Re: Interview: Hideki Kamiya on The Wonderful 101, Bayonetta 2 and Working With Nintendo

smashbrolink

I hope that the end bit of this interview has made at least a few of the more vocal people who whined about this being exclusive to Wii U feel properly bad about how they acted.

As Kamiya said, Nintendo swooped in and saved the day for our favorite Umbran Witch.
Kamiya took the deal for the sake of the fans, believing that they'd be happy that the sequel was going to live on.
Instead, he got a huge amount of flak for it.
How is that fair to him, his team, OR Nintendo?
Hint: it wasn't.
Those screaming anti-Nintendo fan jerks should be ashamed of themselves.

Why am I not surprised that Mol chose the realistic-looking Zelda?
Don't get me wrong, I loved the game almost as much as the next Zelda fan[I felt that many of the areas were too pointlessly huge with not enough to do during traveling through them], but there are so many other Zelda games that, IMO, have a better art style...

Rail shooters aren't as popular a genre as they once were, so I don't expect this to sell well.
The one that did best recently was Sin & Punishment: Star Successor, and that was because it had a few unique aspects to it.
Well, that and Kid Icarus, but I digress; this just feels too plain. I doubt it'll get any attention.

Re: Review: Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate (3DS)

I wasn't sold on Lords of Shadow.
I owned the game but gladly traded it in soon after beating it.
If I wanted God of War, I'd have played God of War; I expect more than that out of my Castlevania titles.
An emphasis on exploration, platforming, and item collection is what sold me on the series in the first place, and replacing the majority of that with just deeper combat doesn't feel like a positive trade-off, so I'll likely be saving my money for the next Metroid-vania style entry in the acclaimed series.

If they find a way of allowing us to do mind control for fighting games, it's going to be a huge deal......
Imagine a game that reacts as fast as you think as you fight each other......

Oh!
WAIT!
No, BETTER!

I know this reference might not make the most sense to everyone, but if you've ever read the Manga called Yureka......

LOST SAGA!

Re: Kotick's $8.2 Billion Buyout Makes Activision Independent

Wait, so, Activision Blizzard is still responsible for Black Ops II, right?
Does this mean that, now that they are free of their parent company, they might change their policies a bit and start doing things better?
Like, I dunno, bringing ELITE AND DLC to the Wii U version of Black Ops II??

@ricklongo
I dunno about you, but I feel that Monolith Soft is slowly starting to take up the mantle that Square had back when it was just Square Soft.
Xenoblade Chronicles was incredible, and the upcoming X is looking fantastic.
It's bringing back sweet, fond memories of my time playing games like Secret of Mana and Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars.
I'm very happy Nintendo officially acquired them as a first-party studio...
