Nintendo is continually tweaking and improving its Miiverse social network, with changes varying between the Wii U, 3DS and web browser versions. Sometimes the enhancements are major, though as it's a web-based platform Nintendo also applies minor adjustments, as they don't require any download or installation from users.
Today has brought a smaller update for the web browser version, which makes a minor change to the starting screen for those logging in but, more importantly, opens up more posts to those yet to set up a Nintendo Network ID. The post confirming the update is below.
There has been an update to the web version of Miiverse today.
1) When you sign in to the web version of Miiverse, you will now be taken to the Communities screen, rather than the activity feed.
2) Previously, users who were not signed in with their Nintendo Network ID could only see a digest of popular posts from each community, but they can now view all of the popular posts, as well as the comments on those posts.
Minor changes, but it's certainly a bonus that those without an ID can access more of the platform — more opportunities for everyone to see drawings of Nintendo characters.

I don't care about Miiverse anymore. I got permanently banned and still don't have a Wii U to make another NNID.
So what a nice touch about browser update for me.
I don't like this update, it's weird being brought to the communities when I go onto Miiverse instead of my activity feed.
I hate the change. It makes me want to start strangling all the stray cats hanging around my house.
Why do they not provide options in the settings where you wanna start in Miiverse? Can't be too hard.
Aside of that... meh.
I used to be on Miiverse all the time until I found this place.... I feel so ashamed!!! Lol
"more opportunities for everyone to see drawings of Nintendo characters."
This made me laugh, but actually there's no other point in looking into the web browser version of Miiverse instead of common forums.
But minor adjustments (and stability of course) are always welcome, aren't they?
Meh, the novelty of Miiverse already wore off for me, but cool for the people who still like it.
@Nintendude789 Why?
I noticed this last night (as I'm a regular on the web version of Miiverse) and hated it. As soon as I realised what happened I changed my bookmarks to the new Activity Feed link. There needs to be an update banning the spamming of stamps IMO. I see a lot of posts that are just stamp spam, maybe just restrict posts to only three or four stamps??
The update is annoying and a slight step backwards. I want my Activity Feed to be the first thing I see (and usually the only thing).
"1) When you sign in to the web version of Miiverse, you will now be taken to the Communities screen, rather than the activity feed."
Boo.

You could already be able to view the comments without a NNID for a while now, but being able to see all the popular posts without a NNID is new and welcome.
Overall, this update sucks.
I would like to call attention to the Wii U Image Share function that was added after this update...you can acsses it throught the wii u navigator in the bookmarks...im trying to tell this fr days, but nobody reads it hehe
well, the concept of Mii verse is cool but.. there really is no way to have a discussion on there any more. Like I get notifications for my own posts but I don't get them for comments on others posts.
Yeah, like others have stated previously, I much prefer the Activity Feed over the Communities tab. If I want to find a certain games community I will click it and find it. Otherwise, a quick browse of the Activity feed really gives Miiverse a twitter/facebook like feel that is very fitting, especially on the web interface.
@ikki5 Good point, although the notification count used to skyrocket before, i didn't mind the ability to continue conversations in other posts than my own.
I love Miiverse and use it quite often, although I don't really go to the site on the web version. I stick to accessing it through my Wii U or 3DS. I hate how slow and clunky it is on 3DS compared to Wii U, but, I'm just glad the 3DS has Miiverse now.
@Nintendude789 what in the world did you do that earned you a permanent ban?
@Nintendude789 I'd think the same way if I had been banned FOR EVAH.
Thats great and all but they need to address this 112-1007 error code that pops up everywhere when using the wii u browser im tired of reloading pages just hoping it fixes itself magically..
I find Miiverse more useful than most Wikis for games.
@Nintendude789 How do you get permanently banned from miiverse ?
