, I guess the rest is in Other maybe.

Btw this was one of the things that helped kill Sega, all their stupid Genesis add-ons they tried to scam people to buy made the system way too expensive when it was long in the tooth and nobody in the West bought a Saturn because they had already been duped once.

@Jeff2sayshi Atp I'm second guessing myself but my PS4 disc copy of Bloodborne for example, despite what @Haruki_NLI said and Google confirming it, that Playstation apparently downloads all games to SSD, I can't find anywhere where it takes up storage. Not in my internal storage, not in my external HDD. Only idea would be that "Other" section. I just put it in my PS5 and play it?

Cool I legit appreciate learning what that data block is, still 31/825 GBs total. Hey could you remind me how much internal storage the Switch 2 has again? E: I'm doing some more research and I'll cop you seem correct, I'll shut up now but on that issue I was flat-out wrong. My bad.

@Haruki_NLI Yes Blu-ray games on disc (the 70% I mentioned that are fully on disc) take up like 100 MB of internal console storage for saves, if you're actually comparing that to a full on game, that outside of N developed ones can take 50 GBs of internal storage nowadays I respectfully don't think that can be compared. E: The Wild Hearts Game Key card takes up 40 fricking GBs. Yes in literally any case like that on Switch2 with its pathetic internal storage I'd want the actual game card to use as much of its internal storage as possible just to save on those expensive SD cards, and I 100% blame Nintendo for forcing 64GB cards on their clients.

Man it's really sad that Advance Wars remake (deservedly tbh) flopped (also Ukraine not helping), probably coulda had some new games in development atp.

@Haruki_NLI Any game (aka Game Key card) that offloads all of its data to console/SD card storage is worse than even the partial solutions on Switch considering the tiny internal storage, and Sony fans 100% track which games come complete on disc. https://www.playstationtrophies.org/forum/topic/297967-complete-edition-central/ This is old can't find the website I found before which is more recent and tracks all Playstation games for if they come complete on disc but it was over 70% of them are.

Would've gotten Xenoblade X remaster if it was on sale, oh well.

Think I'll try it, a visual novel without words sounds like the kind of small but effective genre shake-up that might make it more interesting. And the art looks lovely.

@Haruki_NLI Eh haven't the HD2D games released across two gens at this point, and admittedly they're subtle but there have been graphical and art style improvements imo. Pretty sure the exact reason those RPGs didn't get released is that western execs thought they looked too samey and repetitive, so your logic basically, there's a reason polygon-based FF7 was the first released worldwide.

@Haruki_NLI Would you have said this about the six sprite-based Final Fantasies on NES and SNES, maybe you were one of the people in marketing back then who said people in the west don't get all the games because reasons.

@illmatic20xx Honestly don't understand the HD2D hate, it just reminds me of old Playstation RPGs like Dragon Quest 7, Final Fantasy Tactics, Breath of Fire, Vandal Hearts with sprites against polygons except better and way higher resolution, did people complain back then about the graphical style being repetitive? E: In Vandal Hearts 2 for example two characters are talking in a room, camera shifts to show someone else is standing outside eavesdropping. That cinematic camera movement is literally impossible with purely sprite-based graphics.

So fans can make online Contracts again? The old re-release was entirely missing that feature and even some weapons can't be gotten without doing Contracts iirc so that will help a lot. Absolution isn't that bad but never ever let Danes write rural Americans, it's awful.
