I hope that the end bit of this interview has made at least a few of the more vocal people who whined about this being exclusive to Wii U feel properly bad about how they acted.
As Kamiya said, Nintendo swooped in and saved the day for our favorite Umbran Witch. Kamiya took the deal for the sake of the fans, believing that they'd be happy that the sequel was going to live on. Instead, he got a huge amount of flak for it. How is that fair to him, his team, OR Nintendo? Hint: it wasn't. Those screaming anti-Nintendo fan jerks should be ashamed of themselves.
Why am I not surprised that Mol chose the realistic-looking Zelda? Don't get me wrong, I loved the game almost as much as the next Zelda fan[I felt that many of the areas were too pointlessly huge with not enough to do during traveling through them], but there are so many other Zelda games that, IMO, have a better art style...
Platinum would only gain from becoming a second party studio to Nintendo at this point. Kamiya wants it, and he'd be great for a Star Fox title or Metroid title. Plus, the chances of a Vanquish sequel....drool
@Hyperstar96 Part of the "skill" in Pokemon is knowing and taking the right steps when raising your teams. The fact that it just so happens to be a massive time sink at the same time is irrelevant, really.
He says there's more content here than in Bayonetta......
Now, is he talking about the Wii U sequel, or the first game on the PS360?
I'm hoping he doesn't mean Bayonetta 2.....
Rail shooters aren't as popular a genre as they once were, so I don't expect this to sell well. The one that did best recently was Sin & Punishment: Star Successor, and that was because it had a few unique aspects to it. Well, that and Kid Icarus, but I digress; this just feels too plain. I doubt it'll get any attention.
Maybe they'll give new Smash details and some actual release months for some of the big titles we already know about. That'd make the Direct a success in my book.
IMO, he's giving tablet gaming too much credit. The 3DS is basically a money-printer; there's no way tablets are going to threaten it in any substantial way this coming year.
Can't wait to see the sales numbers after a couple of weeks in the states..... I hope they'll be as good as I think they'll be. A quarter of a million would make me happy.
I wasn't sold on Lords of Shadow. I owned the game but gladly traded it in soon after beating it. If I wanted God of War, I'd have played God of War; I expect more than that out of my Castlevania titles. An emphasis on exploration, platforming, and item collection is what sold me on the series in the first place, and replacing the majority of that with just deeper combat doesn't feel like a positive trade-off, so I'll likely be saving my money for the next Metroid-vania style entry in the acclaimed series.
@Big_Gamer It's not making use of any outside influences. Everything done is possible in-game. Hence, an exploit, not a cheat. If this were a multiplayer game and he were using it to gain an advantage over other human players, it would be too close to being cheating to be allowed, but as that isn't the case....
@GiftedGimp Or maybe the code entry screen is already in the game, and we just don't know how to access it yet.....there is precedence for such a thing....
If they find a way of allowing us to do mind control for fighting games, it's going to be a huge deal...... Imagine a game that reacts as fast as you think as you fight each other......
Oh! WAIT! No, BETTER!
I know this reference might not make the most sense to everyone, but if you've ever read the Manga called Yureka......
Four captains would have been overkill, so I'm glad they stuck with 3. I hope they decide to extend the story via DLC at some point, though; I want more of this game to love, and I'll gladly pay to extend the experience.^_^
Wait, so, Activision Blizzard is still responsible for Black Ops II, right? Does this mean that, now that they are free of their parent company, they might change their policies a bit and start doing things better? Like, I dunno, bringing ELITE AND DLC to the Wii U version of Black Ops II??
I'm sad about my copy of BOII not getting any DLC, but I'll pick up Ghosts day on, on the slim chance that they'll actually give the game full support.
@ricklongo I dunno about you, but I feel that Monolith Soft is slowly starting to take up the mantle that Square had back when it was just Square Soft. Xenoblade Chronicles was incredible, and the upcoming X is looking fantastic. It's bringing back sweet, fond memories of my time playing games like Secret of Mana and Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. I'm very happy Nintendo officially acquired them as a first-party studio...
I've said it before, I'll say it again: Indies are the future of third-party gaming. There's so much incredible talent just OOZING out of that side of the industry lately.

Re: Professor Layton Franchise Sales Hit 15 Million, Guild Downloads Reach 400,000
@russellohh Is it only in Japan? I'd get it if it came to the states....

@Madmanonfire I call Green Sonic!XD
Re: Ludosity's Ittle Dew Was Pitched to Nintendo as a Zelda Game
It all makes sense now.
Well, seeing as how the Wii U is kinda lacking in Adventure titles right now, I'll pick it up if it hits the system.
Re: The Wonderful 101 Reportedly Shipping Just 30,000 Copies for Japanese Launch
If the same numbers come out for the state-side release, it might become a case of Xenoblade Chronicles all over again.XD

Re: Capcom Reiterates Stance On Further Disney Remastering
@SuperKMx SNES edition of Aladdin had better platforming, it just lacked a sword, so I say remake the SNES version.
Re: Call of Duty: Ghosts Multiplayer Outlined in Lavish Presentation
I hear the special editions won't be offered to Wii U owners, so if that's an indication that we won't get all the DLC, then that sucks royal balls.

"Temporary evolutions", eh?
Digimon has competition?XD JK
I'm okay with this.
Re: 3D Streets Of Rage Will Come With One Hit Deathblow Mode
I can see some complaining about this making the game "too easy", but it might be fun to blow through things like a God after beating it once.XD

It's a shame that this feature is useless to me.
My art skills aren't so much a Van Gogh as they are a Van Stop.^^;;
Re: Platinum: Nintendo's Focus On Perfection Can Be "Unnerving", But They Give "Great Advice"
@19Robb92 Agreed. I love the fact that a highly-respected AAA third party is saying something like this.

Re: Boy Credits Mario Kart After Taking Control of Car and Saving Lives When Grandmother Passed Out
@Aviator Not really, considering without it he likely wouldn't have even have a general sense of what it's like to take the wheel of a vehicle.
Re: Video: Rejected CGI Zelda Film Discovered Online
The models felt too squared off, especially around the chins. It was like watching some sort of badly-done version of generic Disney characters.XD
The black beasts, however, looked pretty awesome......
