During today's Nintendo Direct, it was reiterated that the hit sequel Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 will launch in summer of 2016 on the 3DS eShop.
The sequel to the original Azure Striker Gunvolt, the newest installment brings new features and characters to the mix. Gunvolt's rival Copen is now a playable character and possesses the trait to copy all of the seven new boss characters abilities and use them as his own.
The first game is currently on promotion, too with a third off the price until 1st June.

The first game is a perfect substitute for the Mega Man that Capcom is refusing to give to us.
I'm also looking forward to MNo.9, but let's be real; interest in it is fading due to delays in release date.
This game is currently my most anticipated Mega-crack.XD

I like the first game, there are big flaws, but it's good enough to deserve a sequel, and more important, a sequel that I'm looking forward to buy.
I loved the first game so I definitely have this one on my radar! The unique gameplay style is what kept me hooked for hours on end.
Absolutely loved the first game, and can't wait for this one. Glad to see it get some screentime in this Direct.

Glad that we have a new playable character with boss attacks! I wasn't going to buy this game because our previous info made it seem identical to the first game with new bosses.

I need this in my life. Couldn't get enough of the first one and this looks to set the bar even higher! Having 2 playable characters will definitely help with replay value.

The sprites work on those games is fantastic.
I thought the first game was pretty awesome, so I'm looking forward to this one. I especially like the inclusion of a new character to use. Looks like he has a completely different style of combat to get good at. Should liven things up a bit! First game was worth the full price too so a discount for people who haven't played it sweetens the deal.

The game looks amazing. Copen is a wonderful addition as well, sorta reminds me of ZX and ZX advent where you could switch between modes and even copy some bosses, appearance and moveset! Sure it isn't the same but hey 2 characters = twice the action!
Loved the first, but I am still waiting for that update Inti Creates promised. Y'know the one with the fixed dialogue, mid-battle dialogue and Japanese voices which the Steam version had as part of the core game.....
I remember hearing about this game, but how did I ignore it for so long? This looks amazing!
