This announcement is cool...I always like having options other than PC. Hoping for a PSN announcement next, though.

My favorite video of his is for Castlevania II, opening with a melancholic "This game sucks." Like haiku, it brilliantly summed up the whole experience while saying very little.

It's cool for the fans but I lost interest in his work 2 years ago and then lost respect for him.

@SilentHunter382 Yes, he stopped being funny like 4 years ago, fecal matter jokes now are boring and tedious.

This is a man who pretty much screwed his career by himself: overusing the avgn to the point that now the show isn't funny anymore, then his kickstarter campaigns fiasco where he received MUCH MORE money than he originally needed to fund his avgn movie and all the fanboys claim will be used for it (yeah, sure, and the catholic church will give all its money to africa), then all the horrible and talentless videos that pedophile Mike matei uploads all the time on his channel (specially his reviews of MIMEYCRAFTA and elmo in grouchland), then another fiasco came in the form of the cheetahmen kickstarter with that old fraud greg pabich and when matei chickened out saying they didn't know what they were getting into (rolfe made money by signing limited carts of this, so yeah, totally unaware....), then AVGN MOVIE will be premiered in 2018 by the looks of it and now this.....
Sorry Rolfe, but I like my money in my pocket rather than wasting it..... (and I know some fanboys will disagree with me, but meh....)

On a lighter note the game seems promising. Might download it if the price is right.

This game feels just... weird. It's not like he's selling out to the industry he criticises, neither that he will have the means to make the game rock. The game will be just another plataformer.

What I really want to see is the full Nintendo approval proccess, and how the game will turn out. Not sure if I want to spend more than 1 buck for it. Maybe it could work better for iPhone.

I HOPE he puts up his theme song on the title screen. I think that alone will get the M rating. ;D

I still enjoy AVGN. Even if you mentally "white noise" out the swearing and offensive references, so that you ignore it completely, it's still a good and enjoyable show to watch.

Saying that it only appeals to people who laugh at someone who swears and makes offensive references is not true.

Now the satire reviewer that does quite annoy me is Zero Punctuation. He really rubs me up the wrong way.

Been a AVGN for years now. I do agree the latest episode aren't the greatest but I mean he is working on a movie so you can't blame him. Hopefully Mike isn't in it he ruined AVGN for me he's alright but his jokes are downright stupid.

This is awesome, a definite buy for me. The dude's provided us with hours of entertainment for free...he's got my support.

@SirQuincealot: If it can release on PC no problem, it's highly unlikely that a PSN release would be undoable. You'd be surprised what Nintendo references can sneak in on other platforms, really...the 360 version of Banjo-Kazooie didn't even edit the Game Boy out of the file select screen.

@Stuffgamer1 that's mainly because they didn't do any model editing. they enhanced some textures, edited the text, removed the N64 logo, added XBLA features, like leaderboards and the like, and used coding to ensure nothing switched to its low-poly model. Other than that, no models were edited, as far as I can tell.

The Nerd himself must've insisted on it, considering how ScrewAttack wears their disdain for Nintendo on their sleeves. Definately wasn't expecting this on Nintendo platforms, but I'm glad it'll be available to those fans, of whom I suspect make up a large portion of the AVGN's fan base. Also, when's the movie going to be released? I feel like it was in its "final stages" for a while now.

was NOT expecting it on Nintendo consoles. i watch his videos, but not for him though. i mainly watch them for the games he decides to play. personally, i don't think his jokes are that funny, and as i said before, i only watch his videos for the games he plays. might pick this up though.

Eh. I'll wait for the Nostalgia Critic, RinryGameGame, Little Miss Gamer and Game Grumps games.

I'm a fan of the AVGN and I'm glad this game is coming to the Nintendo consoles. I don't like AVGN that much when he is cursing like crazy. So I hope that that won't be a big part of the game.

I like watching AVGN, but im going to be honest. The gameplay video looks like the game sucks. The level design is uninteresting.
And some graphics looks meh.
I hope the final product will be much better.

I've learned a lot about video game history watching AVGN. I prefer his later ones that are mostly just commentary and don't have some gimmick (like friday the 13th).

So the Nerd has his own game on a Nintendo console...

They should make an NES version that plays on an actual NES! Then James can review it.

@allav866: I know WHY it's still in there, from a technical standpoint. But the fact remains that Nintendo allowed them to release it in that state. Probably wouldn't have been too hard to edit if it had really been necessary.

Eh, not really a fan of "The Nerd"/AVGN. Too much swearing, negativity, sick jokes, as well as sick characters; the pickle, the blasphemous Christ/godzilla/mech-mash-up character, which to me, is highly more offensive than the pickle, or the swearing. But, it's all pretty offensive, & obnoxious to me. The theatrics can be a bit corny at times, & funny at other, but it is satire. Then there are the controversies/debates over whether Rolfe, &/or crew intentionally lied about causes they asked for money for from their fans.

Again, I'm not really a fan, but to me, Rolfe does better, when he's in a video he's made, as himself, talking like a human being, about his perspectives of gaming, his memories of Sonic, Mortal Kombat, & the bit-wars between Nintendo, & Sega; stuff like that. As for when he's "The Nerd", I think he does better, when he basically just does the gameplay, talks about it, while doing so, & brings up legitimate issues w/ said game(s). Or like when he talks his audience through how he goes about making an episode; again stuff like that.

As a Christian gamer, & even probably if I wasn't a Christian, I'd probably be the same towards "The Nerd", & Rolfe as I am now: meaning I really wouldn't be a fan of the man, or his created character. Obviously, everyone is entitled to their opinions, but that's just mine.

The pre-release gameplay looks alright, I suppose. Though, I do get a feeling of the game trying to be risque, w/ the blood/etc., which to me, kinda falls in the same category as using sexual imagery in a game to sell it ~ tacky. It(the gameplay trailer on gametrailers) also reminds me of something else I am not a fan of - Aqua Teen Force. I seriously hope that if the game gets a mature rating, for the blood/etc., that Nintendo will not try to parade the game as a mature title, for the sake of attempting to capture possible consumers, who will buy a game, just b/c it's m rated.

Lastly, & this is a side note: Maybe it's just me, but does it feel like in the last 7-8yrs., specifically the last 5, that more, & more personalities are appearing on Youtube? BlackNerdComedy, BrentalFloss, NostalgiaCritic, NostalgiaChick, Game Grumps, Egoraptor, Nerdy Nummies, etc.

An adult watching kids movies to make fun of them from an adult perspective for other adults is pretty much what these internet movie reviewers do. I didn't see anything worse than a typical South Park episode.
