Such a great system with so many hits. Here's just some of my favorites:
1. Smash Bros. Melee 2. Metroid Prime 3. Resident Evil REmake (I played it on the Wii, but pretty much the same game) 4. Megaman Man/Megaman X Collections 5. Custom Robo
AND
Stars Wars: Jedi Knight 2- Jedi Outcast for that multiplayer!
Yeah, I don't get the Tri-Force Heroes hate either; sure, it has a formulaic set-up, but it felt fun and goofy when I was playing with people online. There was quite a bit of puzzle solving too.
I love Mario Kart 8 and have played all the current courses to death. Some new courses would be super welcome and would lower the odds of Baby Park showing up online.
@MetalKingShield The Etrian Untold 1 post-game was pure torture. Everything from the enemy combinations to the F.O.E.s (I'm looking at you Depth Dancer) wanted to rush you straight to the Game Over screen. I've actually found Untold 2 to be much more forgiving since the story mode classes seem to be more flexible.
I've been grinding through the EO2: Fafnir Knight postgame this week. Hands down, my favorite series on 3ds and I have high expectations for the upcoming game.
Looking at the comments on Youtube for this video, the game is actually rated "Cero D" and not "Z" which you can see at the bottom right corner at the end. I'm really excited for this game and it's one of only a few retail 3ds games I'll be getting this year!
This kinda reminds me of those plastic electronic toys like the Pokewalker and Battle Network's P.E.T. I'm sure the app will contain most of the core elements from the main series, but they seemed so pared down that they won't sustain a lasting experience.
@Gridatttack As far as I know, this is the first title in the series to receive a western localization. I have heard that some fans created an English translation for the the original DS game though.
@MetalKingShield I actually like the postgame for Etrian Untold 2 even if it has some really tough bosses. The postgame is really the area of an Etrian game where you master the battle style and rework it to fit a given situation. On the other hand, Untold 1 postgame is brutal and Depth Dancer is my least favorite enemy in the series.
Glad that we have a new playable character with boss attacks! I wasn't going to buy this game because our previous info made it seem identical to the first game with new bosses.
I agree that the art style screams spin-off and not in a good way. I don't hate the game like some, but also can't see anything groundbreaking in the vein of online co-op coming from this project.
These are welcome additions and the red coin and key ideas will help to make even more diverse level experiences. This was definitely a highlight from tonight's direct for me.
I agree with the article that, if you haven't played this game before, it is worth the full price. However, the new features aren't enough for me to purchase the game again at full price. The idea of "Hero Mode" being simply a damage increase, heart scarcity and mirror map, in this case, feels like a wasted opportunity in the franchise as a whole. Master Quest nailed the difficulty, though, by upping the puzzle challenge, putting enemies in tricky places, and thinking creatively in general. I hope that Hero Mode will go back to that formula in future releases!
I've been watching for updates with this game like a hawk since the last update. Now, if only the Famitsu info came with some sample tracks for the Etrian V, everything would be golden!
Yeah, the most disappointing thing for me was the fact that it is a Holiday release while I was expecting it in Fall. With that in mind, we may not get many details for Sun and Moon for several months. I'll be getting all of the re-releases so I can at least get my Pokemon fill for a while.
As someone who grew up during the pokemon craze, the glitches were never something that I viewed as a negative. In fact, I don't think I ever got around to beating the game back then without using the rare candy glitch.
Pokemon Z seemed very unlikely to me in the past few months for several reasons. It's been quite a period of time since the gen. 3 remakes so I figured they had to be working on something with more new content than another Kalos version. New generations are always a win for pokemon gamers, even better than a 3rd version "done right" in my opinion; bring on gen. 7!
Wow, I ended up just picking a remake from each of the first 3 generations. I really wanted to pick "X" because it added a lot of great pokemon to the mix and had a really nice atmosphere but ended up going with Alpha Sapphire instead.
I'm excited to finally get some details about this game since it feels like it's been such a long time since the initial teaser. It's fine if it's on 3ds for me, but I'm hoping they have enough changes to make this game feel like a progression from EO 4 and the Untold games.

Re: The Pokémon Company Reports a 2016 Retail Revenue of $3.3 Billion
@Menchi187 I actually found Sun/Moon to be leagues better than any of the 3ds games but I guess different people look for different things in a game.

Well it's certainly better than not having the games shown at all but nothing to write home about.
