Re: Soapbox: The Wii Changed The Face of Gaming, Before The Console Industry Promptly Forgot Its Lessons

As always, mixing thoughts. Some people like Wii U more because here you would not have that much motion gameplay that a lot of people hated on Wii. I personally don't mind and I really liked those games that used strong motion controls such as Skyward Sword, Wii Sports, etc.

I believe Wii U would do great once their biggest franchises start to appear, it has the best of both worlds considering is compatible with Wii and all of it's controllers but also it has that traditional gameplay that lot's of people consider just for "hardcore" gamers, so it's a win/win, and I'm glad to read that in some parts Wii U is starting to sell more since the price drop and release of Wind Waker HD and this is just gonna increase once Super Mario 3D World releases and the big 3rd Party games that would follow and then, start a 2014 with top-notch quality titles such as DKC: TF and Mario Kart 8.

We don't have to worry about the lenght of the game. All Zelda titles are long and I'm sure this is no exception. Most people say Wind Waker is short and some people say is the longest... it's all depending in how they play. Since I like to always take my time to play videogames (you know, admiring the details, walking instead of running, etc.) It would be a long game for me.

Re: Pokémon X & Y Pass 1.8 Million Retail Sales to Top Japanese Charts

AdanVC

I'm starting to worry about Wii U ( But hey, this is predictable, no games coming for Wii U this week and Wind Waker just loose all the impact of being a new release. Sigh, let's hope it recovers with Sonic Lost World and from there till November with the release of their savior/hero of the year: Super Mario 3D World. That game for sure it would save Wii U just like it did with the 3DS with 3D Land.

Re: Iwata: We Never Fear Failure And Always Seek To Challenge The Status Quo

And this is why I continue supporting Nintendo. They stablish new concepts never seen before and literally most companies laugh at them at the beginning... and a couple of years later everyone is using those concepts on their products as well (Kinect, PS Move... and that ugly fighting game from PS like a Smash Bros rip-off, just to name a few) This is the reason why they have been relevant on the industry for more than 30 years, and in that time-lapse companies have come and have gone... and Nintendo is still here and it would be here for a while

Re: Monster Hunter 4 Continues to Devour Competition in Japan

Yes, the 3DS XL is selling like pancaques (or in this case, like sushi) in Japan, they don't need the 2DS at all! My god and this is just the beginning, with Pokémon X/Y releasing next week, I believe Nintendo literally is going to run out of 3DS to sell! Wii U on the other hand... : / but it's so great to know that games are slowly coming, Super Mario 3D World is the one who would save Wii U though.

Re: Ubisoft Explains Wii U Watch_Dogs Visuals as "In Between" Current and Next-Gen

AdanVC

After Super Mario 3D World, Watch_Dogs is my second most anticipated game this holiday... My main concern are not the graphics but rather a good an stable game on Wii U considering that this is a HUGE sandbox game, so I'm glad the Director is very aware of this and the possibilities with the Gamepad. Either way, Wii U is a little powerful console. Maybe a couple of low-res textures here and there, less fog in some areas, less polygons on the characters and voilá! Wii U is not so weak as most people think, remember that tech demo video when the console was announced, and the Legend of Zelda graphics demo.

Re: Nintendo Download: 10th October (Europe)

Nintendo has the most enviable library of retro games ever... and they barely release some of those epic SNES/NES games. It would be great if they release A Link to the Past so we can play it before A Link Between Worlds... I hope they do that.

Re: If You Liked the Latest Super Mario 3D World Trailer, You'll Love the New Screens

AdanVC

It's amazing how with just a single (but awesome) 2+ minute trailer, this game is now the most anticipated holiday game from most people, even to those who are still skeptical about buying a Wii U or not! I never doubt of this game and the development dream team wich is EAD. I have a feeling that this game would have more freedom than Galaxy 1 & 2, starting byt the fact that here you can freely rotate the camera like in Mario 64 or Sunshine, and it would have even more secrets and levels to unlock than Galaxy, the power-ups, the top-notch level design, the music! (that jazz piece on the trailer is just BRILLIANT!) the graphics, seriously they look like if they were made by Pixar... and in HD! I can't imagine how beautiful it would look on screen. Less than 2 months, I can't waiit!

Re: Out Now: The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD

AdanVC

I already have the Ganondorf Figurine edition and it's AMAZING! I also love the cover of the game, the golden area is like an hologram and makes Link stand out very beautifully, it's not just golden color all over it. Details like this are the reason of why I'm still buying physical games.

Re: Review: Pokémon X & Y (3DS)

AdanVC

Good-bye Animal Crossing. I have to leave in order to play Pokémon X/Y... but I'll be back for Halloween's eve I promise! Great review, now I'm even more hyped to play it!

Re: Monster Hunter 4 Dominates in Japan as The Wind Waker HD Has a Modest Debut

AdanVC

Hey but Wind Waker on 7th place is not bad at all considering there's still not a huge Wii U users base! I believe it would do better in Europe and America because of the price-drop. Let's hope next week can be higher, this game and Wii U really desserve it. 3DS on the other hand... it's higher than the Mount Everest! And is going to be even higher with Pokémon X/Y next week. Damn!

Re: New Wii U System Update Goes Live Across Europe, North America and Japan

AdanVC

@SanderEvers Fortunately (and surprisingly) the Gamepad has a sensor bar built-in! It's right in the area around the Gamepad camera. I try it myself playing some Super Mario Galaxy 2 there and it's great! It doesn't look stretched, it looks nice and smooth and the sound is pretty good as well. It has a lot of little changes and improvements this update. The biggest IMO since Wii U launch. Let's hope Nintendo announces good stuff to go together with this update tomorrow.

Re: Nintendo Direct: Wii U And 3DS Broadcast Coming Tomorrow

AdanVC

I love Nintendo Directs! hopefully we can see new footage of Super Mario 3D World, is my most anticipated Holiday game and we haven't received any news of that game since E3 and it's less than 2 months left for it's release... also, Flipnote Studio 3D, A Link Between Worlds/Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze info and what I'm most looking forward right now, the Wii U Fall update and the addition of N64/GBA games on the Virtual Console!

Re: Hardware Review: Nintendo 2DS

AdanVC

Comfort is exactly what I'm looking for on a handheld and it's great to read that the 2DS does just that. My hands get sore after I play for long periods of time on the original 3DS and I always need to take a 1 to 3 minute break. I think I would give the 2DS a try

Re: Shigeru Miyamoto Outlines His Evolving Role in Overseeing Projects

AdanVC

I don't think Miyamoto would retire anytime soon. Remember that he is working on a new IP and it would be revealed next E3! well let's hope that's true but still this method of leaving the direction of their big creation to other people and still make awesome games is a good sign of how talented the people at Nintendo is. Either way, Miyamoto is a legend!
