I personally won't bite if they do this. I kept up with the latest 3DS systems as they came out mostly because I played them so much. I still play the 3DS more than anything else these days. As for the Switch, I played mine a lot around tge time I got it, but these days I barely touch it unless I want an off screen for Netflix or if a game comes out that I especially want to play (which these days, isn't often). With that in mind, I can't see myself buying another Switch console at all when I don't use the one I have that much.

Been waiting for Gain Ground since Sega said it would be out in February. Great to see we're still getting it!

Secret of Mana at the moment, and on the off-chance I actually clear it before the weekend is out, I'll start Seiken Densetsu 3. Emulated with a translation patch, yes, but I also have an original cartridge, so it's all good.

Anyway, considering that, for lengthy backlog reasons, I haven't gotten this on Switch, I may try this one out first since it's a prequel. I mean if it's still available on mobile platforms when I get to it. Square from what I've seen has a tendency to "deactivate" certain mobile games.

Currently preparing for the final dungeon in Final Fantasy V (Advance), and after that game's done I'll start up Pokemon Trading Card Game GB.

More backlog fun with Final Fantasy V Advance

I would try this if they made other games available or compatible with the goggles, like Job Simulator. But they won't. It'll just be a slew of five minute proprietary mini-games you'll only play once.

I may check this out. The shelf space where I normally put my Switch games is full and there's no way I can currently find to put them in there neatly.

In all honesty, with the way the games industry has been going I've been seriously considering not getting any new consoles at all in the future and sticking with what I have now, so as it stands it's irrelevant to me what format the games themselves take.

I voted GX, but it doesn't matter in the end because it's obvious the only one Nintendo cares about is the SNES one.

Gonna finish up my pacifist run of Undertale on Switch (I'd previously left it on the "neutral" ending) before going through Deltarune. After that, I figure I'll settle into another playthrough of Final Fantasy Adventure, one of my favorite games on the Game Boy.

Deltarune for sure, but I SHOULD also have gotten Gain Ground by now. I feel lied to.

I'll be honest, I've finally reached a point where I'm jaded on Pokemon. I played the demo for Let's Go and the gameplay style was pretty fun so at this point the only Pokemon game I would probably be interested in would be like that kind of gameplay but based on Gen 2 or something.

I've been playing a lot of Link's Awakening lately, including some randomized runs, but I still have a goal of clearing Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door by the end of the weekend.

As much as I would like to see something come of this, I have a huge feeling this will turn out to be nothing.

Still waiting for that Sega Ages Gain Ground I was promised for this month.

I had played the beginning of this years ago and had wanted to play again for years, and after truly starting to focus on my backlog I finally got a chance to play it through about two years back on my Vita. Now, I still have yet to play through several FF games but this one is currently my favorite as far as the mainline non-MMOs go. Once my backlog is down a bit more at least I will gladly pick this up for the Switch.

I'm okay with this. As long as it still comes out and is as good as its predecessors, I'm not going to rush my life away waiting for its release and I'll play it whenever it's ready. My backlog is big enough as it is.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. I hope to clear that by next weekend.

The top 3 things for me include release dates for the Dragon Quest games and the Link's Awakening reveal. I was already planning to get DQ Builders 2 Day 1 as it was, but I'll probably do the same for DQXI (and get any limited edition they may have for it, like I did the PS4 version). And they're remaking my favorite game of all time! I honestly probably wouldn't have bothered watching if my friend hadn't told me about that.

I'll also pick up Deltarune and eventually FFIX, and I'm putting Astral Chain and Chocobo Mystery Dungeon on my radar. Couldn't give a toss about anything else.

I was sure Dragon Quest Builders 2 was going to be my GOTY this year. Then they go and remake my most favorite game of all time. Day 1, no question.

I would absolutely buy an official Western release on the off-chance that one were to surface, but at this point I own a physical copy of the game and have the translated ROM, so I'm past the point of caring either way.

They could just be, you know, renewing the copyright. Just saying.

At this point, I'm beginning to think that retailers are "accidentally" putting leaks up and taking them down on purpose. This is happening far too often.

I would be playing Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door were I not house-sitting for my parents, but in the meantime I've taken to knocking some smaller and quicker 3DS games off my backlog. Currently on Rayman 3D.

I don't mind. As long as I can still play it and know what's going on without having to tediously look up a translation guide, I'm good to go.

Mostly Illusion of Gaia; my goal is to clear that by the end of my short vacation. I'll likely also be getting into old-school Final Fantasy XI as my friend has been telling me about a cool free server that he's on.

Taking a break from Final Fantasy XIV, so I'll be focusing more on Secret of Evermore.

Have they actually announced this version is coming out in the west? I see a lot of comments like this is a sure thing, but as far as I've been able to tell Squeenix were disappointed in the western release of the PS4 version and they're usually quick to pull the plug on Dragon Quest over here.

Gonna try and get as much done in Final Fantasy XIV as I can before my sub runs out on Monday night (on the fence about taking a break, depends on how active my friends will be). Also digging into Secret of Evermore on SNES for my backlog.

I'll believe it when I see an official announcement.

Other than Super Mario RPG and Secret of Mana I have all the SNES games I really like on my 3DS already, and I have those two on other things, so honestly I couldn't care less.

Final Fantasy XIV and Yoshi's Island. If I end up finishing the latter, I'll try my hand at clearing Twinkle Star Sprites.

Wake me up when they announce the date for IX.

The 3DS is my favorite console. The Switch will never replace it for me. I can never see myself playing the Switch as much as or more than I play my 3DS. That said, I understand that focusing solely on the Switch is pretty much the way to go. Still, I'm not going to complain one bit if new 3DS games still come out.

All I'm going to say is that if Nintendo listened to petitions like this, there would be an international release of Mother 3 by now.

Not a lot as far as Nintendo's concerned; mostly Final Fantasy XIV and Earth Defense Force 5, and something I can beat quick (thinking Far Cry Blood Dragon) so I can round out my game clear count for the year at 50.

Can we have Kamiya himself in the game? He can curse other characters out, tell them to "ask [their] mom," and block them on Twitter.

@Ashunera84 Erdrick is a name bestowed upon the protagonist from DQ3. You can choose a male or female protagonist in that game.

For consistency, Toon Link should start taking damage after a short amount of time in the water.

Smash Bros in between Final Fantasy XIV

Dragon Quest was robbed. Monster Hunter World is a great game, no doubt, but it's not really an RPG.

I like how people are saying Snake's "excuse" was either the MGS remake on Gamecube or the MGS3 remake on 3DS, when the first Metal Gear game was on NES.

@Ryu_Niiyama I'm having fun with it. It's not super deep or anything, but I feel like after I beat the story and unlock all the characters that this will be fun to return to every so often.

I just got Kamen Rider Climax Scramble on Switch, so I'll be playing that in between Final Fantasy XIV
