Re: Roundup: Here's What Was Revealed In Nintendo Direct E3 2021

Mario Party and WarioWare but not at all interested in the rest. Haven't returned to ACNH in 2021 and looks like I won't be doing. I also had a completely unfounded desire that we would see something like Tomodachi Life but with the success of Miitopia I still hope. So many RPGs but I want more life simulation (not farming/harvesting ones!)

Never got to play this the first time around so downloaded the demo yesterday and absolutely loved it. As a more casual player who still enjoys RPGs like Pokemon I really enjoyed the game. There seems to be a lot of more serious RPGs out there so I thought this was a really welcome palate cleanser. I will definitely be buying on Day 1.

@Migoshuro imo NH is characterised more as a farming/harvest sim than a life sim e.g. there is greater emphasis on constructing items than fellow islander personalities. People who like to design things seemed to have responded really well to the game but I don't enjoy terraforming as much as I would enjoy different relationship challenges and a greater variety of 'life' aspects beyond catching thousands of sea bass.

I want to like this game so badly but I don't see how people aren't bored after paying off the final loan. Doing the same tedious tasks over and over again, I heard everything residents have to say a few days in meaning their personalities are so superficial, I cannot believe Stardew Valley cost me 1/5th of the price when the gameplay, storylines and characters are so much more developed.

This is why I love the remakes, they allow you an opportunity to relive missed opportunities. I was too young to experience Blue and Red but I was at my Pokemon peak around aged 10 during Fire Red and Leaf Green (and that's why Leaf Green is my all time favourite). My brother also had Fire Red but wasn't as invested as me but I was able to use his GameBoy and game to get my hands on Arcanine and Scyther! I also loved Ruby and Sapphire but by the time Diamond and Pearl was released I thought I was a cool teenager too cool for Pokemon but now as an adult I will get to overcome my naivety and experience Sinnoh for the first time, Chibi or not I can't wait!

On one hand, I really do not appreciate the chibi style (sorry to keep going on about it) but another part of me really likes that they have a variation of art styles to differentiate all the different games, generations and regions. I still think Let's Go has the best art style - I was gutted it was one of the easiest games in the franchise because it was over before I could even truly enjoy the art.

Re: Nintendo Wants To Know What You Think About The Demo For Square Enix's New Tactical RPG

@Scollurio essentially, simulation games that aren't farming/crafting sims e.g. Tomadachi Life, The Sims, etc. I play Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley but I find the farming, catching and crafting elements fairly repetitive. My favourite thing about Stardew Valley is the relationships you build with townsfolk but Animal Crossing is really quite basic in that respect (e.g. animals who just tend to repeat the same things). I appreciate any suggestions.
