Due to the perils of localisation Yo-Kai Watch 2: Bony Spirits & Fleshy Souls is only now approaching its EU release, due in the region on 7th April. Level 5 - and to a degree Nintendo - plan to give the sequel and IP an extra push with a mobile release the week before.
Yo-Kai Watch Wibble Wobble is heading to European phones and tablets on 30th March - the free-to-start game (released last year in Japan and North America) provides a simplistic tie-in where you battle and collect Yo-Kai.
Level 5 COO Yukari Hayakawa has been quoted as saying the following.
We're super excited to bring this fully localized version of Yo-Kai Watch Wibble Wobble to Europe and Russia -- and to be able to share the Yo-kai story with the world at large.
2017 is set to be a great year for Yo-Kai Watch for Europe and Russia, as we look forward to the launch of Yo-Kai Watch Wibble Wobble, as well as as well as Yo-Kai Watch 2: Bony Spirits and Yo-Kai Watch 2: Fleshy Souls for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems on April 7th. The app has already been rated 4.5 out of 5 stars in Japan, and has amassed more than 10 million players worldwide to date. With such fun characters and entertaining gameplay, we're confident that the localized European version will be a big hit as well.
Are any of you Europeans eagerly awaiting the 3DS sequel, and perhaps tempted to give the mobile game a try? Let us know in the comments.

Ow...
Another smartphone games from Level 5 ?
Looks pants to me, but whatever floats your boat I guess!
Yawn.
Wake me up when we get more news on ARMS.
More free to play crap.
@TruenoGT Agreed, it's not a bad game.
In fact, despite being Free-to-play the entire economy is broken in your favor. Just get a number of friends registered and your good to go.
This is a RPG game? really??? I think not
About blooming time we get a European release for this!
My mind immediately went to Bo' Selecta and Jonathan Ross, when I saw 'Wibble Wobble', lol.
This is one of the only mobile games I would consider good. HONESTLY, TRY IT OUT GUYS. I've poured dozens of hours into it and never spent a dime. In fact, it's what got me into Yo-Kai Watch in the first place.
You basically have to drag the little wib-wobs together to make bigger ones, and then pop them to attack and also power up your Yo-Kai. When a Yo-Kai is fully powered, it can unleash its special attack, which deals either damage, a buff, a de-buff, or healing. It ends up being a great challenge to power-up your characters and use them at the right time during a battle.
Plus, it's free-to-play, so WHY NOT TRY IT.
I wonder if they're going to repeat any events...in a game like that, there has to be limited time-only Yokai. hopefully it's Android, still sore that Puzzle & Dragons is apparently iOS (and maybe Amazon kindle only?) im assuming it's some sort of US highest buyer thing. (where the US at least gets Android releases)
So it's a factory full of Yokai based beans that you collect by putting them in a row? That's certainly one Mean Bean Factory there. Looks fun, but I'd rather the Yokai Island app that lets you scan the toy medals is made accessible to more phones... have a brother than loved Yokai Watch & still has no access to the QR Scanner months on from the launch of the toys.
it's pretty fun. buy you might just as well play the japanese version which has been getting a lot more special events than the US version.
Have it since I'm in US, not that fun..
Love this game though I dont play it all that often these days. I've put a lot of hours in and not spent a cent. For a mobile phone game I'd give it 5/5 rubber chickens.
