It's nice to see Nintendo BENEFIT from a third party defection instead of suffering from it. Can't remember the last time someone went to Nintendo instead of leaving them!
There have been some painful losses in the past. As a Nintendo fan, it was a real gut punch when Square took Final Fantasy and everything else to PlayStation in 1996 (it was then I decided to get the PS). Not to mention Microsoft buying Rare, and many franchises/series that stopped appearing on Nintendo systems.
Nice not being on the short end of the stick again. This is something that gives me hope for Wii U. At least until PS4 & Xbox 720, when developers likely return to them full force. Even then, we'll be getting the likes of HD Zelda.
Interesting. He tries to claim that the PS3 & Vita together can do what the Wii U can, when the two individual pieces if hardware are separated in release by over half a decade and would cost perhaps TWICE what the Wii U does if bundled. Then, following this flawed argument, he doesn't point out perhaps the only advantage the 3DS/PS3 combo would have, that the GamePad doesn't double as a standalone handheld. Of course, that argument goes down the tubes if Nintendo turns 3DS into a Wii U controller, which could happen. For a head of marketing being paid presumably good money, he's not presenting a very good argument here logically, and fails to seize upon other openings.
That's one thing I love about Nintendo. They maintain their own identity, regardless of what anybody else is doing. They are the trendsetters and innovators in gaming. As we further see in pieces like this where the competition tries to claim that mismatched pieces of their technology are just as capable. Or they outright copy Nintendo later on, as with motion controller technology. I never hear Nintendo say, "me too." They do their own thing, which often hasn't been done before.
"...nothing to announce right now?" It's a little under 2 months until release, and VC is one of the aspects of Wii U that hardly a word has been spoken about!!! If there aren't GameCube games, that would concern me that they aren't going to try hard with Wii U VC.
That picture unintentionally brings up an issue, and I'm looking at you, Duck Hunt box art (laughing dog FTW!!!)! We need Light Gun and Super Scope games on Wii U VC! Not sure what we'd use for the gun, but I imagine Nintendo would come up with a solution to that, which would make them a few more rupees in the process. Me is a sad pony that the Light Gun & Super Scope don't work on modern TVs (I don't know if it's all of them or not).
It's pretty ridiculous that Nintendo has to prove themselves to any 3rd party, after all the success Nintendo has brought to 3rd parties since the days of the NES (your Konamis, Capcoms, and Squares are where they are today thanks in large part to Big N). Plus the fact that, in comparison, Sony and (especially) Microsoft are relative newcomers. Should be the other way around, that 3rd parties must prove something to Nintendo before they can make games for their systems. I don't like this notion that 3rd parties are taking a wait and see attitude.
On a side note, Wal-Mart ticks me off. They're so special, getting to do their own special forced bundle packages (BARF). Just like they were so special getting to drop 3DS' price early.
Oh, I called a couple of them on Wednesday to see if they were doing preorders in-store. Neither person even knew what a Wii U is!!! Reason # 547 to hate Wal-Mart: Sticking employees in departments with products they don't know THING ONE about! When I'm in good enough shape that I can afford to shop elsewhere, I'm swearing off Wal-Mart FOREVER (that's 4 evers ).
Not only preordered, but sent a credit card well on its way to maxed out fairly bright & early Thursday to avoid a repeat of the nightmare It was finding a Wii. I couldn't afford one at launch, then there was the infamous shortages.
I finally got one April 1, 2008, about a year-and-a-half after launch. When someone at a Wal-Mart said they just got a shipment, I think I asked if it was an April Fools joke. Needless to say, I flew like a Batsy out of Gotham to pick one up. Benefit of getting it that long after launch, though, was the ability to bring Brawl and Super Mario Galaxy home with me. Plus, there was a pretty good VC library built up.
@Applejacklove That's smart, having it delivered. It'll be a madhouse at my GameStop on Nov. 18th., and I'm going to feel the need to have security escort me to my vehicle like a little old lady. I'll have the pepper spray at the ready! Even then, I'll feel like I'm in a movie on the way home, checking my rear view mirror to see if I'm being followed! If you hear of a crazy car chase in Tulsa on the news, you know that's just FluttershyGuy trying to evade those who would steal his Wii U! Too bad I don't have a white Bronco, for authenticity.
I'd have another on top of all those that already had me pay the full balance on a Deluxe if they'd give more info on the VC! The lack of info worries me that Wii U VC will be an afterthought.
$60 expensive? Shoot, I remember SNES and Nintendo 64 games often getting into the $80 range. My grandparents said the original Legend of Zelda was over $100! Quality comes at a price, and Nintendo regularly makes the price of admission worthwhile. Even though I'm in less than stellar economic condition, I'm saving my gaming dollars for fewer Nintendo games, rather than a ton of iOS games.
Judging how well Nintendo still did in the cartridge-based console days, they'll be just fine (admittedly, they took a hit in the N64 days, facing cheaper PSOne discs).
The likes of Mario, Zelda, and Samus in HD will be too much for gamers to resist. The speed with which preorders have been discontinued suggests that this will be another Wii, not GameCube, in terms of sales. And that tells me that millions still consider Nintendo games to be worth the sometimes steep price.
Since 2008, their only original games have been Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, Kinect Sports, and Kinect Sports Season 2. Compare that to their former output of tremendous games for Nintendo and it's simply a tragedy. Go here and see that huge list of Nintendo games compared to how MS is letting them rot... http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_video_games_developed_by_Rare#section_1
In other words, there'll be a tiny Mega Man 25th anniversary mention at their website. If we're lucky, it'll be a little banner at the top of the page. He's telling us to keep expectations in check because they're likely giving MM about as much fanfare as Metroid got for its 25th (in other words, none). Until I see proof, I din't believe Mega Man, in any form, is anything but dead to Capcom. I hope I'm proven wrong.
What it's become in general, I'm not sure I'd buy a Capcom game even if Street Fighter V came out.
I have no problem with 2 NSMB games in a short span. It's making up for the N64/GameCube era, from where I stand. My problem with more Mario beyond these is that there are so many franchises that are currently being ignored. It's time to give them another chance.
Yesterday, I called several places and they'd already been hit hard by people reserving and inquiring about Wii U. And this was right after the announcement yesterday morning, 9-10 AM-ish, when people are at work/school. If what I experienced here in Tulsa is the norm, it'll sell like the proverbial gangbusters. One guy I spoke to at one of the GameStops told me to get down to reserve it NOW if I want one. He's somewhat of a friend, and wouldn't say that just to build a sense of urgency in me and sell a system.
I think it's going to be at least CLOSE to the hit that it's predecessor was, and Patcher will prove to be full of it (we should make him our NL mascot ).
"ARE YOU READY??? You think you can tell us what to do? You think you can tell us what to wear? You think that you're better? Well, you better get ready. Bow to The Masters! BREAK IT DOWN!!!"
Whoa Black Betty bam-a-lam indeed (or whatever they say here LOL). I like this trend of trailers action synced to awesome music. Borderlands 2 had a trailer to the tune of "The Lion Sleeps Tonight", and it was bat bleep insane/awesome!
Rayman is probably now my second most wanted Wii U game, but man does it look hard!
Now, I gotta go download Black Betty, which I should be smacked for not having on my iPod Touch.
Let's see... This event showcasing Nintendo's next generation of awesomeness, or Apple's that'll insure millions more cell phone users on the road trying to kill me? That's an easy choice. Not Apple-hating. I want the new iPod Touch! You just need to be driving a tank to be safe on today's roads!
The Japanese ND this morning will be a delicious appetizer to whet the appetite for the main course.
Doubt I could use my Mii. I couldn't jump high to save my life. I'm the living embodiment of "white men can't jump!" Wesley Snipes was referring to me in the film when his character said that to Woody Harrelson's. Besides, I went in to rescue Princess Peach, she'd say, "who the fawk are you?"
@espinozac7
Only problem I have with more customization is it opens the door to charging $ for every little thing you can add to your Mii. Wanna dress like Link? That's 5 Rupees!
@BigBluePanda
I missed that announcement, but you're not the only one happy with it.
Going in bright & early Thursday morning to reserve, well, SOMETHING! Have to wait until I findout what news comes out of New York brighter & earlier Thursday. Whatever the case, I plan to make out like a FluttershyGuyBANDIT on Thursday; with a black Wii U, Pro Controller, and New Super Mario Bros. U reserved.
Austin Powers: MONTY MOLEY MOLEY MOLEY! Go ahead and name this New Super Mario World, Nintendo. You know you want to. With all the SMW I see all over the place, hopefully we get some SMW music remixes too.
For some reason, I never get bored of looking at Code of Princess artwork. The lovely Solange aside, it's been a long time since I've played a good medieval Final Fight-style game (it was probably King of Dragons & Knights of the Round). This looks like it'll fill that void.
Being married to Milla Jovovich, I guess the man does have the drive and enthusiasm to bring each and every game franchise to the big screen! I guess I'd feel like doing great things too. Not all of these come to fruition, though. I wanted to see what he could do with Castlevania, but it went into development Hell years ago.
My thing about these new video game generations is this: How long before the graphics are so good that video games are really nothing more than interactive movies? As Thomas pointed out in the article, we're approaching photo-realism in games. We see more and more games where you play a little, get cutscene, play a little, get cutscene. It takes the gaming out of video gaming!
I love movies as much or more than the next guy. But, when I want a movie, I'll stick one in my DVD player. I want video games to remain video games!
Anyone else fear the day that video games are basically glorified interactive movies?
I've been celebrating before now, playing Final Fantasy IV for the FF anniversary, and my 20th anniversary of playing my first FF game! Then, I played the vastly underrated FF: Mystic Quest earlier in the year. My next playthroughs are going to be FF IV: The After Years (WiiWare version that I haven't finished, and the other two Super Famicom/SNES originated games, FF V & FF VI.
I was happy to see Final Fantasy Dimensions' release (though I wish it was for 3DS) recently, as I feared not seeing anymore old school-type titles. I'm hoping for its release on 3DS at some point, plus the remakes of V & VI I've waited years for (the only two old school pre-PlayStation titles that have not seen remakes yet). At any rate, we need a regular Final Fantasy title for 3DS (plus the Game Boy games, even though they're actually Mana & SaGa titles).
As for the main series, It'll be a great day to be a Nintendo fan if we see FF XV, or even Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII on Wii U! It's been a dream for many years to see the numbered titles back on a Nintendo console for the first time since FF VI. Square-Enix could make up for abandoning Nintendo for a while by making a FF VII remake Wii U-exclusive. Hopefully XV will be in the works soon, with Lightning Returns being the last FF XIII game. There was a tech demo at E3 that looked like it could turn into XV.
Here, have a historic, iconic image that should forever be remembered by video gamers! Happy birthday, Final Fantasy: One of my all-time favorite video game series (perhaps even my absolute favorite).
@-Max-
There sure wasn't much fanfare, then. In the past, Nintendo has publicized the milestone and released something major! I'm wondering if that 400 total is including games that have been removed from the Wii Shop due to licensing issues (I think there were some Irem games, TMNT, etc.). If that's the case, we'd still be a few short, and a mega release could still be forthcoming!
Sorely tempted by Prince of Persia. I wanted to get it many moons ago, but never did. Wasn't it released by Konami back in the day, and Ubi got the rights?
Another thing, quotes from third parties like this give me the concern that third party support is going to be severely lacking... AGAIN! Especially when PlayStation 4 & Xbox 720 are out and Nintendo's is the inferior technology... AGAIN! Does anybody else have this fear? I was really hoping Wii U would be the only console I'd have to get in order to be covered for third party games I get, but now I have my doubts.
I imagine I'll have to get a PS4/720 for the likes of Street Fighter V & Final Fantasy XV. Just as I had to get 360 for Street Fighter IV and PS3 for Final Fantasy XIII. I guess that's life for a Nintendo gamer, having to get multiple systems or miss out on some franchises. Still, with it's rich, incomparable history & pedigree, I think Nintendo will forever be the place to go for the best first party games. So, we have that
Regardless, I miss the SNES days when we got about everything the Genesis got (except Sega titles, obviously) and often MORE!
@burninmylight
Hello, fellow Tulsan! Happy to see another Tulsa NintendoLifer here too! There's at least one other here at NL that I know of!
And, yeah, as I expected in '03 when Vision was on the ballot, attractions would still go to OKC, or to Texas instead of BOK Center (but, hey, we did get the worst team in the WNBA... Shock & Thunder are kind of a symbol of the disparity between Tulsa & OKC). Taxes are already sky high here, and now Bartlett is pushing this extension off on us for "Vision2." Like the first one, I'll vote no, but I guess others that aren't having money problems will get it passed. It's all just a way of pawning any and all city improvements off on us taxpayers already taxed to death and facing skyrocketing cost of living.
Oh well, at any rate there is YouTube that I imagine has video of concerts. On a side note, seeing the cosplay makes me want to be Link for Halloween. Now I just need a green tunic, Master Sword & Hylian Shield replica, and some hair color.
As usual, not coming to Tulsa. Yet another reason to be annoyed that I as a taxpayer will be paying for our brand spanking new arena for years to come, and I still don't see things like this that I want here. So, @TwilightPoint , I feel your pain fellow Brony. Great for American/Canadian fans in MAJOR cities.
Great, informative article! I'd wondered about the reason for the different names.
You ought to do one on Contra/Probotector (as it's been called in Europe). That one (along with why Contra isn't on VC) has always puzzled me. We had our weirdness here too, though. NES Super Conta was called Super C to avoid any comparison to the Oliver North Iran-Contra Affair.
I'm not as upset about that. What gets me about the report is that they mention their major franchises and fail to mention Mega Man. It shows their mindset, that Mega Man doesn't matter to Capcom anymore.
They even name Lost Planet & Dead Rising. How do you mention relatively new IPs that haven't sold a fraction of what The Blue Bomber has over the years, and leave MM out??? In my mind, MM is Capcom's main mascot over Ryu! MM is already apparently a dead franchise, why don't they spit on him while they're at it?
Are they still punishing Inafune, do they have no use for MM, or what? Capcom needs to just sell the rights to Inafune or whatever if they're not interested in MM.
I noticed other notable franchises aren't mentioned. Final Fight, Ghosts 'n Goblins, Strider, Bionic Commando... I'd mention all of those ahead of Lost Planet & Dead Rising. I guess this all highlights why I haven't bought a Capcom game since Super Street Fighter IV 3D. With them looking to make more games and spawn more sequels, however, maybe it'll change.
I'd like to see a sequel to the vastly underrated Code Name: Viper. I think it'd be just as relevant today as in 1990, since drugs are probably even more widespread.
And, honestly, even as a bonafied Nintendo fan boy of 25 years, I look at Wii U as Big N playing catch up and joining the PS3/X360 generation. Wii was like 3/4 last generation (let's face it, graphically it wasn't 't a huge step up from GameCube) and 1/4 this generation. Pains me to say, but Nintendo is joining the party about 6 years later, when the new party is just about to start sigh. I'd love to see a time when Nintendo is trying to set the standard do graphics, as it did in the SNES days.
Pshaw! We need a puzzle panel here in the States of the mighty Quarter Pounder with Cheese. Or Royale with Cheese for you European folk. Of course, Big Mac's a Big Mac wherever, or Le Big Mac in Paris, EEEYUP! What's a Whopper in Europe? I didn't go into a Burger King.
I can't express my sheer joy that there are no plans for connectivity with Mugbook & Tweeter. I wouldn't want to lose it getting umpteen Farmvile requests while I'm playing New Super Mario Bros. U, and take a hammer to my Wii U.
I can't express my sheer joy that there are no plans for connectivity with Mugbook & Tweeter. I wouldn't want to lose it getting umpteen Farmvile requests while I'm playing New Super Mario Bros. U, and take a hammer to my Wii U.
I'm sorry, UK gamers. As an American losing Nintendo Power, I feel your pain.
This all kind of aggravates me. So, Sony & Microsoft continue to have official magazines, but Nintendo just wants to bow out and leave their fans without one? That kind of rotten in my book. This, and Nintendo severely skimping on laughably tiny instruction manuals. Has The Big N thought of how this may affect fans, and the appearance of conceding something to their business rivals?
It'll now be the only of the Big Three without its own official magazine (though I don't know about Japan).
I guess if having played the SNES original makes you over the hill, then I've got one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel. I played the original non-classic Street Fighter in arcades. (btw, there is a scene in the 1992 film "Juice" where they're playing SF I )
I played SF II (it was Champion Edition) at a convenience store in downtown Tulsa in February of '92. Don't know why I remember, but the Grammys were on that night.
The experience was one of life's magical moments. Everything about it was awe inspiring for me (I hadn't seen or heard of it yet somehow... it was during a gap in my gaming life). I was Ryu and fought Dhalsim. Won that first fight in 3 rounds, but didn't have much luck after, as I did not yet know hadoken, shoryuken, or hardly any other moves.
Winning and losing was immaterial, however. After all, "the fight is everything!" A lifelong Street Fighter was born that February evening!
@Wheels2050 Yes, it is completely backward. One would think displays of affection between people would be preferable to violence and bloodshed. Doesn't seem to be the case, though. Another example is CSI. The original that debuted in 2000 set a trend for showing gruesome deaths and gore on TV. It's one of the most popular shows around to this day. But, if the lovely Ms. Jorja Fox flashed a breast for half a second, various groups would organize rioting in front of CBS headquarters. Remember the outcry after Janet Jackson's (staged) "wardrobe malfunction?" The FCC doesn't fine networks for depicted decapitations, does it?
And the subject here is video games, but the same standard applies. When PETA made that cartoon about Mario wearing a bloody tanooki skin, hardly anybody batted an eyelid. Most reaction was ridicule of them, Best I remember (and it was reaching). Now, can you all imagine the outcry if it were ever even HINTED that Mario & Peach "got it on", even in another castle?
The moral compass for society in general is not just off, it's broken as HA-IL!!!
Something else, here in America where we love our guns & violence, this is a relatively insignificant issue, except amongst the occasional politician that's courting the "family vote" before an election. If this were about SEX in a video game, man would there be a BLEEP storm! Or there wouldn't be an article like this at all, because two people showing affection to each other rather than filling each other with bullet holes is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE, and therefore the sexual content wouldn't even make it into the game to be made an issue of. MAKE WAR, NOT LOVE!!!
Same as real life, I could live with the hunting game if the animals had guns too. How would humanity like it if something were hunting us for sport & fun? But, animals would never do that to us. They hunt for the sake of nourishment, and therefore survival. Viridi has the right idea about us.
@Applejacklove It's lotsa fun, with all kinds of things to create (including music... check out MP-created songs on YouTube, there are TONS of every song imaginable), a fly swatting game to take a break with, and a great soundtrack! I hope they one day put it on VC (I think it would work fine without a mouse), along with Light Zapper and Super Scope 6 games (and plent of other games that were missed in the Wii VC era.
Well, I've had my morning entertainment. Back to sleep a lil while. cue Final Fantasy IV sleep jingle

Re: This New 3DS Stylus Is Handy for Massaging Your Face
But, does it take care of pimples & blackheads is what I wanna know. I also want it to enable switching faces, al a "Face/Off!"
Re: Nintendo of America Wii U Event Will be Live Online
Let's see... This event showcasing Nintendo's next generation of awesomeness, or Apple's that'll insure millions more cell phone users on the road trying to kill me? That's an easy choice. Not Apple-hating. I want the new iPod Touch! You just need to be driving a tank to be safe on today's roads!
The Japanese ND this morning will be a delicious appetizer to whet the appetite for the main course.
Re: New Super Mario Bros. U Character Choices Explained
@espinozac7
Only problem I have with more customization is it opens the door to charging $ for every little thing you can add to your Mii. Wanna dress like Link? That's 5 Rupees!
@BigBluePanda
I missed that announcement, but you're not the only one happy with it.
Re: Rumour: You Will Be Able To Preorder Wii U At GameStop This Thursday
Going in bright & early Thursday morning to reserve, well, SOMETHING! Have to wait until I findout what news comes out of New York brighter & earlier Thursday. Whatever the case, I plan to make out like a FluttershyGuyBANDIT on Thursday; with a black Wii U, Pro Controller, and New Super Mario Bros. U reserved.
Re: New Super Mario Bros. Wii U Details And Screens Bounce Into View
Austin Powers: MONTY MOLEY MOLEY MOLEY!
Go ahead and name this New Super Mario World, Nintendo. You know you want to. With all the SMW I see all over the place, hopefully we get some SMW music remixes too.
Re: Code of Princess Shows Off Its Competitive Side
For some reason, I never get bored of looking at Code of Princess artwork. The lovely Solange aside, it's been a long time since I've played a good medieval Final Fight-style game (it was probably King of Dragons & Knights of the Round). This looks like it'll fill that void.
Re: Resident Evil Director Wants To Make a Monster Hunter Flick
Being married to Milla Jovovich, I guess the man does have the drive and enthusiasm to bring each and every game franchise to the big screen! I guess I'd feel like doing great things too. Not all of these come to fruition, though. I wanted to see what he could do with Castlevania, but it went into development Hell years ago.
Re: Talking Point: Wii U and the Next Generation of Consoles
My thing about these new video game generations is this: How long before the graphics are so good that video games are really nothing more than interactive movies? As Thomas pointed out in the article, we're approaching photo-realism in games. We see more and more games where you play a little, get cutscene, play a little, get cutscene. It takes the gaming out of video gaming!
I love movies as much or more than the next guy. But, when I want a movie, I'll stick one in my DVD player. I want video games to remain video games!
Anyone else fear the day that video games are basically glorified interactive movies?
Re: Many Happy Returns, Final Fantasy - You're 25 This Year
One more thing... TCELES B HSUP.
Re: Many Happy Returns, Final Fantasy - You're 25 This Year
I've been celebrating before now, playing Final Fantasy IV for the FF anniversary, and my 20th anniversary of playing my first FF game!

Re: Nintendo Download: 6th September 2012 (North America)
@-Max-
There sure wasn't much fanfare, then.
Re: Evidence Suggests That Ace Attorney 5 Will Be Coming to the West
No objection here! HOWEVER...

Jack McCoy for Ace Attorney 5!!!!! Make it happen, Capcom!
Re: Nintendo Download: 6th September 2012 (North America)
Sorely tempted by Prince of Persia. I wanted to get it many moons ago, but never did. Wasn't it released by Konami back in the day, and Ubi got the rights?
Re: Capcom: The Next Gen Doesn't Start With Wii U
Re: New Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses Tour Dates Are Music to Our Ears
@burninmylight
Re: New Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses Tour Dates Are Music to Our Ears
As usual, not coming to Tulsa. Yet another reason to be annoyed that I as a taxpayer will be paying for our brand spanking new arena for years to come, and I still don't see things like this that I want here. So, @TwilightPoint , I feel your pain fellow Brony. Great for American/Canadian fans in MAJOR cities.
Re: Want to Know The Real Reason Star Fox Was Renamed in Europe?
Great, informative article! I'd wondered about the reason for the different names.
You ought to do one on Contra/Probotector (as it's been called in Europe). That one (along with why Contra isn't on VC) has always puzzled me. We had our weirdness here too, though. NES Super Conta was called Super C to avoid any comparison to the Oliver North Iran-Contra Affair.
Re: Capcom: The Next Gen Doesn't Start With Wii U
Re: StreetPass Allows You to Look at a Big Mac... in 3D
Re: Talking Point: Miiverse and Social Networking
I can't express my sheer joy that there are no plans for connectivity with Mugbook & Tweeter. I wouldn't want to lose it getting umpteen Farmvile requests while I'm playing New Super Mario Bros. U, and take a hammer to my Wii U.

Re: Future Publishing Shutters Nintendo Gamer Magazine
I'm sorry, UK gamers. As an American losing Nintendo Power, I feel your pain.
This all kind of aggravates me. So, Sony & Microsoft continue to have official magazines, but Nintendo just wants to bow out and leave their fans without one? That kind of rotten in my book. This, and Nintendo severely skimping on laughably tiny instruction manuals. Has The Big N thought of how this may affect fans, and the appearance of conceding something to their business rivals?
It'll now be the only of the Big Three without its own official magazine (though I don't know about Japan).
Re: Capcom's Street Fighter Reaches Its Quarter Century
Re: Talking Point: The Rules for Violence in Video Games
@Wheels2050
Yes, it is completely backward.
Re: Talking Point: The Rules for Violence in Video Games
Something else, here in America where we love our guns & violence, this is a relatively insignificant issue, except amongst the occasional politician that's courting the "family vote" before an election. If this were about SEX in a video game, man would there be a BLEEP storm! Or there wouldn't be an article like this at all, because two people showing affection to each other rather than filling each other with bullet holes is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE, and therefore the sexual content wouldn't even make it into the game to be made an issue of. MAKE WAR, NOT LOVE!!!
Re: Talking Point: The Rules for Violence in Video Games
Same as real life, I could live with the hunting game if the animals had guns too. How would humanity like it if something were hunting us for sport & fun? But, animals would never do that to us. They hunt for the sake of nourishment, and therefore survival. Viridi has the right idea about us.
Re: Watch: Japanese Nintendo Direct Live
Hai!
@Applejacklove
It's lotsa fun, with all kinds of things to create (including music... check out MP-created songs on YouTube, there are TONS of every song imaginable), a fly swatting game to take a break with, and a great soundtrack!
Re: Watch: Japanese Nintendo Direct Live
We should've gotten some Mario Paint music for this segment (anybody else like to see Mario Paint 3DS or U?).
