@Franklin @UltimateOtaku91 You can play DS games on a 3DS just like you can't play GBC games on a GB. Hardware difference may not seem like a lot TODAY but back then playing games with colour was the next big thing. It's basically a cheat Nintendo is using to add some prestige to its first handheld imo. They are 9 years apart and the leap from 4th to 5th gen.

Game boy sales is wrong actually... Its combined with game boy colour which came out a decade later. That's like combining ds with 3ds and calling it one console

Played every pokemon md and I consider explorers of time/darkness to be among the best jrpgs I ever played. Its been a decade but I still remember parts of the story like the betrayal of dusknoir, the manipulation of primal Dialga, the world dying and time stops and the struggle of the mc to understand who they are.

Esports players are the influencers of gaming and the voice of gamers. I've been watching smash on evo every year as it is the biggest smash tournament. Remember Microsoft allowed banjo to be in smash Square allowed cloud (100% Sony character) to be in smash but now it does not allow smash to be in evo. And for what? Because now Sony owns it how would that do smash or Nintendo any harm?..

@SwitchForce the only soulless thing here is taking smash away from evo it's like taking away a part of smash itself. If you don't know the smash scene don't act like you do. This news is only disappointing to the players and I don't care how corporations may benefit or not from this exclusion. Don't forget EVO is the biggest fighting game stage.

The fact that sony bought evo should mean NOTHING. Many of the best smash moments were born in that tournament. It was the award above all for smash players and Evo absolutely supported its legacy 100%

I played 3ds during breaks in the army and there are A LOT of breaks and wasted hours in the army. Seriously I've seen people go mad because they didn't know what to do and slept all day except the daily 5 hour exercises. Real army life is defined by inactivity

Prime 4 is the zelda botw of this gen. Announced at the beginning of the switch and will arrive towards the end.

Nintendo will find a way to bring back older games in the future but the worst part of this is some people who will want to play these retro games in the future will never get to download some great dlcs for games like fire emblem fates or Xenoblade x

I'm just glad I'm back with nintendo and this was actually my 1st direct since 2018 Mario strikers was the game of the direct for me it was a nice surprise.

Most excited for bayo3 and the next zelda. Hoping to see at least one of these get a revival Pikmin, Donkey kong or golden sun

bayo 3 is the no.1 reason I bought a switch last year. bayo 2 was my favourite wii u game I must've replayed that at least 6 times since 2014. It's hard to find a good and challenging hack and slash game that's not a button masher (any warriors) or badly designed/ stupidly hard (ninja gaiden z)

Yeah, I actually traded from FireRed to emerald using that cable. After that, I migrated the best pokemon from GBA to ds using that ds migration feature. After that, I used 3ds pokemon bank to bring my favorite GBA and ds pokemon to the next regions. So my Kanto FireRed pokemon are now in Alola thanks to that I haven't played a main pokemon game since ultra sun.

@Rayquaza2510 switch came out 5 months after ps4 pro it's a 8 gen to me. It's like a rebranded wii u or at least what the wii u should've been.

Square enix and capcom next. Wouldn't be surprised if they bought devolver as well as they already own part of them. Sony definitely has the funds to buy these no worries. As for bungie it just makes sense as most of the destiny fanbase is on playstation.

WW may not be my favourite zelda but that art style is ageless and the HD edition could be ported to switch and still look as great as any other new game.

Kirby's epic yarn on wii was one of my favourite childhood games and I haven't played a kirby game since triple deluxe so I have to play this. Meanwhile, I've been playing paper mario origami king and it's the best game I played on switch so far these past 3 months.

Nowadays more people hate on league than people actually playing league. I don't. I play 5-6 games every 5-6 months to keep up with the game and the community is much better than it used to be.

Gen 3 completely overhauled the games adding natures, abilities, Ivs and some very important and iconic moves! Gen 5 evolved the games with a more mature story and gave more flavor and depth to its competitive scene. Imo, Emerald and black1/2 are above the rest by a lot.

There's a place in my heart for pokemon md: explorers of time, pokemon rangers and pokepark my childhood pokemon games. For the best main game gen it's no doubt gen 5 the abilities, pokemon, items and moves it introduced skyrocketed competitive play then there's also characters like N and a mature story. I've been playing pokemon for a bit of nostalgia on my switch but unfortunately let's go is trash
