Still waiting for more information, likely reviews, before I even think to try this. And even then I know already it's not going to change the stale formula, so it'll likely be a pass from me.

Happy for those who haven't bothered to play it on the other platforms, personally will be skipping. I've had my fill of Persona 5.

I'd like to get P4 and P3 instead, since those are not as easy to play nowadays (well, 4 is on Steam now).

Meguro's music is phenomenal, so having him compose for something from Nintendo would be spot on.

I can totally see him put out a soundtrack worth listening to for Fire Emblem. The music of that series has always been rather weak IMO.

It looks like Mario, but if done by the FMV team instead of using the in game model if Nintendo actually did FMVs in the style of Square games of the past (and present).

I see nothing wrong with it. Even if I can't get the image of Mario doing a dance off with Bowser just like Star-Lord did with Ronan in Guardians of the Galaxy.

The return of Dalamadur would be just the right push for me to consider the expansion, personally. Loved that thing in MH4.

I'd ask who pays for stuff in Pokemon Go, but I know they exist. Like those who pay for JPEGs in FE Heroes.

I'll definitely have to pick it up for PS5 at some point because I loved a Let's Play I saw of this.

Shame this never got off the ground. But outside a fun take on a strategy game with the Zelda license, Nintendo probably thought there weren't "enough new ideas" to do the project. They've always been weird about what is greenlit.

Keeping in mind this was right around when the first Fire Emblem was released in the West. The genre was unproven in Nintendo's eyes outside whatever sales numbers were for Advance Wars. Pitched today, this might have a better shot at becoming a reality.

Makes you appreciate how many ideas are left on the cutting room floor.

Some day I'll play my (still sealed) copy of the game that I bought three years ago now for PS4.

I'm actually surprised it hasn't gotten a port to Switch yet.

It's also a bit of a bummer it wasn't included in the collection with the GBA Castlevania games, since it would have been a great opportunity to bundle in another S tier entry.

While I would probably never go back to it, I confess I did play and beat the game like... three? Four times? They were darker days, when I had more time to play and less variety.

The game was Fire Emblem Awakening. One of the worst FE games ever, like Fates to follow it. I'm thankful I have since gotten rid of it so I never feel tempted to play that trash again.

I'll definitely give this one a shot later on. When it goes on sale for 50% off or more.

The Mario movie could turn out to look like this, like some modern day version of the cheesy 90s film, and I'd be totally on board with it.

I'm in the small camp that likes the 90s film. It's terrible, but in all the right ways.

How were they treated poorly?

They broke the terms of their NDA publicly, which is reason enough to be sacked. Them overstepping their bounds and asking a question of the boss of the company that contracted them about a sensitive subject is something else entirely, and they've stated it's their belief that was the reason for their termination. Which I feel would be hard to prove.

Being fired for breach of contract is not being treated poorly. It's a fair, expected and reasonable outcome for a poorly made decision.

People need to understand that this idea or mentality that leniency should always be preferred is simply not the way the world works. Especially not in terms of business. Clear cut, oftentimes strict rules and enforcement are the standard.

Your place of employment, or in this case, the company that has contracted your employer, is NOT your friend.

A lot of subpar level design, a lackluster amount of content, a final level is that rather abysmal...

I could go on, but it's ultimately a subjective discussion, and not one I plan to debate this morning.

While I do feel Sunshine was the weakest of the main line Mario titles because it was different, it's also one of the more interesting ones to revisit because of how different it is.

I really want that DQ3 remake some time soon, Square.

The pixel remasters, while awesome when inevitably ported, are lower tier priority for me. But good on them for finally getting their production in a nice flow.

I like the idea of the lockers, and I can't wait to gather more items to decorate mine with. I've just not had the opportunity to play much since launch.

But once I get into the groove, I hope to make mine look really nice. Nothing worth writing home about or with the intent to make you laugh, like all these Moai heads.

Cute as the designs are on the cards, why pay a premium for something that will never be seen?

I'd have been much more interested if they'd ported/remastered Abyss instead. Maybe that'll follow?

Not a fan of the "digital deluxe" nonsense when they'll be paywalling certain FF songs, since I care nothing for any of the DLC tracks they mentioned.

I'll keep an eye out for this one.

However, big point for using that classic Enix font, I recognize those letters anywhere after a lifetime of playing and replaying Illusion of Gaia.

Remember when the team villains were people using Pokemon for evil and part of the fantasy came from kids thwarting their nefarious deeds through the power of friendship and teamwork with their mons? It was juvenile, but inspiring in a way.

Somewhere along the way they became absolute jokes, and any sense of tension from the teams evaporated. Shame.

One other issue I did run into: the game crashed. A lot.

I never bothered to complain about it because I figured it could also be a Switch hardware issue, given my device has seen better days, but I found that to be the most annoying. Lost at least a few hours worth of progress over the near dozen times it crashed on me, thanks to infrequent auto-saves.

Thankfully never encountered any of these issues in my 120 hour run of the game.

I'm looking forward to seeing what else follows with the DLC, see if it'll be worth the investment. I intend to go back to the game for a second run, but maybe not until that DLC drops.

However, if there's a QoL improvement I'd kill for, it's area names on the map! Xeno1 had this, while strangely enough 2 or 3 didn't. Kinda hard to locate somewhere if all I know is the name of the region or greater area, and not the sub-area within.

Personally, as the game is now, it's my GOTY 2022.

Looks cute, I'll probably wait for a sale, but if the reviews are strong, it'll get added to the pile.

I think I make it about 20 hours in before I ultimately give up or something else draws my attention away.

I'd like to think some day I'll have a chance to finish it. Just need to wait for the next genuine lull in gaming releases that interest me before I commit to it.

Big props for remembering the existence of Lufia 2. It's one of my favorite RPGs of the 4th Gen, despite never having seen the game through to completion.

Golden Sun, as someone else pointed out, would be wonderful if remade in HD-2D, or at all, really.

I disagree on the Oracle games; I'm still hopeful that Nintendo and Grezzo will remake those in the Link's Awakening Switch style.

I love the chaotic nature of the tri-color. Not sure I like it better than standard turf war, but it certainly spices things up in a nice way.

Don't cheat. It's a kids' shooting game with squids and ink.

Given my limited time and personal obligations I generally only give games or series a single chance to win me over. Suikoden didn't, so I won't ever spend more money to give another game in the series a chance at this point.

I'd have to see a lot more and reviews post-launch. I know this is inspired by Suikoden, so a lot of hype is behind it for that reason.

Except I thought Suikoden (the first one) was very bland and nothing noteworthy, so outside a new RPG, I don't feel overly thrilled for this one.

So a more refined take on the ideas from Splatoon.

That's great, if all you wanted was a refreshed version of Splatoon.

Pay for early access to a F2P game... all microtransactions are purely "cosmetic"... in a life sim game where the only point is to have the cosmetically nicest town or home or what have you.

The inclusion of Metal Sonic is cool, hope this turns out true. One of these days I'll watch Sonic 2.

Just because there's been no direct use of specific pronouns does not mean what they think it means. Could simply be oversight, and is a fan theory unless confirmed by Nintendo.

I'm excited to get back into the splat action. I'm looking forward to cutting the volume on the game and playing an audiobook or podcast while playing for an hour or so a day.

Looks interesting, but also feels like it might play better on PC than Switch.

I'll keep an eye out.

Haven't touched the game in years, but I'll take whatever they give for whatever rank I was in Splatoon 2. The tickets or whatever to get any weapon regardless of level is awesome; I'll shoot straight for the spray can gun I always use.

Splatoon fans will enjoy.
Non-fans will probably not be convinced.
