@Five-seveN Ah, a rebuttal. Without any insults! I must respond.
Yes, gameplay over graphics, but for a 10 it should be at least up to par with what the console offers, which this doesn't.
There are other aspects which feel dated, for example annoying backtracking and the infamous side/backwards-jump aspect of the game (which made speedruns so much faster_
And Master Quest I would argue is cheap due to, as I said, trial-and-error and poor level design amongst other things, but hey if you enjoyed it more then me (which I actually did) that's great.
Also, I have yet to even glance at the leaderboards TBH, gotta get all those Platinum medals.
1/2 (tied). Fire Emblem: Awakening/Kid Icarus Uprising (both are sucking up or going to suck up over 100 hours) 3. Tales of the Abyss (Avoiding ports is something I try to do, but this one is a rare game anyways) 4. Resident Evil: Revelations 5. Super Mario 3D Land (not sure, might be something else like Professor Layton)
Regardless of what they put in their EULA, the legal risks of bricking a console through an update is pretty risky.
The Wii only got bricked if you did something downright idiotic like delete necessary IOS's or something, never through updates. And Sony did brick through updates. You know what happened? Class action lawsuits.
Comparing pirates to those who find exploits (who are typically for homebrew only) is like blaming the man who first cultivated marijuana for every hardcore drug addict.
I don't support piracy, but I hope to god that all of you payed for every single album you've ever listened to.
@CasuallyDressed Piracy is wrong, but it isn't comparable to stealing a Ferrari. In one case, a physical product is being taken. The other case is not.
@Shane904 That would be great if the Games N Music didn't suck complete balls. Same with Action Replay or any other Datel product.
@ThomasBW84 They can't just brick your system through an update no matter what they say. There are several legal problems with that (considering you purchased the 3DS and all). What they can do IIRC basically amounts to kicking you off of online games and a dead warranty.
@StephenKelly180 If you'd like to hear what the developer had to say, here it is (they're banned from the site)
" The review on Nintendolife is catatonic! How can one compare a DSiWare game with Nintendo Wii Sports?! He wrote that it is a mistake that Dodgeball is played with buttons not stylus? But did not explained how? How you can control a character with stylus in 3D with movement, running, dodging, jumping together with throwing balls at the same time? It is not possible to do with stylus Mr. Kelly! You should think about what you write next time. It seems this guy is a greenhorn and need more experience reviewing games..."
@LzQuacker When does it start to get harmful? I'd say it already has unrelated.
Watching a game is free promotion. Any idiot with a guide could easily pirate the Wii/DS games he is watching being played. That's not going to promote it.
If we were talking about something like Dolphin videos, I'd say it's fair by a TINY BIT. At this stage, bullcrap.
If this was any other company, most of you wouldn't say a damn word.
This is a terrible move and a pimp hand to the face of many who made their games more appealing. How the flying love could this be harmful in the least? Watching a game get played with commentary is not even close to the same as playing it yourself (which is why I don't watch LPs).
@doctor_doak I think it's a better life to develop apps and make a few quick bucks, then complaining about people trying to make a few quick bucks by developing apps.
I need to try this. I wanna see if it's good without pre-judgements.
After about 2 hours, I can say this is my second-favorite below $10 (at 4 bucks) purchase, beaten only by the PSP 1000. Great game, pretty massive, just wish they polished the graphics better.
-Certain aspects are graphically unpolished. Compare to SF643D which is much more updated.
-Not all aspects of the game have dated well. For example, the hover boots control like a drunk driver.
-If it's okay to judge by today's time, Master Quest is loaded with obnoxious trial-and-error and cheap bits.
@Optimist_Prime You know what would make the Pokedex more appealing? If you could open it without having to suspend your game if it was Pokemon related. Not my idea since i'm not a Pokemon fan but that actually sounds logical.
It seems Capcom and Aksys understand what Nintendo does not. Why the flying f*** would you get Pilotwings for $40 when you can get RE: Rev for $20 or BTS for $15?
Though, a decent point, should they lower the price of Mercenaries now?

Re: Harmonix Co-founder - Rock Band ‘Something We’ll Return To’
Rock Band was a fantastic series, bit I see no need for a revival.
I think American Pie made a fantastic ending.

Mine thus far.

Re: Flipnote Studio 3D to Hit North America Early August, Subscription Pricing Revealed
People fail to realize, it's not 99 cents unlimited, we don't know the details yet.
If, for example, we're given 5 coins every month to rate/download flipnotes, that's a BS deal.
Re: Evidence of a Functional 3DS Flashcard Emerges
@thepitt I don't see crap

@net34a Piracy, not hacking consoles.

Re: Evidence of a Functional 3DS Flashcard Emerges
@OptometristLime If they could legally, they would. If they do it, chances are there will be repercussions, mainly a lot of lawsuits.
Re: Review: Groove Heaven (3DS eShop)
So based on both review and comments, I should assume this game has no appeal to people who play lots of rhythm games already.

@Zaphod_Beeblebrox Not legal.
Anyways, this was done before. Time will tell the truth though (or actually, let's just check GBATemp...)
And typically, all fake ones have been piracy only, no homebrew.
Re: Review: Groove Heaven (3DS eShop)
@KongFu In The Groove, Rock Band, Stepmania, etc;
Re: Review: California Super Sports (DSiWare)
Note that I have not bothered to play this game so I do not know if these problems with the review are true or not.

How about a 3D 99Bullets?
That vector style in 3D gameplay = awesome.
Re: Silicon Studio Near "Maximum Performance" With Wii U, 3DS Hardware
Does full power mean no 3D? That's a heavy power consumer.
Re: Thomas Was Alone Creator Responds To Nintendo Claiming "Let's Play" Video Revenue
@LzQuacker And I don't agree with either.
However, with keyboard cat, all there is to it is a video.
Watching a video isn't even remotely close to playing a game.
As a Non-brony, look at how Hasbro treats all the fan videos. They don't think "LAWSUIT!", they treat it as free publicity.
When they upload full episodes, I assume they're taken down. That's more equivalent to an ISO uploading however.

Re: Weirdness: Own The Manual To ClayFighter Sculptor's Cut? You Could Be Sitting On A Grand
Right now, I'm still wondering who the f**k thought it was a brilliant idea to make a store-exclusive, rental only game.
Re: Nyan Cat, Keyboard Cat Meme Creators Suing Over Appearance in Scribblenauts
I have no respect for gaming lawsuits solely due to Konami vs. Roxor.
Thus, you can burn in hell for all I care Torres.
Re: Nintendo Download: 2nd May 2013 (North America)
Got Fluidity yesterday, getting Marvel Pinball 3D now.
Re: Review: Color Commando (DSiWare)
@HugoSmits No space limit on 3DSWare shop - so what can we expect of graphics and content?
Also this is probably my favorite GGG game, but I'm a sucker for no jump platformers like Bionic Commando. Also, it's tough as hell.

Awful? I thought the game looks pretty decent, especially with the low standards I have for games on my Android.
Re: Nintendo of Europe Offers Free Game in "So Many Games!" Promotion
@Matthew94 No, they mean it's tied to your 3DS. You can re-download it.

We must get this in the effing States. WE MUST.

Re: Surprise Discounts Hit the 3DS eShop in North America
@Optimist_Prime $10 for a Pokedex is pretty damn pricey considering the internet has you covered for the most part.
Re: Surprise Discounts Hit the 3DS eShop in North America
I see $4.99, and seriously people, Order Up may be the only worthwhile game (even though I'm downloading Mahjong)
Re: Surprise Discounts Hit the 3DS eShop in North America
Order Up is the best f**king cooking sim ever made. Besides that... I gotta take advantage of this sale SOMEHOW :/
