I enjoyed this game a lot on SNES but I haven't been playing it in a very long time. What I remember the most is that war elephants totally rock! I might have to pick this one up.

@SakuraHaruka Games with content and themes that are not suitable for children. Of course there are games like that already on the Wii U. Just not very many. Now 'Devil's Third' is coming out but it seems that most reviewers think it is a mediocre game. Hopefully Project Zero 5 will be good.

If the gameplay is anything like Ninja gaiden this should be good for some shooting/slashing and a few laughs. I hope it's not as broken as it seemed in the previews.

@Azooooz Then why even developing new hardware? No matter how great the games are there is no way to survive unless they are able to create some type of hype. They need to sell units.

@Cia Sure, I guess. But it has to be something truly revolutionary to motivate the launching of a brand new console that will be underpowered on release (something that was not even the case with Wii U). And if the technology will be radically different it will once again be an obstacle if the goal is to have the same multi platform games that will be out for Xbox One and PS4. And at the time the NX hits the market both Sony and Microsoft is likely to have brand new and shiny powerhouses coming out within a year. This sounds like Nintendo have given up on even trying to be a part of mainstream gaming. Perhaps they are aiming to dominate the toy stores with a product that has children as their main focus instead of trying to compete with other products in the electronic stores.

PS4? That's not even the reference point I was hoping for. I thought NX was supposed to be moving beyond current gen. So NX will just be marginally more powerful than the Wii U? What is the point of developing a console like that?

How come Nintendo won't just use some of their money to produce more games? Not enough personnel? Then throw the money over some other studios to make games for you. There's not enough games to keep up interest and attract game developers, investors and consumers.

I was very happy with the StarFox Zero announcement but overall the presentation was a bit lackluster. I think they will show off more things during the Treehouse-sessions though.

This is fantastic news since I plan to get a new console but I was worried to get rid of all my old games.

Fantasy predictions: Nintendo acquire Grasshopper Manufacture, Platinum games and Tango and merge them into a super studio headed by Inafune. A new Killer7 game is announced together with a bunch of new IP's and MadWorld 2.

Rockstar is working on a brand new IP for Wii U besed in Carcer city with nods to Manhunt and GTA.

He should join forces with Inafune and Shinji Mikami and start up a new studio. =)

I'm never buying a pre-owned game in a store again. Stores shouldn't make money at the expense of game developers and publishers. I don't mind buying a pre-owned game directly from a person who purchased the game though. GameStop are just blood suckers.

Buy some exclusives for the Wii U. Everyone keep saying that Nintendo has a lot of money. Why don't they use it? How would the gaming community react if Nintendo announced an exclusive GTA- or CoD-game for the Wii U? Or how about letting popular western developers work on a few exclusive new IP's for Wii U?

Crap! I wanted to buy that! I want to play Battle Royale with four players on Wii U. =(

Keep publishing these stories to remind Nintendo that the lack of third-party support actually is something Nintendo fans care about. Most of all I miss Take2 and Rockstar games on Wii U.

I loved this game as a kid. Swinging is the way to go! =)
But I liked several games that had this style like 'Devil's world' and 'Pac-man'. I will buy all of those if they are available for download.

Now I already bought it on Xbox 360 but I would have had preferred to have it on Wii U. I am really sad that Nintendo could not fulfil the promise of being a console that would have all the multi-platform titles.
Also, I cannot see how anyone can ignore the greatness of GTA V after playing it. People who find the game disturbing, because of sexism and your role as a criminal, have missed that the game is a satire of our society. It doesn't glorify criminality or misogyny. It mocks it. An example is the fictional show 'Americas Top Hooker' with the slogan "It's time to judge women again!". These are clearly a critique against a sick mass media.

Can't you just wait until that rare occation when a developer announce that they actually have plans to release a game for the Wii U? It might be a very news dry season though.

Wii Sports was not a good game. Nintendo Land offer much more fun when you play with other people.

It's not that developers hate the Wii U. It's worse. They have to be reminded of it's existence.

I don't think the sales will be enough to get Wii U to the same level of third party support as PS/Xbox. You will most likely have to have one of those systems to play upcoming Bioshock and GTA-games. That sucks.

The E3 Nintendo Direct was abysmal! It is obvious that they stayed away from the main stage because they simply didn't have enough games to pull it off. If they are going to stick to the Nintendo Direct format they need to get Iwata out of there and let someone do the presentation in a way that can generate some excitement. Iwata is struggling just to make himself understood. He might actually do better by focusing on doing his job and getting games out for Wii U.

They are safely digging themselves deeper in the ground. They proved the the gaming community that they were indeed right in excluding Wii U from the next-gen. At least people are still talking about Xbox One. But Nintendo is not even mentioned anymore.

I feel a total lack of excitement for The Last of Us. Tired old theme. I don't want to play another after-the-apocalypse-style-game again.

It's surprising how little information there was available prior to the launch of this version. All of a sudden it was just there in the store without a single review available for it.

Rampage: Total destruction is in my Wii U right now. I even bought new Wii games, like Maramusa and Twilight princess, to play on the Wii U. I will probably get Punch Out!!! for Wii too.

Why would in not be realistic to expect Nintendo to have more games finished at this point? They have money don't they? Why don't they invest in more personnel and new development studios? A huge game company like Nintendo should be able to produce more than one game a month. Why don't they produce any low-cost games for the eShop? They should have the capacity to produce a lot of games like that with new and creative ideas.

GTA V on Wii U: Make it happen! =)

There is no way it could be a good decision not having a stage-presentation at E3. The stage is set. The world media is there. The gaming community are watching.
Forget the huge show. The fireworks and everything else that cost money. They don't need any of that for a stage presentation. But it doesn't make sense not walking out on that stage and into the spotlight.

Hell yes! This is the game I need on Wii U. Most other games I can do without.
