Pokémon Legends: Arceus introduces a whole different style of mainline Pokémon adventure to newbes and series veterans to enjoy, with its own way of doing things that often diverge from the way we dealt with certain tasks in past games.
One such obstacle you might encounter are big rocks. Veteran Pokémon trainers may well think a specific Pokémon or a specific move is needed to break rocks in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, but as you'll see in our rock-breaking 'guide' below, that's probably overthinking things...
How To Break Rocks in Pokémon Legends: Arceus
You know those big rocks that block your way in Pokémon Legends: Arceus? You probably assumed that they were progress gates, right? That you'd need some big strong late-game Pokémon to smash 'em to bits? Yeah, no. You can smash them from basically the beginning of the game.
All you need is a Pokémon and a throwing arm. Just lob whichever Pokémon you like best at the big rocks, and they will take them down in just three hits. It's that easy. You'll even get a bunch of materials for your efforts, which can include rare evolution stones.
We have heard some reports of the Pokémon needing to be able to learn Rock Smash, but not necessarily needing to know the move, but we're pretty sure that any old Pokémon will do!

are you serious bro?
Good tip to know. Will be traveling back to those huge rocks covering the entrance to a few tunnels I saw.
Didn't realized this on my 1st early playthrough, I'd thought you'll need another Pokémon ride to break those boulders. Turns out, your Pokémon can just do it for you. Took me a while to figure it out, oof.
Well...that's certainly something that could've used an in-game explanation.
what......now I need to get working harder now....ugh....
I saw one of these and threw my newly caught Mime Jr. at it just to see if it would do anything. I was surprised to see it actually worked.
Thanks Kate, you rock! 😂
I swear I tried that and nothing happened, so I continued the whole game waiting to unlock something that broke the rocks. Maybe I just missed or maybe not all Pokemon work?
The ability to launch any Pokémon to any obstacle looks like a nice precursor to using Hidden Moves with any of your Pokémon without specific moves, just similar contextual moves

I don’t believe this.
I just assumed one of the plot point Pokémon would unlock it until after I beat the main plot and was confused why I couldn’t. I than assumed a quest would unlock it until the massive mass break out or whatever quest needed me to break it so I finally looked this up….. all this time
