Right, so, there's this new movie called "Moonfall", and I don't know, it just seems... really... similar... to something...
It's on the tip of my tongue. I swear I've seen this before. Moon... falling... everyone dying... I'm SURE this reminds me of something, I just can't remember what.
In Moonfall, a mysterious force knocks the Moon from its orbit around Earth and sends it hurtling on a collision course with life as we know it.
Yeah, yeah, I remember this! The "mysterious force" is like, a kid? Or a skeleton? A skeleton-kid? Or something? No, that can't be right.
With mere weeks before impact and the world on the brink of annihilation, NASA executive and former astronaut Jo Fowler (Academy Award winner Halle Berry) is convinced she has the key to saving us all - but only one astronaut from her past, Brian Harper (Patrick Wilson, "Midway") and a conspiracy theorist K.C. Houseman (John Bradley, "Game of Thrones") believe her.
Yeah, I don't recognise any of these names. Although I have the really weird feeling that "KC" stands for... Kafei Child?
These unlikely heroes will mount an impossible last-ditch mission into space, leaving behind everyone they love, only to find out that our Moon is not what we think it is.
Oh! Oh! Spoilers: I'm fairly sure that the Moon is a garden full of weird children with one single tree in it. And also, and I know this sounds crazy, but I'm pretty certain that the way to solve the whole moon-not-being-where-it's-supposed-to-be problem is a combination of music, time travel, and doing small favours for people.
Ugh, why can't I think of what this movie reminds me of? Please help.

Is this satire? I'm confused... really confused.
Roland Emmerich. Itβs going to be awful.
Why does the Moon look like it's around the same size as the Earth in this trailer?
Must be thinking of this indie game called To The Moon. No clue what else it could be.π
I can't quite make out if you're being sarcastic about not recognising any of the names?
You're right, Kate. This is obviously an unofficial adaptation of Super Mario Sunshine. I hope that Nintendo see this.
What is this site anymore? π΅βπ«
I donβt see the point in the article-long sarcasm, but this movie will certainly crash and burn really hard. However, there should be a movie adaptation to that Zelda game
@Snatcher The βRandomβ tag has existed for years now. About 2014 or 2015. The site hasnβt changed in the slightest.
the other moon disaster movie i think you are referring to is melancholia.
@nessisonett
The original Independence Day was admittedly a fun romp, but yeah, almost everything else this guy has directed have been misses.
@westman98 Independence Day would have been better with a Will Smith title song. Wikki Wikki Windependence Day.
Anyways, can't wait forever the inevitable Asylum rip-off: Lunardrop
Looks like more doom porn from the Illuminati.
Zelda fans when the sun blows up and kills all signs and records of humanity in 4058 and it reminds them of Majoraβs mask
Two brothers...in a van...running...from giant cat monsters...
@nessisonett I know I know, I just joking.
@Ryan_Again Roland Emmerich is many things but Iβm fairly certain he isnβt in the Illuminati.
CG tech demos extended way too long with acting memes. My favorite.
A better name for this movie would be Vroom in the night sky
@MarkusM And then there's a Mexican Armada with weapons made of tomato, and some warrior old ladies show up, and there's giant cats too, I think...
Sounds like it could be fun popcorn flick
Thatβs no moonβ¦ Itβs a Majoraβs Mask ripoff! π
Stories about the Moon falling, exploding, or being destroyed are incredibly common.
It's Final Fantasy IV: The After Years all over again.
I know the game you're thinking of! It was "The Bus That Couldn't Slow Down."
Gonna need to drink the special milk to get through it
And this children is how you kill a joke
Patrick Wilson pretty much exclusively appears in bad movies but Iβve just loved the squinty palooka ever since Phantom.

Call Goku, he will destroy it with a single blast and then he will lose his tail
This reads more like a twitter post than a news article.
Same feeling just figured it out it was a mini series called Impact https://m.imdb.com/title/tt1227637/
