Re: Genei Ibun Roku #FE Japanese Release Date And Bundles Revealed

@Legromancer The game including a 'happy world with happy characters' isn't the problem by itself. The problem is that the game was promised to be a direct crossover between a moderately dark franchise and a considerately dark franchise. Fans were expecting the crossover game to retain that, especially since that first reveal trailer. They have problems with the game because this bubble-gummy, pop star style that they have as an integral part of the game. It wouldn't be bad by itself, but is dissapointing because that style is practically the polar opposite of the style in both of the series'.

Re: Talking Point: Raw Power Isn't Vital to Nintendo's NX, But It Does Matter

@Aromaiden Ah I understand better know. I think what I'm trying to say is that all the companies have done it, but Nintendo is the only major developer doing it now. From watching MicroSony's presentations, I can tell they are really trying to put out quality games for their fans. From watching Nintendo's, well, let's just say they better be hard at work making games for the NX...

@Aromaiden It's pretty sad, but I have to agree with @AVahne. Nintendo's performance at E3 this year further clarifies what Nintendo is interested in: Making money. They tried to push cheap, poorly made, dumbed-down versions of the games we actually want, just to make an easy buck. The reason Sony's presentation was so good was because they gave fans exactly what they wanted and more, instead of stupid worthless crap.

No no no. Nintendo needs to build its audience on core gamers who will keep coming back because they trust Nintendo's brand quality. If they try to win the audience of people who are content with ipad apps, they will most likely fail. Even if they succeed, this sets Nintendo up with basically becoming a mobile game developer. Since their audience is the casual crowd, they will need to make games that appeal to them, and thus they will loose even more notoriety and respect from the gaming community.

Re: Rumour: Nintendo NX Won't Be As Powerful As PlayStation 4

With the Wii U, Ninty tried to have it all: the casual crowd and the hardcore gamers. However, to appeal to the casual crowd they made it weak and cheap, but in doing so, they lost 3rd party support and thus the hardcore gamers. They also didn't realize that casual gamers aren't in tune with the market, and also don't care about graphical upgrades or additional gimmicks. This paired with the bad advertising resulted in the Wii U being ignored by the casuals. Only the core Nintendo fans have held on, which is why the Wii U failed. If the NX is a home console and these rumor are true, the NX better have a mind-blowing gimmick, or it will fail.

Re: Fire Emblem Fates Birthright Edition Is The Popular Choice In Japan

@Fath The weapon system now isn't just the same weapons without the durability # on the side; now every weapon has its strengths and weaknesses. Wanna destroy someone with your silver sword? Well its powerful but it will lower your defense and leave you vulnerable. This new system adds a lot more strategy than having you weapon break from time to time. And yes, giving players the choice to f*ck their siblings is crossing the line.

@Kaze_Memaryu It's funny, your issues with it are selling points to me. I'm really glad they got rid of weapon durability, because in Awakening, you had infinite money and thus it was only a minor inconvenience sometimes during a stage. It wasn't like in 7 where they were only so many shops and you had to ration your weapon use. Character designs are subjective, but I happen to love them, and the split is just the way the story is, and we shouldn't judge it wholly from the trailers and stuff.

Now the things I'm afraid of are the dating sim, making your own town, taking people's clothes off, the bath house, and rubbing peoples faces while the say questionable things to you, such as "...What would mother say?"-your in game brother!
