@FroguinZX I think Nintendo would be generous and allow them to finish their work on Persona 5 before focusing on Nintendo systems, if it came to that.
So there's unlimited days? Then does that mean there's unlimited fruit, too? Because if they run out of food, it's an automatic loss, so that would also act as an arbitrary limit.....
That's how it was with the 3DS, too. I'm sure the Wii U is going to start picking up in sales very quickly very soon. Heck, Japan is already seeing a boost thanks to Pikmin 3.
Rock Man only makes sense if you relate it to music and know about Roll, and not everyone would do that/know that. Whereas everyone under the sun can relate the term "Mega" to something loosely resembling the concept of "Awesome", so Mega Man just fits better.
I never played the emulated version since I'm a straight-laced kind of guy, so I've never experienced the game in HD. Nintendo is making this game for the fans that didn't emulate. That's fine by me.
Also, they say they've done something to make the Triforce quest more bearable, so there's that....
I'll laugh my butt off if the reason they initially wanted the stream of Melee canceled is because they wanted gamers at the event to participate in a surprise introduction of Smash 4 for Wii U at EVO instead. Like, a pre-final build of the game for people to test out and enjoy for a while to spread awareness of the game amongst the rest of the fighting game community. But then, because of people wanting more Melee instead, they retracted their decision and are now keeping Smash 4 all to themselves until launch.
It's not solely because they were ports.
It's because many of said ports were done BADLY.
Take ME3 for example; released on the Wii U right around the same time as THE MASS EFFECT SERIES COLLECTION.
IIRC, it didn't even have all of the DLC, and used a comic book to make up for the story players missed.
It was a piss-poor attempt at bringing the games to the Wii U, and that version would never have sold well on any other system either.
It's amazing that a mere staff of 30 could create something as incredibly fun-looking to play as X is looking so far. Why can't more AAA studios take a leaf from their book?
Lots of familiar elements present here. I'll give it a go once it hits the Wii U. Seems like it could be worth playing as a parody of the Zelda series.
So basically; screw the people who lowered my approval rating, I'm not going to betray my employees to raise myself in their eyes. Good guy, that Iwata. Not the best businessman in terms of quick profit, SOMETIMES, but most definitely a trustworthy and praise-worthy human being.
I find it highly ironic that they'd even advertise Nintendo games as a draw in the first place. There are so many people that hate Nintendo in general just because it's the "in thing" to do right now that I doubt it would help them sell anything. Unless, of course, most of those haters are just liars who don't want to be SEEN playing Nintendo games......
I hope it grows beyond Assassin's Creed as a game that does more than stealth and combat. It's doing something in terms of gameplay that is very rarely seen these days, and it's a perfect fit for the Wii U on top of that.
I would love to see them make something unique and special for the Wii U. They've got an incredible amount of talent, and the game pad would give them a new medium to do incredible things with.
@ungibbed The shovelware shuffle started the moment EA did JUST mass effect 3 when they could have done an upgraded version of the series collection, plus all DLC.
Third parties have their arrogant heads so far up their donkey that they've lost sight of how to develop unique games for the Wii U, so they're relying on weak ports and failing because of it.
It's really sad. The Wii U deserves better than this.
There's only one thing that worries me about this game...... How will they continue the M&L series beyond this one when this one is going to be so hard to top?!
If Nintendo sues Ouya, they should try working towards getting rights on whatever tech is inside it. Add the rights to use said tech in their own devices in the future. Two birds one stone; good tech for Nintendo and an ethics book to the face for Ouya.
@XCWarrior Yeah, you get it for cheaper on other places, can't blame you for going that route. But ask yourself this; does the game's quality look like $15 is still a fair price?
@BlackStar9000 But can you market it to GAMERS? It's great that you can market it for its chat capabilities, but still, that's not the focus group of the system.
You're proud of them...... You put a half-done version of JUST Mass Effect 3 on the Wii U, don't include all of the DLC, and YOU'RE PROUD OF THAT? DIE, EA! I mean, SERIOUSLY! Get OFF our system and STAY off, if you can't do a better JOB!
@Andrewroxsox The Wii U is the cheapest of the three consoles, so it isn't overpriced. The game pad isn't "half-baked". Developers like the ones behind Deus Ex Director's Cut know how to use it right, as do the guys behind Splinter Cell Blacklist. Other devs, not so much. Speaking of other devs, third point; no third party support is better than crappy third party support. Look at how Sniper Elite V2 ended up. It lacks the multiplayer and has none of the DLC. It's a half-done port. Do you really WANT half-done ports as opposed to nothing at all? Because I know I sure as hell don't. People have their priorities backwards; they're giving too much credit to the bad third parties, and not enough credit to Nintendo for sticking to what works. There's a few specific third parties that are doing better than the others, but overall, support is lacking because most of them are trying to take the lazy way out with quick age-old ports, then shying away from further development when their lack-luster efforts don't turn into the sort of profits they think they deserve.
I wouldn't mind a remake, but only if they make sure that their graphical updates don't detract from the dark moodiness of some of the landscapes and characters. I'd much rather see this as a Wii U thing, in fact.
That cheaper price is enough for another game and maybe even an extra pro controller[or third party equivalent of one], so I don't see an issue with how it is now.
@banacheck
All that power, as far as I've seen, isn't making an earth-shattering difference in gameplay, and the visuals aren't really THAT huge a leap, either, so I don't see why the higher tech matters this time.
Everyone's in HD now.
What's going to matter going forward is the gameplay, not the graphics.
@antonvaltaz PS4 is $399, and XBone is $499.
The most expensive Wii U is $349.
So unless you're talking about a unit of currency aside from USD, get your prices right, or Trebeck will kill you in your sleep.XD

So nothing this week.
