@Harrison_Peter

So there's unlimited days?
Then does that mean there's unlimited fruit, too?
Because if they run out of food, it's an automatic loss, so that would also act as an arbitrary limit.....

Re: Feature: When it Comes to Games, What's in a Name?

Rock Man only makes sense if you relate it to music and know about Roll, and not everyone would do that/know that.
Whereas everyone under the sun can relate the term "Mega" to something loosely resembling the concept of "Awesome", so Mega Man just fits better.

Re: Nintendo Will Allow Super Smash Bros. Melee Stream From EVO 2013

smashbrolink

I'll laugh my butt off if the reason they initially wanted the stream of Melee canceled is because they wanted gamers at the event to participate in a surprise introduction of Smash 4 for Wii U at EVO instead. Like, a pre-final build of the game for people to test out and enjoy for a while to spread awareness of the game amongst the rest of the fighting game community.
But then, because of people wanting more Melee instead, they retracted their decision and are now keeping Smash 4 all to themselves until launch.

Re: Iwata: Third Party Wii U Launch Titles Could Not Enjoy Brisk Sales As Many Were Ports

smashbrolink

It's not solely because they were ports.
It's because many of said ports were done BADLY.
Take ME3 for example; released on the Wii U right around the same time as THE MASS EFFECT SERIES COLLECTION.
IIRC, it didn't even have all of the DLC, and used a comic book to make up for the story players missed.
It was a piss-poor attempt at bringing the games to the Wii U, and that version would never have sold well on any other system either.

Re: UK Store GAME Pulls Mention Of SNES Emulator From Ouya Sales Page

I find it highly ironic that they'd even advertise Nintendo games as a draw in the first place.
There are so many people that hate Nintendo in general just because it's the "in thing" to do right now that I doubt it would help them sell anything.
Unless, of course, most of those haters are just liars who don't want to be SEEN playing Nintendo games......

Re: Video: Let's Play Fast & Furious: Showdown

@ungibbed The shovelware shuffle started the moment EA did JUST mass effect 3 when they could have done an upgraded version of the series collection, plus all DLC.

Third parties have their arrogant heads so far up their donkey that they've lost sight of how to develop unique games for the Wii U, so they're relying on weak ports and failing because of it.
It's really sad. The Wii U deserves better than this.

Re: EA: We're Not Writing Off Wii U

smashbrolink

You're proud of them......
You put a half-done version of JUST Mass Effect 3 on the Wii U, don't include all of the DLC, and YOU'RE PROUD OF THAT?
DIE, EA! I mean, SERIOUSLY!
Get OFF our system and STAY off, if you can't do a better JOB!

Re: Reggie Unmoved By The Threat Of $400 PlayStation 4

smashbrolink

@Andrewroxsox The Wii U is the cheapest of the three consoles, so it isn't overpriced.
The game pad isn't "half-baked". Developers like the ones behind Deus Ex Director's Cut know how to use it right, as do the guys behind Splinter Cell Blacklist.
Other devs, not so much.
Speaking of other devs, third point; no third party support is better than crappy third party support.
Look at how Sniper Elite V2 ended up.
It lacks the multiplayer and has none of the DLC.
It's a half-done port.
Do you really WANT half-done ports as opposed to nothing at all?
Because I know I sure as hell don't.
People have their priorities backwards; they're giving too much credit to the bad third parties, and not enough credit to Nintendo for sticking to what works.
There's a few specific third parties that are doing better than the others, but overall, support is lacking because most of them are trying to take the lazy way out with quick age-old ports, then shying away from further development when their lack-luster efforts don't turn into the sort of profits they think they deserve.
