Re: Microsoft CEO Says He Would "Love To Get Rid Of" Exclusives On Consoles

DonierGunad

Is he saying that Sony forced Microsoft to Buy Zenimax for $7.5 Billion and put in a casual $68 billion dollar offer to buy Activision Blizzard? Its not like there buying and individual studios here, there buying PUBLISHERS, buying publishers dosent really seem like competeting to me. Gaming is turning into a literal streaming service and Microsoft want to he sure they own all the rights to the best stuff to minimise costs and maximumise profit.

Re: Baten Kaitos I & II HD Remaster Launches On Nintendo Switch This September

I remember taking the mick out of my mate for playing this back in the day. Thankfully I grew up a bit and bought myself a copy for the GC last year and I can see why he loved it so much. I pre-ordered the physical copy of the remaster through Game months ago and I'm glad now it finally has a release date. Looking forward to this and I can't wait to play both!!

Re: Soapbox: Returning To The Great Plateau In Zelda: TOTK Felt Like Coming Home

DonierGunad

Since I got ground level, I have done nothing that would really be seen as progression, other than run around and explore. The great plateau was my first port of call. It's like Nintendo went, here's a real sandbox, build stuff and have fun, oh and by the way here is an epic story you can follow if you wish but play it how you see fit. Nintendo went back to the Original Nes Zelda and modernised and I love it.

Re: Japanese Charts: Nintendo Cleans Up As Zelda Continues To Dominate

DonierGunad

I just look at the OLED, Original and Lite console to date numbers and my mind just explodes. That's over 30 million consoles, in one country over 1.5 years, 6 years and 4 year respectively contributing to total sales. Even as popular the PS4 was in that country, not even combined with the PS5 dose it even come close!!

Re: Talking Point: Could Nintendo Squeeze Another Zelda Game Out Of TOTK's Open World?

DonierGunad

I'd love a remake of Twilight Princess. Out of all the games that didn't age well, TP aged the worse, even with the HD version on Wii U, it just highlighted how dated it looks. I remember watching a Trailer for TP with the epic music and the enemies riding on Hogback, over the field of Hyrule, it blew me away. When I played it at release, it had the everything there and looked good for its time and it was definitely the most cinematic of all the previous Zeldas (I mean it didn't have to try all that hard). I just feel that a remake of that version of Hyrule, would sell quite well, not BOTW or TOTK sales sure, but It would outsell the original.

However, I am a fan of this type of Zelda game. It's selling the numbers the franchise deserves and getting the love it needs. Mario was always Nintendos creative outlet it seemed and Zelda always seemed to play safe in comparison. Now though the Zelda franchise is doing Mario game like numbers and I couldn't be more happy that people are enjoying it.

I think Nintendo might be smart and re-release the 3DS versions of OoT and MM as a double pack this holiday season and they would make a mint.

Re: UK Charts: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Lands The Top Spot, Once Again

DonierGunad

Quite pleased to see Metroid Prime remastered is still hanging out about in the top 40 again. TOTK is doing well, surprise surprise lol. I'm glad it's selling well, the game deserves it, as a fan of the old skool zelda trope, I'm definitely loving this new kind of Zelda, everything feels connected and well thought out. The amount of creativity in both games is amazing, even more so in TOTK, and I absolutely love it!! ❤️ thank you Nintendo.

Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom: Where Does It Fit In The Zelda Timeline?

DonierGunad

How about this for a theory. Breath of wild and Tears of the kingdom are a soft reboot (as I believe was said by kojima) of the Legend of Zelda series and there in some way remakes of the first and second games, but have all the Easter eggs in there for fan service. So now we have a timeline that follows in an actual series rather than just guesswork to put them some where in some obscure timeline they kind of cobbled together. Just a theory.........a game theory? Lol

Re: Upcoming Nintendo Switch Games And Accessories For May And June 2023

DonierGunad

Definitely a few physical games there I would like to get, even if I do own them as downloads already. That has always been a real problem of mine. I buy the download version and then I see a physical release and I automatically double dip. It's such a simple business technique and I go for it every time, even with me knowing that's what is happening. In short I'm a *****, but it makes me happy lol.
