Not really a big fan of Sonic except in the Sega Megadrive days. Plus they have been releasing bad to mediocre Sonic games lately. I'm not just gonna buy Sonic Boom without researching first. For most Nintendo games however, I know they are well made (they run smoothly well, no game-breaking bugs, etc) plus I love the captain toad levels on SM3DW.

@Kirk
Coincidentally, I was thinking of the same idea yesterday when someone mentioned about Shovel Knight taking forever to be released. And then I read an IGN article this morning about the tweet by Paramount Pictures in Australia of TMNT movie release on September 11 with a picture of the turtles jumping off a burning building. They later took down and apologize for the picture because of the outrage on the connection of the 9/11 terrorist attack.

It dawned on me that it's not that simple to just release the NA version of Shovel Knight or Captain Toad on another region like EU/AU etc. The job of those who localized the games is to make sure it will be acceptable on their target regions in terms of language and content without offending anyone in a large scale.

Also, the promotional costs of a game will be higher if they promote it now and promote again later when they've finally localized it. Not to mention they will have to deal on customers wanting a refund because they've purchased a game they couldn't understand even though they've been warned that it will be localized later.

@sinalefa
Yeah I agree. I was turned off by the W101 demo, Trine 2 and some others. I will get W101 next though since I am now convinced it's a good game.

@Drac_Mazoku
They've already patched the gamepad problem of the EU version of Giana Sisters? Good to know. How about the long loading times?

@PorllM
Thanks. I will get both if Trine 1 gets a good review (no hiccups etc).

The Adorables: Luigi, Toon Link, DiddyK and Yoshi

The 3rd parties: Sonic, Megaman, Pacman and ... Rayman?

The Badasses: Fox, Captain Falcon, Little Mac and Bowser

Zelda 2 for me. I should have waited for this promo for the others. I'm not sure if I'll get DKs on NES just for nostalgia. I'll get Wrecking Crew when it's discounted though.

Still not tempted to play Kirby games. And I'll wait for Trine 1 Enchanted edition review before getting it and Trine 2 DC.

Re: NES Remix Titles Coming in Physical Version to North America

I'll go digital on Nintendo 1st party (maybe 2nd party too) games now that NNID is already in place. I won't lose my games as long as I have my account accessible. So it's not really a big deal now that they've released Wii Sports club and are now releasing NES remix pack. I'm happy for those who still prefers physical discs.

Re: Feature: Ten Wii U and 3DS Games That Are Perfect For Summer

I still need to buy W101. The rest, I already have it. I will try to finish Pikmin 3 this summer and restart 3D world on my account with my kid since I deleted our (finished) save files on his account. Also there are a dozen Wii/WiiU games and another 2 dozen eshop/VC games waiting. LOL
