@manu0 Um, you mean the one that was double the price? ... Damn, I guess I stand corrected, but at the same time, am not upset. I can understand Why Europe is doing this tho, Fire Emblem and Nintendo in general is a harder sell there. Though I can understand why some people are annoyed by this...
Wow, it seems like there are a lot of people confused. There is no difference in value between Europe and US versions, it's just a difference in packaging. The European version still only lets you choose one path.
@Darknyht Nope, if you look at the image in the video I posted, we can see his face is different, and his hat has stitching on the end, so this isn't SSB art.
Okay, in a gamexplain discussion video, ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=icn9p-huBvM , pause at 24:10) we can see a detailed and up-close version of the new render. We can see he has the same hair and eyebrows, as well as his laced collor and stiched cap, both of which only appear in Twilignt Princess.
@Blizzia Wow, you sir feel the same way I do. I'm still trying to find the magic in ALBW, and I keep wondering why it tops every single "Best 3ds Games" list. The dungeons are pretty good, but I think the overworld is terrible. I tolally agree with you with Minish Cap, that game was frickin' great.
Yet another piece ws taken off and we can see a name in japenese and a 'IV', which leads me to believe it's a port of SMT IV, a sequel, or a re-release +expansion similar to Persona 3 FES
@Stitches Yeah, I see that now. If it's a sequal I'm fine with that, but I was really hoping for SMT V
Another piece was removed on the website, so we can see it very clearly says 'final' and then has a peace sign in the background. Final Peace? Maybe a special HD remix of past games like nocturne, DDS, etc?
Please be SMT V Please be SMT V Please be SMT V Please be SMT V Please be SMT V Please be SMT V Please be SMT V Please be SMT V Please be SMT V Please be SMT V (on PS4/Wii U/NX, I want the first hd SMT game)
@Arcanum @EllenJMiller No, you scroll it with your index finger. Though it's a wheel type thing, it's still a shoulter button, and thus it's obvious you just use your index. It's in the article if you struggle through it...
@Legromancer The game including a 'happy world with happy characters' isn't the problem by itself. The problem is that the game was promised to be a direct crossover between a moderately dark franchise and a considerately dark franchise. Fans were expecting the crossover game to retain that, especially since that first reveal trailer. They have problems with the game because this bubble-gummy, pop star style that they have as an integral part of the game. It wouldn't be bad by itself, but is dissapointing because that style is practically the polar opposite of the style in both of the series'.
@Nintendian @Miss_Dark Wow, I didn't know others where having this problem. I got the 3D remake and I can tell it's one of the best Zeldas, but I have no interest in finishing it...
@readyletsgo Yep, definitely no translation error in that quote. You can tell he was using a pompous tone through the quote that wasn't even freaking translated properly!
I'll calm down now. *inserts handful of popcorn into mouth
There is absolutely nothing wrong with having good graphics and a deep story. The problem arises when they overshadow the gameplay, and become the main focus of the game. Most games would be better games whith better gaphics, and that is a fact. There is nothing wrong with good graphics, as long as the gameplay is the main focus.
@STAGGLY It's simple: Only first party games = only some Nintendo fans buy, 3rd party support = Nintendo fans and other gamers buy the thing. Imagine if the only things you couldn't play on your Nintendo system were a few MicroSony exclusives. Being able to play both Nintendo games and all 3rd party games > Just Nintendo games.
@STAGGLY ^The peeps don't want the NX to fail, but most of them feel it is inevitable if this rumor is true, and if nothing earth shattering is added to it. They aren't arguing about whether it will be good or not, they are arguing whether it will be successful or not.
@carlos82 Yes and their hardware "innovations" usually hold back their software in one way or another. Their added cost to the console causes it to be filled with less powerful parts to keep the same cost. Also, using Skyward Sword as an example, the hardware really influenced the software too much.
@bluedogrulez I don't think the argument is whether or not less powerful things are good or not, it is whether a less powerful console in today's market can succeed. I personally like the Wii U, I think it's a good console, but despite what I think of it, it just isn't successful.
@IceClimbers 3rd parties want to develop for the standard of the time. Yes, even if it meets that standard they can dismiss it, but there's not even a chance of development if it doesn't.
@Aromaiden Ah I understand better know. I think what I'm trying to say is that all the companies have done it, but Nintendo is the only major developer doing it now. From watching MicroSony's presentations, I can tell they are really trying to put out quality games for their fans. From watching Nintendo's, well, let's just say they better be hard at work making games for the NX...
@JLPick Yes and the way to get all those genres easily is to have 3rd party support, and the way to get that is to make a powerful console that is easy to develop for. If not, they will be limited in their library again...
@Aromaiden Yes, but just because other companies have done it, doesn't mean we can just dismiss Nintendo's actions and still blindly feed them our money. It just baffles me that Nintendo doesn't understand that the best way to take the fans' money is to give them exactly what they want. It's really strange that they don't...
@carlos82 Amen brudda. A lot of people are screaming about wanting "innovation" in Ninty's consoles, but I believe Nintendo should just make a good regular console, and instead of innovating with their consoles, innovate with their games. Games are why we buy consoles anyway, not for a screen on the controller.
@Aromaiden It's pretty sad, but I have to agree with @AVahne. Nintendo's performance at E3 this year further clarifies what Nintendo is interested in: Making money. They tried to push cheap, poorly made, dumbed-down versions of the games we actually want, just to make an easy buck. The reason Sony's presentation was so good was because they gave fans exactly what they wanted and more, instead of stupid worthless crap.
No no no. Nintendo needs to build its audience on core gamers who will keep coming back because they trust Nintendo's brand quality. If they try to win the audience of people who are content with ipad apps, they will most likely fail. Even if they succeed, this sets Nintendo up with basically becoming a mobile game developer. Since their audience is the casual crowd, they will need to make games that appeal to them, and thus they will loose even more notoriety and respect from the gaming community.
With the Wii U, Ninty tried to have it all: the casual crowd and the hardcore gamers. However, to appeal to the casual crowd they made it weak and cheap, but in doing so, they lost 3rd party support and thus the hardcore gamers. They also didn't realize that casual gamers aren't in tune with the market, and also don't care about graphical upgrades or additional gimmicks. This paired with the bad advertising resulted in the Wii U being ignored by the casuals. Only the core Nintendo fans have held on, which is why the Wii U failed. If the NX is a home console and these rumor are true, the NX better have a mind-blowing gimmick, or it will fail.
@Fath The weapon system now isn't just the same weapons without the durability # on the side; now every weapon has its strengths and weaknesses. Wanna destroy someone with your silver sword? Well its powerful but it will lower your defense and leave you vulnerable. This new system adds a lot more strategy than having you weapon break from time to time. And yes, giving players the choice to f*ck their siblings is crossing the line.
@Kaze_Memaryu It's funny, your issues with it are selling points to me. I'm really glad they got rid of weapon durability, because in Awakening, you had infinite money and thus it was only a minor inconvenience sometimes during a stage. It wasn't like in 7 where they were only so many shops and you had to ration your weapon use. Character designs are subjective, but I happen to love them, and the split is just the way the story is, and we shouldn't judge it wholly from the trailers and stuff.
Now the things I'm afraid of are the dating sim, making your own town, taking people's clothes off, the bath house, and rubbing peoples faces while the say questionable things to you, such as "...What would mother say?"-your in game brother!
