Re: Oh Snap, Now Rayman Legends Is Coming To PS Vita With Exclusive Content

Buzzthebatgirl

So...the "exclusive" launch game for the Wii U WHICH IS FINISHED AND READY TO SELL, is being delayed so it can have a multiplatform release on consoles that will BE OLD HAT AT CHRISTMAS and the 3DS is the only console that Legends is not announced for AND the "exclusive" Murfy levels get ported to the Vita. I am failing to see the Wii U love from Ubisoft...

I might as well hang around long enough and wait for an iOS or Virtual Boy port, BECAUSE YOU KNOW IT WILL HAPPEN!

Re: SEGA Promises New Gameplay, Enemies and Potentially "Friends" in Sonic Lost World

Buzzthebatgirl

Ten years ago this announcement would have gotten me all excited but bad Sonic games after bad Sonic game and a overly childish fan base have tarnished my love for the Blue Blur. I will still wear a t-shirt with his giant face on but don't expect me to actually want to purchase an average game only existing because of Sega wanting to be popular again. I still can't get over how fans are once again falling for the Sonic Cycle all over again...

Re: Platinum's Inaba: Wonderful 101 Is So Much Fun You'll "Wear Out Your GamePad"

Buzzthebatgirl

@MadAdam81 you mean like Pokemon games ? I've played an awful amount of those in my time.

I do find that dropping full price (£40-50) on a new game a very big leap of faith. I have burnt in the past by buying a new game only to realise it was utter rubbish/not my thing. In my own experience RPGs rarely fail at being value for money, when was the last time anyone finished on of those in a weekend?

I am absolutly certain TW101 will be heaps of fun - come on that art style and character design is fantastic, I am so weary if buying it at full price if I will have completed it within a day or two. I guess I'll have to sit and wait for more news on it, but this article is already convincing me to move my funds for this game over to another.

Re: Nintendo: 3DS eShop And App Store Comparison Is "Quality" Versus "Quantity"

Buzzthebatgirl

As a fellow 3DS and App Store user I can add the following views:

Yes the App Store is littered with crap games and it can often be difficult to find a gem in the trash, but on the flip side there are many fantastic games that offer a lengthy demo/section of the game for free. When games are purchased they are often quite cheap (ignoring farming games and their in-app purchases).

The 3DS eShop is (I find) irritatingly slow to navigate, constantly updates the landing page, and reshuffles categories regularly. I do enjoy the demos that are offered, but £40 for a full game download? And that same download is tied to one console? I know I'm getting a full game but no.

Re: The Pokémon Company Describes 2013 as a "Key Year" for the Franchise

Buzzthebatgirl

You missed this:"The firm also says it has ‘cleared the decks’ in terms of licensing, and Tomy International has been brought onboard to ensure that everyone around the world gets the same toys as the ones out in Japan."
When I start seeing Pokedolls and nonkiddie Pokemon clothes available in Europe I'll believe what TPCi has to say. Their current offering of "Official Pokemon Magazine" is a disgrace to Pokemon fans.

Re: New eShop Game Cards Surface in Japan

Buzzthebatgirl

Heck yeah, I saw loads of download cards when I was in Japan recently (I would upload a pic but it would kill my data allowance for the month). These things would be way handier solution to "buying" a digital game than with the current system of: add some money to account, buy game, be left with 6p/10pts on your account for the end of time.

Re: UK Retailer GAME to Sell Tablet Devices

Buzzthebatgirl

Dunno about other GAME stores but I've been in a few that have been looking for tablets for trade ins and already have stands with tablets for demo play. They even have tablet cases on some stands. I guess tablet games potentially reach a wider market than console games ever can.

Re: Talking Point: The Download or Disc Dilemma

Buzzthebatgirl

So far I've only downloaded demos on 3DS and Wii U and purchased the odd eShop exclusive game. Top titles on the eShop are horribly overpriced on release week and only drop in price when all general interest is dead (I'm looking at you OOT, I bought you on release day- grr).

I only go truly digital for iOS games for the simple reason that I can share my purchases between my two iThings and the games are generally cheaper than the physical versions (when they exist).

Point in hand Angry Birds Trilogy costs almost £40 for the 3DS game but less than £10 (with change) on iOS/android and has free demos. Not forgetting (one of my new favourite games) Ghost Trick costs £20 odd to buy on DS but only £8 on iOS AND has extra features and free "try before you buy".

I love collecting physical games but it's all about making the money go further these days.

Re: UK Retailers Call For Wii U Price Cut And Fresh Approach From Nintendo

Buzzthebatgirl

Games, games, games and exclusive games. This is what the Wii U needs, not Shovelware, ports of old Ps360 games, and "exclusives" getting delayed and ported.

The launch line up was a bit meh with only a few stand out titles, and the last big exclusive title (Ninja Gaiden) got ported with better features?! WTF? Rayman is now dead in the water and well, the next few games worth buying come out in late March/April. Who the heck releases a console and doesn't keep the games flowing?

Re: Review: Zen Pinball 2 (Wii U eShop)

Buzzthebatgirl

I downloaded this, then tried to figure out how to buy the Plants Vs Zombies table (selected it and Pressed A) and the screen kept reloading followed by my Wii U crashing. Why couldn't this be made more intuitive?
