@KiraMoonvalley They kinda did. Raw Thrills made H2Overdrive an arcade cabinet racer and a spiritual successor to hydro Thunder. It is amazing and one day I hope it makes the transition to a console.

@Rodan2000 I agree. It plays so much better than my Xbox One S and I finished the game on it, but yeah it did have problems even after the HDR patch. I'm finding it much more enjoyable on Switch.

This is actually from the guy, Dean Dodrill who made Dust an Elysian Tale, one of my all time favourite games. Can’t believe the reviewer didn’t mention it. Pretty sure it’s just the one guy which makes it even more impressive.

played the demo until I maxed out, and just loved everything about it. Already bought

@Realness totally agree. I play it and race around for 15 minutes thinking this is so much fun and then I am literally burnt out and bored. Burnout 3 and Revenge were awesome!

I wish they would add some way, (ie gold siver bronze)so I could see my progress in the single cup races offline

bit nit-picky on the one negative. It should get a 10 in my book.

I just watched a review from switch up and they said framerate is terrible after the first hour of the game and no performance mode, so why does this review ignore this issue.

Loving the game, but can someone enlighten me...I play the Single player Wumpa Cup and come first and get the Trophy but unlike Mario Kart, there is no trophy screen and no way to know my progress??

I can't believe that shortly after launch I was eagerly anticipating GameCube games.....so dissapointed

I was hoping it would be from Alita. That scene from the movie was amazing and I thought at the time, that would make a good game.

If that is the actual song in the game then I am definitely turning the music all the way down. I still prefer the smoother framerate of PS4. Just looking at the scenery go by it's very flickery on the switch and that is a tad too offputting for me.

@molkom yep you should absolutely love it if the switch nails the fps part. I played it on ps4 pro and omg the speed and the soundtrack and the adrenaline rush is right up there with Wipeout. Turn the sound up and it feels like your in an arcade in the good old days. In some ways I actually like it more than wipeout, can't put my finger on why, maybe the unique graphics and speed combined with what i think is a soundtrack full of synth and tech that I love.

@Toadie Did you play it on Switch and did you notice any significant technical problems or framerate issues?

ok I'm confused....I just read another review where they said the game is plagued with framerate issues and technical problems on the switch????

@Prizm Thanks... I love that playing these games makes you feel like your at an arcade centre with all the colours they put into their racing games and awesome sound effects. So fingers crossed on this one!

Unfortunately, he wasted his time on updated graphics as nearly everyone turns them off. The game is close to the original which I have played to death on the Amiga but little things miss the mark. The sound effect from the stars of invincibility that swirl around you after being revived from death are not quite right and if you put headphones on with the switch the sound is terribly compressed and downright awful. So close but yet so far.

I remember Alex saying the framerate in the early build was worse than bad so I have my fingers crossed that they ironed out all the wrinkles because I loved the other games.

My son will read this so I will say it for him. I wish the complete game was on the physical version !!

This is actually quite good for those that remember the Amiga and loved the Bitmap bros. I have been playing it on Xbox which mainly gathers dust these days. I mainly play with retro original graphics turned on and apart from the main theme song opening that was not allowed to be used, everything else is in there from the original. I loved Chaos Engine and Magic pockets a bit more though. I want them to make a mini Amiga one day

I just have this sinking feeling that this game will get delayed to September but I'm hoping it doesn't go down that path. Day one purchase for me for sure

@Stargazer I think they should be committed to quality as opposed to the crap team over at Trailblazers that don't seem to care or maybe just not talented enough to fix their mess.

The chaos engine would still work today on switch, something I was thinking of when I watched this trailer. This game could be good though!

Playing it on ps4 and loving it. Music is sooooo good and smooth as butter, though I don't know how they are going to do this on switch I hope they succeed.

This was delayed for a reason. It's a shame because it had potential and I emailed the developers for a while but the problems still exist on the Ps4 version. Handling is worse than bad It looks good though but smooth is not a word I would use to describe it.

@stylon yeah you will love it and the music is awesome too. I will always regret selling my Amiga 500 and 600 and 1200 and cd32 geez why do I sell stuff, haha.

I've been playing it on steam and have to say its heaps of fun and like the reviewer says very twitchy. I will probably buy this one. Now someone remake speed freaks please

I have this on PS4 and anyone who loves Lotus from the Amiga days should love this as much as I do. It's deceivingly difficult but smooth as butter. I will be double dipping when this comes out for sure:)

i got to the first boss if sorts just after the tutorial and rolled out of his way and bang....the game froze and the rumble just went crazy and would not stop. For a about 25 seconds no buttons would work and the switch would not turn off, then it suddenly did stop so I took the game out and returned it but even before that I thought the movement was just not smooth enough for me to enjoy it. Luckily my switch was not wrecked as I was worried about at the time.

ill give it a go guys after reading your interview transcript. I have always supported your games so why stop now.

@Kienda Yep kids really make you think a lot differently. Don't think I'll ever stop playing games though

Also a quick note to the players.. use single player mode. I was using the classic mode arcade and tournament and the physics are wrong on both of these but somehow corrected when playing the first mode. Try hitting the captive ball on fish tales on all modes and you will see the difference.

Very surprising remarks on here. I'm the biggest pinball fan of any having owned nearly all these tables in the past and I am very grateful to be able to play them with better physics than the pinball arcade ever did and better graphics. Zen Studios have done a great job and I love the game You don't notice that stuff when your having fun!

loving the game BUT my son has encountered a bug and now his game won't load at all even after uninstalling. I have contacted the developer and they say hopefully with next patch but then I read somewhere that it's not coming until November.....that's not great.

Don't know why it's suddenly a co-op shooter ? I bought it for the PS4 and was very disappointed. Bad wonky racing physics and bouncing from wall to wall and just not your wipeout friendly smooth gameplay at all. I hope they have worked it over from the ground up because it has the looks of a good game.

Perfectly timed release with Wimbledon around the corner Definitely picking this one up! In the tutorial I am sure I can remember it saying you have to wait for the ball to bounce before you hit it, Not true....this is called a volley

Played a little bit this morning and have to say I am very impressed. Must buy for me Had to laugh at Yoshi when I got him to taunt the opponent. For some reason I just wanted to keep looking at that huge replay screen on the court that shows the match for the people who are in the game, looks beautiful.
