@16bitdave Yeah, alot of games tend to do that; yugioh did that in conjunction with the anniversary, and LBX did the same with it's crossover movie with Inazuma Eleven.

@PlywoodStick Interesting point. Wonder how different things would have been if they didn't use Gen 1 pokemon. Perhaps it's like Force Awakens' case of being a new hope; it's the creator's use of intertexuality to draw the audience in and show that it's in good hands.

@NodesforNoids I'm hoping that as well, don't get me wrong, I fully support the game and it's endeavors. It's just that it feels to bit rough around the edges that's all. Although on another view I do see some Ico in there.

Mixed feelings here; find the game interesting, don't have the necessary phone; with the general reaction of most people, kind of glad I haven't. Well... there's that and my money issues, but hey ho.

I won't say it's brilliant, but I will say it has potential. Plus I think it might be jumping the gun to say it gives off Ico/Ghibli feels; I'd say more beyond good and evil. Though I'll admit the gameplay seems interesting, albeit a little underdeveloped, e.g. the combat.

@Shinzai Same for the first, Popplio for the second; mainly cause I don't give the water types enough love (It's always been fire or grass for all but gen 3, I definitely lieked mudkip). what about nicknames, due to the alchemy references in the game I was thinking of Hohenheim (if it fits), plus I feel like it matches Popplio's personality

I had only played Guardian Signs, but from my experience, I can only guess Shadows of Almia would be equally fun. Side note, who else enjoyed Pokemon Colosseum.

@JaxonH I can agree on that, so many games outside of nintendo had really grabbed my attention as of late, albeit some being indie, Undertale, Hyper Light Drifter and Team Ico games. What made the first two grab my attention was how different they got there messages across, heck with drifter you weren't entirely sure what the message was.

@SpykeKat If I remember correctly you can dress the cat as Ammy from okami, a tad oxymoronic if ya' ask me.

@Konnordano1615 Same here, although as you saw in my earlier comment, I go for a name I think matches my character's "personality". Take twilight princess for example; named my character "Oki" after the character from Okami, mainly because both transform into wolves at will, and Oki's theme sounds like it should be twilight princess.

@SpykeKat I've been there, especially with the lightning bolt sidequest. I especially loved the last section with Oki, who I always got in personality quizzes (my secret shame)

@SpykeKat Alright, once I'm secure with my money income and understand/trust the workings of the bank, I'll give it a buy. Probably name my character after Oki from Okami. Have you played Okami, if not then I'd definitely recommend it, you can get it fairly cheap on ebay. The copy I bought was sealed and only cost 13 quid.
