Re: The Wonderful 101 Saving Wallets on Wii U eShop

Was going to get this, but put off by being charged 17%. Total BS. I paid 12% to exchange some Canadian to US, if this is start of something, Nintendo can say goodbye to my e-dollars as I was buying eshop to support them, I can get cheaper at brick and mortar.

@Zach777 I know you're not joking and fail to understand why people don't realize these under handed tactics are occurring. Kudo's to you for posting this and putting up with people who disbelieve. Nintendo does not play the game the way the gluttonous industry does and that's hurting them, but I won't own anything other than a Wii U and I may get few games, but at least the games I get are all quality titles with great replay value. I am disappointed with what is happening to the Wii U, but not so naive to not realize Nintendo's failures have amplified the negative press proliferated by it's competitor's. Nintendo needs to figure out how to become less Japanese in it's PR, but maintain this part of their culture which enables them to make amazing games!

@aaronsullivan I'm not being sarcastic and I understand your points. What I am saying is short is the gaming industry is one of the biggest richest industries which a huge potential to make large amounts of cash... Of course it's hard to be successful, if it was easy everyone would do it. The way you say you love making games, but it's tricky to make money is one good way to say that and I wish you success to reward you for your hard work, but these whining gaming industry members who try to blame others for their misfortune and take part in bashing Nintendo, because Nintendo is different and doesn't do things like everyone else to make it easy for them.... I have no patience for those whiners. Then they should go work as something else. I have a close relationship with Japanese, I go to Japan many times for weeks on end. The way Nintendo is talked about is often borderline or racist by how it propagates stereotypes as facts. I deal with large and small Japanese business's. I really have a hard time believing Nintendo conducts business the way described in this article and other mainstream articles where people love to bash Nintendo. Like suggesting they can't speak in english etc... I just don't buy it and I'm at a point in my life where unless people can provide evidence to counter facts I have experienced, then I call BS. Sorry for the rant, but this isn't just about the gaming industry to me. The comments made by this spineless developer are inappropriate and I feel based in the cowardly fact knowing that Nintendo and many Japanese will not stand up for themselves. They still prescribe to the idea of not responding to BS in the belief defending themselves will only further grow the negative beast. They do not realize we live in a time where negativity rules with the masses and staying silent is an admission of guilt.

@webhead @DarkwingLz I get it. I think I get your point of view, because he is the guy in charge and taking responsibility is the main part of his job imo, but in a Japanese company that's most likely all he does. Act as a figure head for the locals, but doesn't likely partake in any important decisions. @Of_Folsense hilarious comment.

I see many people blaming Reggie for the poor line up of releases on the VC and other things like Xenoblade etc not coming to NA, but unless Nintendo runs their operation different than every other Japanese company I have dealt with at a management level, Reggie has no input into this and is nothing more than a figure head for the locals. I have no opinion on Reggie either way and don't care to have a personal relationship with him or his successor, but I do think people over estimate his input into these decisions.

@OptometristLime I can understand people being disappointed not to get a free gift and recognition, but I like it how Nintendo does not let them stop doing a good thing and I hope they continue to do things like this in the future. It's these little things that just add to their lore in my books. I had a problem with EA when I owned a SNES and EA wouldn't help me. I called Nintendo support and they got a high level manager at EA to call me and settle the issue. Can you believe it? I will never forget that and that was 20 years ago.

Hard to figure out how this is rewarded. I bought the Wii U on day 2, have 15 physical games, more which I downloaded and filled out all club nintendo surveys. This leads me to think it's somewhat random in nature deciding who gets this gift. Great job Nintendo on continuing to show you're one of the cool companies still. No company consistently appreciates their fans like the N.

Reviews are to guidance, not the word of law. I personally found the demo and app related to this title boring while I'm enjoying Pikmin 3 more than most games I've played, yet it gets a lower rating and less fan fare outside of Nintendo sites. To each their own.
