Re: It’s Official: The Switch Online Service Has Surpassed 10 Million Subscribers

@Varelius
Yes. And you had to pay extra for it because
1: the wifi chip in the switch is horrible
2: because the dongle is not included.

So you can pretend I'm the ignorant one. Pretend to be the informed, adult person. But in the end you bought a product that was inherently ever so slightly faulty, so you had to spend extra. You had to use your own money to make your switch perform the way it should out of the box. I didn't need to do that on ps3, ps4, ps4pro or psvita. I didn't even have to do that on Wii U.
Is that how the internet works?
Everything works perfectly except Switch = internet broken? Is that it?

Bet you bought the official adapter too, am I right?

@Varelius
Listen up. I'll repeat myself. I get a stable connection on ALL devices. Phones, ps4, printer, laptop, tv. NOT on switch. I don't care how the internet works. And we all know the Switch is supposed to use the wifi connection for everything. Otherwise they would have built in a lan port. The Switch has a really bad wifi chip, and we're ment to live with it. And that is simply a fact you'll have to deal with, no matter how the internet works.

Re: My Friend Pedro Is Devolver Digital's "Biggest Launch To Date" On Nintendo Switch

BrettAwesome

@Indielink
I agree 100%. But when Devolver, being the publisher,goes on stage with a clear message against micro transactions and releasing unfinished games, it seems quite hypocritical that they themselves forced a game out before it was properly finished. HDR was canned in that game for the same reasons. They even went as far as "pushing the pro button" so the game can't even make use of boost mode.

Re: My Friend Pedro Is Devolver Digital's "Biggest Launch To Date" On Nintendo Switch

Fool me once...
After their ridiculous and self righteous E3 presentation back in 2017 I believe, they wanted to shame greedy companies who put out overpriced games before they are ready. What happens next? They are the publisher behind Shadow Warrior 2, a game who's devs praised the ps4 pro for its power. Game comes out. No pro support. Why? Time constraints. Nice one, Devolver. I have had a hard time forgiving them for that

Re: Talking Point: Does The Nintendo Switch Game Voucher Programme Offer Value For Money?

BrettAwesome

If you don't already have an online subscription, I think it's a very poor deal. In that case the subscription eats up whatever you save on the games themselves. And I still can't think of a single reason why I would personally want to pay for an online membership. I think it's ridiculous that you can't move saves or game data between the internal storage and an sd card, though I bet it's to force people to pay up. I love my Switch, but I think Nintendo's online service is a greedy money grab

Re: EB Games Canada Listing Suggests Darksiders II Is Making A Comeback

BrettAwesome

Yes! I love Darskiders 2. The chance to play it on the go means I have to double dip yet another game I already own on WiiU...and Ps4. But I don't mind. I never paid full price on either machine, and I love this game. I used to be a PC gamer way back. I lost interest around 2008, and didn't pick up gaming again until 2014. This was one of the very first games I played. It was an early summer morning, the sun was shining through our coloured hippie curtains, and I felt great. This game just sucked me in from the get go. Oh the fond memories...

Re: Video: Why You Should Be Pleased The Development Of Metroid Prime 4 Has Been Restarted

@fafonio
Yeah...I was just really looking forward to a more...say...contemporary AAA exclusive that caters a bit more to a wider audience. Now that Zelda, Mario and Mario Kart is out of the way, all of a sudden there's just not that much left, is there? Bayonetta with no release window. Saints Row with...nothing at all... I mean, if you're not into all the overly cartoony stuff, there's not much left

Re: Video: Why You Should Be Pleased The Development Of Metroid Prime 4 Has Been Restarted

BrettAwesome

Yes. With all the great action games releasing on the platform, what difference does ONE less do? .. .unless you're not into Pokemon and all that Fisher Price stuff. Then there's only Bayonetta 3 and Mortal Kombat. No great open world's, no great tech showcases. I feel like they've reached a point where they drip feed us overpriced indies and 3rd party games, like the Switch is on life support. But Metroid Prime 4 was a true star. A chance to see a fps exclusive to the Switch. A true chance to see the machine shine once more. And now? Now there's a sad wasteland of 8-bit graphics and a slew of anime stuff aimed at children and virgins...

Re: CIRCLE Entertainment And Flyhigh Works Host Huge Festive Sale, 18 Switch Games Discounted

BrettAwesome

Yeah...thanks Nintendo. Thanks you for not diacounting Bayonetta even ONCE. Thanks for letting me but the same games twice at full price becsuse you make one game every second year.
Thanks for your grotesque lack of real productivity. Now we won't have another big hitter on our hands until Christmas 2019 because you have to milk Smash. Great time to be a Nintendo fan. I just hope we hear anything about bayo 3 and MP4 soon

Re: Video: Huawei Claim their Phone is Better than Nintendo Switch

BrettAwesome

It might have a stronger cpu and gpu. But with passive cooling only, it'll resort to thermal trotteling in a matter of seconds. Phones are designed to use all that power in very short bursts. But then again: If it's built on a 7nm process it might actually be doable, even with passive cooling. After all, the Switch innards are ageing already. It's 3 years old and built on a 20nm process
