I can’t believe NintendoLife are fuelling the Pokemon Center London hate like this! The staff have been doing nothing but working their butts off from day one, trying their hardest to keep stock on shelves, getting nothing but negativity from social media channels yet still serving as many people as they can with a smile. People are getting “turned away” as the entry queue has reached the visitor limit for the day which is appox 4000 people. The store and shipping center physically can’t accommodate any more people! It’s better to cut the queue and communicate this out rather than allow guest to join a queue with no hope of getting into the store. The demand was expected, which can be backed up by the daily stock deliveries however just not on the scale that has happened. No one would have predicted just how popular this store could have been. Not even Japanese Pokemon Centers get this level of crowds!
The most bizarre thing I've found in ACNL trees is a laptop (that still worked) and two satellites, not very festive but certainly the weirdest thing to fall from a tree...
It's the distribution that will get me. Will I be able to get them in a local store? Online? Club Nintendo? Other method? Previously buying Skylanderr toys taught me to seek them out in stores as the quality of paint job can vary from figure to figure. While it might be easier to order them online (assuming that is a method) there's nothing worse than having your figure arrive with diodgy painted eyes. Hopefully the quality wouldn't drop on these figures
I noticed this last night (as I'm a regular on the web version of Miiverse) and hated it. As soon as I realised what happened I changed my bookmarks to the new Activity Feed link. There needs to be an update banning the spamming of stamps IMO. I see a lot of posts that are just stamp spam, maybe just restrict posts to only three or four stamps??
~_~ As a life long female gamer I find this highly insulting, but that's just me. I have a niece (10) that plays Nintendo games, but is still on a DS Lite. Her favourite franchise is Pokemon and there seems to be zero of that there. So Nintendo UK are you telling me she's not ment to be playing Pokemon because she's a girl? She should only be playing "girly" pink games? Ugh this is 2014, not the 90s >_<
Great chat guys, and all my Yeahs for talking about W101! That game needs more love from Nintendo! It's simply the best game on the console and my most played game over Christmas!
The Gamepad is criminally underused in the majority of games IMO. The only games I've seen it been used to it's full extent is NintendoLand and The Wonderful 101. Even Pikmin 3 pretty much ignored the uniqueness of the controller. The Gamepad is THE UNIQUE selling point of the Wii U and every game should be using it to the full to help drive those sales!
@ricklongo well yes and no. Yes as once you beat the game you can unlock the character gallery which has all your collected heroes stats and costumes. No as you can't get their little ID card ever again.
I got X in a Tesco Extra late on the Friday night and Y arrived from Sainsbury's online on Monday. Just fine those that sold the game early like what happened in Canada. Personally I'm not too bothered about the game getting sold on the Friday as that's a) only one day and b) the typical day of releases in the UK. Two weeks early is just stupid and irresponsible IMO
The only reason I hunted down the leaks was the see the final evolution of the starters because this is the creature I will bond with the most, I need to know that I will like it's final evolution because there ain't no devolution and there may not be easy access to Dittos to breed the starter off for a long time...
Typo, "Multilingual Pokédex entries have been available in previous generations, including HeartGold & SoulSilver and Black & White, but were limited to certain Pokémon." Diamond and Pearl were the first games with bilingual Pokedex entries and these were the only versions that had it restricted to a few Pokemon, from Platnium version onwards all Pokemon had English, Japanese, Spanish, French, German and Italian languages with Korean added in HeartGold and SoulSilver onwards (as these were the first Pokemon games officially translated into Korean).
@Inev Re: Playing single player with a Pro Controller over Gamepad. YES, just select Pro Controller over Gamepad Controls in the settings. The Gamepad will just be used as a second screen akin to playing Pikmin 3 on any control method other than Gamepad. This game also supports Wii Pro Crontroller as well.
Eh? Why isn't The Wonderful 101 in this? That is the most amazing visuals on the Wii U. As much as I love Pikmin, I must admit that Pikmin 3 was a huge disappointment, the game was too short and those multiplayer modes feel tacked on. Oh if only it had the after-story of Pikmin 2 and the Piklopedia it would have been perfect...
In all fairness for W101 to shift that amount of copies in a few days is, well Wonderful. It is a new IP with little or no advertising campaign. It is the best Wii U game I've played a certainly one of the best games I've ever played.
Nintendo just stop, please. The people who watch the YouTube channel clearly know the products on offer and don't need this crap coming from some unfunny comedian. This is the kind of marketing that would work on my Mother if it was broadcast during Coronation Street, but on the YouTube channel? Time, waste of.
While this game is of no interest to me, I rather like this idea of preordering directly from the publisher and hope more publishers go this route of allowing the fans to vote on releasing a niche game.
This game has made one thing certain for me, I will never buy another Ubisoft game after this one. They love their Xbox360 and PS fanboys so much they can keep pleasing them for the few months left in their consoles, Ubisoft will never get another penny out of my Nintendo wallet again.
And once again Europe gets shafted. I buy my games and register my Star points and all I get is crummy items or fantastic items that sell out before I can even order them, that is of course assuming my Stars don't expire the night before =_=
@GamerJunkie clearly you've not played Rayman Legends with four/five players. Best fun on Wii U.
Seriously there is nothing "family/party" about W101, this is hardcore gaming madness at it's best. Having lucky enough to experience the demos of this game first hand I can recommend this over ever other upcoming game on Wii U - it's a must buy!
Okay, okay... Well of course there would have been a low install base for the Wii U back in Dec-Feb as the console was still new with no real killer app, but that isn't enough of a reason to complete crap on those that did buy the console with a nine month delay TWO WEEKS before the game's launch.
This title has been a personal rollercoaster of emotions for me (ranging from "yeah fantastic game" to "can't be arsed supporting this" and everything in between). One thing is for certain, this will be the final Ubisoft game I will ever buy. They can keep the PS360 fanboys happy all I care, but they will never get another penny from me after Rayman Legends.
I'd like to see Rayman, mostly on the grounds that he can actually fight and his cartoony style suits the Smash world. I really don't get why people want the likes of Sonic and Snake back, they have had their time to shine, time to the likes of Megaman to have their time in the spotlight.
3D Land was the one Mario game I didn't enjoy (besides Mario Pinball, but that is is different story). I hated the half bootied camera controls, either give the player full camera control or none, it really confused and irritated me. I'm all about trying before bashing but this title doesn't excite me, even with cat suits (and the adorable "Nyya" sound Mario makes). Let's not get started on the confusion this title has already caused by having 3D in the name and not being on the 3DS...
No wonder the Wii U is selling badly when it still doesn't have any killer exclusive games. What's the point in bringing in big name third parties when all they do is make an "Ubisoft Exclusive" of their big game?!
I've used it once or twice (since the Nintendo Zone app installed itself one day) and I have to say, it wasn't worth the effort of finding a compatable wi-fi zone. It was only full of links to download (at the time) the very limited eShop titles within a very slow browser page that wouldn't load any of the videos.
@Nintendude789 Wonderful 101 releases a week (23rd August) before Rayman Legends (30th August) in Europe, yet one is the later one is classified as a Summer release?
