I remember playing this on the PS1 when an concerted effort was being made by both developers and magazines to get western players into turn based RPGs. This was the most hyped of the hyped, so I thought I'd give it try. God, it was dull! ENDLESS tedious "battles" where nothing would happen except life points would go down. I don't know how anybody could find that entertaining, either then or now.

I backed every issue of their previous effort Ninty Fresh, only for it to splutter to a halt after 7 or 8 issues. I'd like to back this too, but in this day and age with print mags being the way they are, the chances are the same thing will happen again.

Romero is fine but having heard his arrogant wife speaking at conventions nothing would surprise me in terms of how this company was managed.

Yet another cheap rehash of an old game. I understand that most of Nintendo's devs are busy working away on Switch 2 stuff, but the lack of respect for the established user base is palpable.

Have to go back a REALLY long time to when I went into shops and bought new. Basically the days of the SNES and Electronic Boutique being a UK thing. I still prefer physical but as soon as the Internet began buying online became totally the way to go.

Far too many reheats, rehashes and revisions of previous old games appearing on Switch imo. All Stars, Advance Wars, Links Awakening, Mario RPG to name but a few. Nintendo is getting lazy.

The best thing about Tron is Daft Punk's excellent soundtrack for the second film.

There have been wars been going on well before Ukraine blew up and will be going on long after it finishes. Would be extremely dumb if Advance Wars in postponed indefinitely because if it.

Nintendo's handhelds have always had longer lifespans than its traditional TV only based consoles.
Given that a 7/8 year shelf life is easily doable.

SNES. Nintendo were at the top of their game churning out genre defining titles like Mario Kart and Zelda 3 on cutting edge technology. What a shame they lost their crown later by using carts instead of discs for the N64, a mistake they've never fully recovered from.

Day one purchase.

I've always thought a Disney/Nintendo hook up makes a lot of sense.

I've been hoping for a long time Nintendo would do something bold and original with their online service, something like include an exclusive MMO. Guess I'll have to keep on hoping.

Need. More. Games. First party announcements are starting to resemble a desert.

Think I'll wait for Two Point Zoo to come out.

As a kid I got much joy from having my curvy PAL SNES cartridge collection on hand to own, play and yes, simply look at and feel. It's hard to think of the stamp sized efforts we get now in the same way.

Paid DLC to come.

The new iterations of Star Trek - Discovery and Picard - are beyond awful. You therefore can't now expect too much from games companies when the source material is so dire.

There's no kickstand and the battery only lasts 8 hours. So much for my hopes of using the clock function.

I loved NES games at the time but let's be honest, most haven't aged that well. As such don't think I'd invest in these.

@PotatoTheG While I sympathise with some of our American cousins wanting Nintendo Power back, ONM and UK gaming mags generally were always a lot more humourous and fun.

Think I paid about £2 for FIFA 2014 on the PS4 from my local CEX a few months back. Paying more is pointless as the games hardly change from one year to the next and it keeps the dosh out of EA's hands.

@Munchlax Or maybe one loaded with every Game and Watch on it for a more premium price? The gameplay on these things was VERY basic, but if Nintendo compensated for that by increasing the quantity, they could have a big seller on their hands.

Seems kind of short sighted to not include a kickstand if it doubles up as a clock.

Had a pre-order in with Amazon for this for a supposed end of sept release. Still waiting. Hope it's not delayed much longer.

If it can be used as a clock I assume it must have some sort of Switch like stand at the back? Pretty useless for that purpose if not.

I've got a copy of this gathering dust next to my PC which I bought a very long time ago. At this point rehashing a 16 year old game with minimal improvements is inexcusable. Why no RCT 4 or 5?

1992, Link and Mario Kart were both genre redefining titles.

Online and Nintendo Directs aren't a patch on the off the wall humour and sense of being part of a club you got from many of the old British games mags.

Always been a fan of Civ but I think we've finally reached a point where they have layered too much complexity into the game. I just can't get into it.

Some sort of bundled and exclusive MMO would be a real asset. It'd also be a new genre for Nintendo so give the service a unique selling point.

I don't rate the voice talent very highly.

SuperPlay kept the slightly surreal quirky British humour going that started with mags like 'Your Sinclair' in the 80s. Gaming culture lost a unique voice when it folded. If the producers of Falcon Punch have any sense it's something they should now be looking to revive big time.

You can sell your old games on ebay no problem. The issue is they're all a bunch of moochers and are out to rip you off!

Birth Of The Federation I found to be reasonable fun on PC. As probably the most strategy heavy Star Trek game ever made though it was sadly never going to turn up on any console.

It's a no brainer for them to enter the market eventually.

A museum to the company's history would make a lot more sense.
