Re: Talking Point: What On Earth Is Going On With Square Enix?

EvilRegal

This makes it all the more painful and infuriating that the Pixel Remasters have STILL not been announced!!! I’m not holding my breath for the next Direct (or one after that) either, since the last batch of classic FF remasters on mobile ALSO skipped Nintendo systems entirely! And we can’t have I-VI, that old school Nintendo fans would love on Switch, coming out on a Nintendo system, now can we? 😡 That would actually make sense and make people happy, and the 2022 gaming industry can’t have that! 😜

The complaint of the never ending denial of classic FF on modern Nintendo platforms out of the way, I’m very much looking forward to Octopath Traveler II!

Re: YouTuber Ends Metroid Prime Music Covers After Nintendo's Lawyers Call

I’ve been a die hard Nintendo fan since my grandma got my NES in October of 1987. Even before that, I’d play their arcade games, and owned a tabletop Donkey Kong. That said, top to bottom, I really don’t like Nintendo in 2022. It pains me, but they reek of a greedy corporation that doesn’t care about it’s consumers. It really feels like they turned to the Dark Side at some point. Their games are even missing that Magic lately. I’m a long way from ending my relationship with them, but I’d be lying if I said I approve of their general practices as of late. 😞

Re: Nintendo Is Closing The 3DS & Wii U eShops And Has "No Plans To Offer Classic Content In Other Ways"

I haven’t read through everyone’s comments, someone may’ve mentioned it. The thing about this that makes me SAD is the loss of the adorable little e-shop animated shopping bag! I loved seeing it cheerfully hop around, it made me happy to watch. May seem like a small thing, but it bothers me, because 2022 Nintendo lacks the charm & playfulness to bring it back. I’m a Nintendo fan going back to getting my NES in 1987. Of course they’re a company, they want money. But, their decisions lately feel especially greedy and anti-consumer. I think they’ve become too big for their pixels, and lost touch with what has made people love them over the years. Like little e-shop bag. I REALLY don’t like worst timeline Nintendo. We don’t see sweet little touches like this on the Switch storefront (heck, 2022 Nintendo won’t even give us folders). Rest In Peace, little guy, I hope we see you again, outside old YouTube videos. 😞

Re: A Familiar Foe Is Punished Again By Metroid Dread Sequence Breakers

EvilRegal

@Muddy_4_Ever I put my vote in for Metroid Dread in Game of the Year & Best Adventure Game! I’ve not played a lot, but by far my GOTY. Maybe my favorite Metroid period!

Can’t wait to see if there are more sequence break shenanigans from Samus! 😁

BTW, Sakurai, can we PLEEAAASSSEE have one more character? Raven Beak could be S-Tier! I’d like to think he’s a shoe-in for Super Smash Bros for Super Switch!

Re: Random: Nintendo's Switch Online 'Expansion Pack' Trailer Is Now Its Most Disliked YouTube Video Ever

The next article could be how many effs Nintendo gives. As long as they’re getting enough subscribers to satisfy their financial goals for the service, they do… not… care how hated it is! I’ve been a massive Nintendo fan of 34 years, and it is always going to do what it feels is in it’s financial interest, regardless of backlash. Only thing I can do as a consumer is vote with my (in this case) closed wallet, and hope others do likewise.

Re: Nintendo Wants To Know Whether You Prefer 2D Or 3D Zelda Games

EvilRegal

People are going to vote 2D Zelda into oblivion with these results. No more Link to the Past, Link Between Worlds, Minish Cap... Just ports, if we’re lucky. Hope everyone loves their 3D Zelda, because that’s all we stand to get in the future with results this lopsided when NoJ sees this lack of interest in 2D.

Re: Nintendo To Remaster 'Most Of Super Mario’s 35-Year Catalogue' For Switch in 2020, New Report Says

EvilRegal

I'd love if this is true. Unless it's been in the works and already about finished, though, I doubt we'll see it this year. With Covid-19 disrupting every aspect of life, I think about the most games we'll see are ones already finished, and ready for release, like Final Fantasy VII Remake. Releases are really going to dry up as the year progresses, because developers are unable to work on projects, with all the complications of Corona.

About the only human activity this year is going to be being in seculsion, and buying toilet paper (while social distancing, of course... I hope).
