Re: Feature: Remembering Satoru Iwata, Five Years On

DoktorTotenKopf

It still stings, knowing he’s gone. I was a touch critical of him when I was younger but that was a bit superficial on my end. (I was annoyed with him not wanting internet play or a DVD player on the Wii. Heh...) looking back and reading up on what he did with his team in terms of unique innovation, developing games and engineering new tech was nothing short of amazing. He gave Sakurai his much needed boost in getting Super Smash Bros greenlit and so much more.

Rest In Peace, Iwata-sama. You were a neat fellow and a genuinely sincere sort and I will always admire your work ethic and genuine enthusiasm for your company‘s innovation and special projects. Thank you for everything, sir.

Re: Rumour: A Tomb Raider Collection Might Be On The Way To Nintendo Switch

As neat as that sounds- I’m hesitant- while the old games have brought much joy and enthusiasm from fans over the years, the games haven’t aged well in the gameplay and visual department. I love the more modern survivalist games on PS4; their visuals, characterizations, stories and gameplay mechanics are well made and incredibly beautiful to watch unfold onscreen.

Dunno, folks- this doesn’t seem too great an idea.

Re: What Comes After Switch? Nintendo Discusses Plans For Future Game Consoles

I would hope they keep the hybrid home/portable component as a feature for future system(s), I would also love a battery life, brighter screen and more storage capacity built in. Also- please give us the ability to upload media, music, and custom backgrounds/folders in the system. The Switch and the Switch Lite got a lot right but there’s so much they could definitely improve upon and could they please add a proper legacy/Virtual Console library? The NSO is still a sick joke and could be leaps and bounds better...

Oh and full backwards compatibility with past Switch games, both digital and physical cart formats. I love my Switch and I have several games downloaded and lining my shelves. Having the ability to beam them or plug them into the inevitable new system would be spectacular.
