was not worth a $10 update for some Game Gear games
so it shipped unfinished a year ago and now they charge us to add in some minor updates? If this was released once as a total package than yeah i think $40 would have been fine for a physical version but they charged more for that and had a over priced pre-order edition that included widescreen etc

I think the games new or old that are more straightforward on what you should do next stand the tests of time.

i think games where you need a guide are a pain.
I mean who would know that you have to walk 5 steps to find a flute or other craziness of Dragon Quest 1

but I had Dragon Warrior on NES and played it to the end.
I'm guess Nintendo Power helped me out as i still remember things about the game to this day. I remembered them when i played thru the excellent Gameboy Port and the nice mobile/switch ports as well.

Slam Master is on those Arcade1up machines
i kind of wish they tossed in the SNES/Genesis versions of some of these titles

The game is a complete blast but the graphics do hurt it from time to time. it is mostly the pop in stuff that hurts it based on the catch system.
If you're playing from a casual viewpoint the game is almost perfect but if you want to do everything the game offers sometimes just seeing where a pokemon is or the opposite you can see the pokemon but cant see the grass to hide in in order to sneak up close for pokedex entries.
Overall i'm having fun like i did with the DLC for Sword/Shield as the main game was boring.
It feels like Pokemon has reached the 360/ps3 era of graphics.
It's the only negative of this game.

I have a n64 i bought a few years ago set up on an old TV in my bedroom.
Traded my original n64 in for a Pikachu one back when that came out. Ex kept it though, which is a shame for me. Hey You Pikachu should get a 2nd shot with how popular Nintendogs was.

While i understand they had a deadline to get this game out with some features being delayed. I'd hope they finally gave us a new game plus option since Home isn't ready yet.

@Kiwi_Unlimited that's been a staple of the series from the start. With all the stuff they hand you from mystery gifts and such you don't really need to worry about it

i'm enjoying Brilliant Diamond, I was burnt out when they arrived on DS from Pokemon.
I still have Platinum sitting here. I left off around the time i got Rotom in the game.

I think it's better than Sword/Shield. i was bored going thru the game. I just hope they don't have Platinum DLC next year.

I mean rom hacks are a thing. we can replace Spider-Man or the X-Men in Sega's old games with Shinobi or Golden Axe charactors

People threw the same fit when they replaced San Andreas on the Xbox with the mobile port when it became backward compatible on Xbox One.
I mean these mobile versions have been around since the days of the original iPad over 10 years ago.

it's almost a PR move at this point to release a less than perfect game and fix it with patches to show goodwill towards the customers

@Ralizah if you buy it in Steam you still need to sign in. I bought EA's Star Wars Squadron on Epic that had me sign into EAs launcher which launched Steam to play in VR.

The DRM is crazy anymore.

@PeteW San Andreas is on Xbox Game Pass so i bought them on the Switch.
so far so good, after playing the ps2 versions on ps4 this is much better lol.

@Eel I have Sun,Moon and Ultra Moon. Haven't played Sun yet but they should port these with these anime cut scenes. It'd be great.
