Re: Review: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D (3DS)

@Five-seveN Ah, a rebuttal. Without any insults! I must respond.

Yes, gameplay over graphics, but for a 10 it should be at least up to par with what the console offers, which this doesn't.

There are other aspects which feel dated, for example annoying backtracking and the infamous side/backwards-jump aspect of the game (which made speedruns so much faster_

And Master Quest I would argue is cheap due to, as I said, trial-and-error and poor level design amongst other things, but hey if you enjoyed it more then me (which I actually did) that's great.

Also, I have yet to even glance at the leaderboards TBH, gotta get all those Platinum medals.

Mine thus far.

1/2 (tied). Fire Emblem: Awakening/Kid Icarus Uprising (both are sucking up or going to suck up over 100 hours)
3. Tales of the Abyss (Avoiding ports is something I try to do, but this one is a rare game anyways)
4. Resident Evil: Revelations
5. Super Mario 3D Land (not sure, might be something else like Professor Layton)

Re: Evidence of a Functional 3DS Flashcard Emerges

Regardless of what they put in their EULA, the legal risks of bricking a console through an update is pretty risky.

The Wii only got bricked if you did something downright idiotic like delete necessary IOS's or something, never through updates.
And Sony did brick through updates. You know what happened? Class action lawsuits.

I don't support piracy, but I hope to god that all of you payed for every single album you've ever listened to.

@CasuallyDressed Piracy is wrong, but it isn't comparable to stealing a Ferrari. In one case, a physical product is being taken. The other case is not.

@Shane904 That would be great if the Games N Music didn't suck complete balls. Same with Action Replay or any other Datel product.

@ThomasBW84 They can't just brick your system through an update no matter what they say. There are several legal problems with that (considering you purchased the 3DS and all). What they can do IIRC basically amounts to kicking you off of online games and a dead warranty.

Re: Review: California Super Sports (DSiWare)

@StephenKelly180 If you'd like to hear what the developer had to say, here it is (they're banned from the site)

" The review on Nintendolife is catatonic! How can one compare a DSiWare game with Nintendo Wii Sports?! He wrote that it is a mistake that Dodgeball is played with buttons not stylus? But did not explained how? How you can control a character with stylus in 3D with movement, running, dodging, jumping together with throwing balls at the same time? It is not possible to do with stylus Mr. Kelly! You should think about what you write next time. It seems this guy is a greenhorn and need more experience reviewing games..."

Re: Thomas Was Alone Creator Responds To Nintendo Claiming "Let's Play" Video Revenue

@LzQuacker And I don't agree with either.

However, with keyboard cat, all there is to it is a video.

Watching a video isn't even remotely close to playing a game.

As a Non-brony, look at how Hasbro treats all the fan videos. They don't think "LAWSUIT!", they treat it as free publicity.

When they upload full episodes, I assume they're taken down. That's more equivalent to an ISO uploading however.

Re: Review: Color Commando (DSiWare)

rayword45

@HugoSmits No space limit on 3DSWare shop - so what can we expect of graphics and content?

Also this is probably my favorite GGG game, but I'm a sucker for no jump platformers like Bionic Commando. Also, it's tough as hell.

After about 2 hours, I can say this is my second-favorite below $10 (at 4 bucks) purchase, beaten only by the PSP 1000. Great game, pretty massive, just wish they polished the graphics better.

Re: Review: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D (3DS)

Nope, still can't see a 10/10

-Certain aspects are graphically unpolished. Compare to SF643D which is much more updated.
-Not all aspects of the game have dated well. For example, the hover boots control like a drunk driver.
-If it's okay to judge by today's time, Master Quest is loaded with obnoxious trial-and-error and cheap bits.
