Re: The Pokémon Unite Presentation Has Already Been Disliked 150,000 Times

@westman98 first off, don't tell me what I or anyone else for that matter should or shouldn't do. It's not respectfull. Second, I'm tslking about marketing strategy here. There are a lot of non die-hard fans, who won't insta buy pokemon games. Those are the people they want to attract through their announcement. And they got hyped, they got dissapointent. It will cost them customers, and hence money. It' bad marketing. Period. And you can tell everyone what they should expect if they did research and know how development works en are knowledgeable of the works of tencent. I shouldn't have to do aaaaallll that work to watch a youtube clip. Thnq for your opinion, I've taken note of it, but marketing wise, this is a disaster. And that's showing, as you can see.

@Noisy_neighbour isn't that game out yet? My bad. I just know the blizz con boo conference from 2 years ago, I thought it was gonna release soon after (not a mobile gamer, so my interest stopped there). But maybe it was good thing for them to wait, now that everyone knows 4 is coming, people will be way more accepting and happy about Immortal. If the pokemon company is smart, they wait this one out as well and don't release unite two weeks from now, but after they announce an actual big announcement.

Re: The Pokémon Unite Presentation Has Already Been Disliked 150,000 Times

Barbara001

@westman98 no, they said, big announcement. Bigger then Pokemon Snap. And why couldn't there be a remake, there are gallons of companies working on different projects at once. You can't tell me that THE ENTIRE GAME FREAK COMPANY is working on just those two silly expansions. And even if it's on the long run, Ys IX was announced for 2021. Do you know when BOTW 2 will releas? Games are announced way before their release date (FF7 REMAKE anyone). So my expactations shouldn't have been set accordingly.

There were no expectations before they said, big announcement. Then there was no big announcement. This is just bad marketing. And it's showing. Marketing is not about letting people think on their own. Actually, the idea of marketing is the opposite. So no, this is just their bad marketing, not my faulty expectations. And it's showing in the results of said marketing with the abbundance of dislikes. It's the double ammount of the likes. They killed the project with bad marketing. Like I said, that happened before. Or do you know many people playing Diablo Immortal???

What else would they think? They announce a big project and it's a free to start mobile game! Remember when Blizzard did this on blizzcon and annouced some mobile game? People are going to be dissapointed and you start your press off the wrong way this way. It's federation force all over again. Start with the announcement, we're getting you this or that pokemon game, then you show off this game, we will like it. Don't say, yeah here's a game in your favourite franchise you didn't ask for, we wont tell you if other games are coming, but here, take this game which has nothing to do with the main plotline. Sorey, this strategy has blown up in the faces of other companies, they should have seen this coming.

Re: Square Enix Officially Confirms Kingdom Hearts: Melody Of Memory For The West

Barbara001

@DrJoson I loved theatrythm, but I got that, cause the 3ds couldn't pull of FFX, you needed a console for the actual games. The 3ds wasnt a console. But they are treating the switch like a handheld here, while it could so easily play at least the remixes. I mean, they are hd PS2 games. It feels like not being taken seriously, like the big consoles get the actual games, we get the, sort of looks like it game. I mean the remixes are free for the xbox gamepass and we're not even getting the option to buy the games? That's just mean. They know we want the Kingdom Hearts games, but they just won't give it. That we're not getting 3, I can understand, but not even the remixes? We get a rythm game? It just.. Makes me really sad, you know.

@Giygas_95 yeah, I also grew up with RPG's but had no playstation in that era, so missed that classic, but the love never died. I still love the grinding and the japanese style, but also come to enjoy the faster adventure rpg's like kingdoms of amalur and Fable (and therefor the Witcher). And sadly for me I s*ck at first person shooters, so those games are lost on me. Tried playing wolfenstine 2, investigated every nook and cranny but died every 10 seconds 😂. I just don't get first person controls on a console controller... To many buttons I have to press and control at once 😋.

@Jooles_95 I still need to start on Three Houses, that's how far behind I am already hahaha. But there are so many fun games. But I still hope Metroid Prime Trilogy is coming soon (need to play those games again), would love for BotW 2 to come out soon and O'm really hoping there is going to be a Lufia sequel, prequel, remake or Ys 9 gets a switch release, but those things are never going to happen I guess...

@Giygas_95 THNQ! It's not just me then! Currently playing:
Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth (55 hours in, the game is huge)
The Witcher 3
The Messenger
Castlevania Bloodline
Sword Art Online HR
Pillars of Eternity
Rayman Legends (alsmost complete)
Pokemon Shield
Darksiders 2
Luigi's Mansion 3
Grandia 1 (not even mentioning 2)
Romancing Saga 3
Zelda Links Awakening
Final Fantasy VII
Final Fantasy VIII
Final Fantasy X

And then I still have to play Saints Row 3d, Disgaea 1, Cat Quest 2 (loved the first one), Mario Rabbids, Star Ocean R and the list goes ON!!! Sometimes I feel like a kid in a candystore, only this time I HAVE THE MONEY OF AN ADULT. MOEHAHHAA. 😁😁😁

Re: Talking Point: How Often Do You Make The 'Switch Sacrifice'?

Barbara001

Owned a Ps4 Pro and an Xbox One, had the free games memberships (ps plus and Gamepass), still bought the games on switch, cause well, it just feels better and nicer and... Can't explain it. Sold both consoles (ps4 and xbox) cause I barely touched them and just wanted to play on my switch. 😳

Re: Pokémon Direct To Air Thursday, 9th January

Barbara001

@Harmonie sorry, in that case I came of wrong, I didn't mean they had to release in that way at all, I just predicted that was what they were going to do (I read that prediction in an article somewhere, I believe on this site), because the let's go franchise is easy to make, it earns them a lot of money, and the rest of the team can work on a new entry in or a new generation (which, according to what I read, releases once every 2 years). So following that logic, I predicted they would indeed follow that model. I never said they should do it in that way, personally, I think they should take longer for a new entry and focus less on remaking games (I mean, I played Blue, Yellow, Silver (which has the original region as extra), FireRed, SoulSilver (same story) and Pokemon Lets Go Eevee, enough is enough). Sorry if it came of as opinionated at all, my opinion does not in any way resemble the way that it could be read. I just thought (because of the article, once again, don't know where I read it) it would make sense from an economic standpoint to give people some let's go while they're waiting for a new full entry (which, perhaps, could be a Shining Pearl/Glimmering Diamond (just made up those titles and I LOVE THEM, instabuy)).
So sorry I came off wrong, seems we actually agree with one another 😊😊😊.

Re: Pokémon Direct To Air Thursday, 9th January

Barbara001

@Harmonie wow, you are very serious about this. I was just trying to be friendly. First oFf, let's go was, for all intents and purposes, a remake, so a lets go diamond and pearl would be a remake. Second of all, a lot of people hated on sword and shield, think Trump is a great chap and believe climate change is a lie. Also, a lot of people believe the earth is flat. I don't care a lot about the opinion of 'a lot of people'. I was just talking about how it would make ME happy to play a new let's go game. You could have said, well, it's not my cup of tea, but some people like you can enjoy it, so that would be nice for you. But nooo, you just state your own disappointment and dismay and spew your own negativity and back it up with a statement about 'a lot of people agree with me'. I wish the world would be a bit nicer, but people like you keep proving when it comes to childrens games there are a lot of snobbistic, egotistical, dark people who just care about their own wishes and demands and getting their way or else, not being able to be happy for another person. (see, two can play the serious game, I still hope you get to enjoy a nice Diamond and Pearl remake.)

Re: Pokémon Direct To Air Thursday, 9th January

Barbara001

@Harmonie I reeaaaallly hope it's a new let's go, I really liked Let's go Eevee (so much nostalgia, I played the original blue and yellow back in the day) and it was let's go 2018, sword/shield 2019, so now a new let's go in 2020 and the new generation in 2021. But maybe it's let's go diamond and pearl, then we both kinda get what we want 😊

Re: Of Course Pokémon Sword And Shield Is Getting Review-Bombed

Barbara001

@Burning_Bacon I read on Eurogamer that they left out the "dungeon" parts and there are less trainers. Now for me that's a plus, because I loaaaaaathed those dungeons and trainers. I always treid to avoid them or jsut stopped playing for weeks because I had landed in another dark dungeon full of random encounters and trainers and very many floors. So for me, being more "bare bones", not having to rough through an SS Anne again is a total plus. I've been playing since pokemon Blue (yep, that old) and the dungeons and overload on trainers was always the thing that annoyed me the most about pokemon games. So I'm quite happy about those changes. Just saying that in pleasing some (like me), you displease others and in displeasing some, your pleasing others (like me) 😊.

Re: Of Course Pokémon Sword And Shield Is Getting Review-Bombed

Barbara001

@Mr_Muscle I did, did you read mine? You say, because I give them money, and I give them money, they should work for that money and do as I say. I said, no you want a service, if you like a service, you can pay for that service and have to make due as to what they say. It's all about who gets the final say. Sooooo now that we're clear on that and I do hope you read this comment properly this time, will you respond to it?

Re: Of Course Pokémon Sword And Shield Is Getting Review-Bombed

Barbara001

@SuperEndriu so not into whipping, but you are into backlashing...... Hahahaha 😉😊❤️. I get your point, and I agree with your version, but I wouldn't say backlash but would say critique. Backlash still sounds a bit... Lashing. But critique is not the outrage and weirdness that's happening now, where people apparently are harassing people who give good reviews. Critique, yes, outrage, no.
