Not much to speculate on for now. I assume it's set after the Lost Future, much as I like to imagine the mystery at the end of that game left open. Luke isn't much older in the art, though.

Woo! I love this game! I'll get the physical version though.

I love the original! A pity this version is so naff, those screenshots look horrendous. They should've got The Chinese Room to make it, that could've been much more interesting visually and for gameplay.

@RubyCarbuncle Well they wouldn't keep that title this time, that wouldn't make sense. Like how Lylat Wars was renamed Star Fox 64 3D everywhere.

The Metroid Prime 3 cliff-hanger was probably just made up for fun, like Grunty mentioning Banjo-Threeie or the ending to Pikmin hinting at other colours. I doubt they will follow on but it doesn't really matter, I just want a good 3D exploratory game like the first three.

I assume it will basically be like BotW but in another world (possibly including sections from that game, too), with more floating dungeons and shrines. By now, last time, there'd be a whole E3 dedicated to the game - that there has been far less revealed about this game makes me wonder how different it really will be. Still, hopefully after this they make one more like the previous 3D games.

I guess it will have the same basic systems since it seems so similar a sequel.

I've played the Layton games a lot over and over. I really like the second one the most, Pandora's Box. Lost Future is excellent and cinematic. Fourth was rather great, then the last two weren't as good at all, the 3DS style and writing and atmosphere all lost. Playing the Live London theme from 3 in Azran Legacy was so unfitting, it was atrocious, even with such a dazzling theme for that part. I'm fine if the series never continues, it had six games, none of them really bad, it told a story, it ended on a mystery as it should have. Oh, and there's a seventh game, right, never played it and based on the trends the series was trekking through, it wouldn't have kept the charm from the original ones I liked.

It's good, certainly, as I now ascertain.

Silent Hills was cancelled, it's a pity. I doubt more will be good like 1 - 4.

They shouldn't show footage of something like this till it's nearly finished or people will think they know how great the game is from just this footage. Much better to wait till a game is almost complete before revealing it.

I have always called them simply "handhelds", and consoles "consoles". Perhaps it would be more consoling were I to extend the name of the portable systems but I don't want to be too hand-holding in my patronising.

3DSs are handhelds, not consoles.

The use of "Nintendo" there does not entirely contradict the idea to not use "Nintendo" as a badly, for "Nintendo" there does not refer to a concrete noun but an abstract noun, the company itself, seemingly.

I'd like to see Metroid Prime 4 but it probably won't come out till next year.

I agree, Double Dash is the best Mario Kart game ever!!
