After years of mocking PS for their "Arrogant Sony" PS days it really has gone to the point where I have to declare it is now "Arrogant Nintendo". The direction the company is going down with limited releases is utterly appalling. Do I buy this? No, I'll replay Shadow Dragon on my DS and give Nintendo the middle finger for their anti consumer practices.
I imagine it will come with the DLC included. A very good little game. Can see why Bithell went onto more great things with Volume and John Wick Hex. This game has solid level design wrapped up in a minimalist package. Very good game.
An absolutely fantastic game. Captures the spirit of John Wick without being another predicable shooter. The graphics aren't the best but the gameplay is absolutely fantastic and that's where it matters. Highly recommended.
I mean... It makes sense to stop people just buying the older version and downloading the DLC separately, but still that's a little much. I was going to get the other version with all DLC for Xmas but now I'm thinking I'll wait a bit and see if the price drops a bit later on.
I find the catch up isn't due to rubber banding but down to the high speed gain to be made in slipstreaming. Sometimes I'll save my boost and sit in 3-4 place in the pack waiting for the slipstream boost combination to win on expert. The handling is tricky enough to not make it a walkover but easy enough to get a good handling after an hour's play. Very enjoyable fun
@Wexter Oh yes I don't mean that glitch, I worked around that on the Isle of Armour just fine. I meant the act of putting Pokémon onto Pokémon home and the exchange function being filled with impossible trade requests that clog the whole system up. With more specific Pokémon to trade with legendaries, it's going to be much harder as the actual Pokémon Home app is borderline unusable in my opinion.
Looks good. Very hyped. It'll be very tricky to trade legendaries though considering how many seem locked behind in each version (if the brief glimpse in the video is to be believed). Pokémon Home is still useless to use so my full Pokédex is likely to be tough to complete. But that's me whining, the new location looks cool and I'm happy it's still releasing this year after all that's happened.
What next.... A second expansion pass or will we see the new Pokémon game teased soon?
Sunshine is a good game, but better than Mario 64 and Mario Galaxy?! What have you been smoking?! Lol I'll agree Sunshine is underrated but it's not the forgotten Mario gem that everyone seems to make it out to be. Looking forward to people finding that out for themselves in the next few weeks.
I justified my outrage and pre-order like this: I shall get this game, as I've been looking forward to it and want it. Regardless of Nintendo's practice here. HOWEVER I shall protest against this by not purchasing any "on the fence" purchases of Nintendo games. So I'll be missing out on the new Hyrule Warriors and I won't be picking up The Origami King anytime soon either, so I still hit Nintendo's wallet for the ******* practice, but in an indirect way.
Seriously **** Nintendo. Been waiting for the remasters since the rumour from the start of the year and now I have to worry about getting a physical copy because they're limited?!?! Times like this I really do hate the fact Nintendo make such good games because they employ practices that make EA and Activision look like saints sometimes. Not impressed. What a way for them to take the wind out of my sails with the announcement.
This really is a poor game. Compared to Heave Ho which has a similar gameplay concept but none of the deliberate control limitations. The art style and music in struggling are good, but it's just not even remotely fun to play. The noises the head makes get irritating over time and I uninstalled it once I'd finished it never to play again. I'd go as far to say it's a 2/10 game and an avoid. A sad start to the Frontier Developments publishing arm
What a bittersweet moment this is. A great game but the last of the Sega Ages titles on Switch. The releases the last couple of years has given me so many gaming hours. I'm still gutted they're not doing any more.
I have this on Xbox with all three DLC. It's really very good. The campaign mode is lengthy and decent. Fully voiced and has a sort of story. 2 of the 3 DLC's are passable but the newest one Return to Jurassic Park was absolutely amazing. Essentially a sequel to the first film you rebuild the original park back up again. Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Goldblum are all back too (bless Attenborough's Soul).
Later updates such as Challenge mode will be included so it's really great. DLC's cost around £10 each so for it all to be there with the base game is a bargain. I felt the reviews on this at launch were far far too harsh. Much better than Jurassic Park Operation Genesis or Zoo Tycoon Dinosaur Digs for comparison.
@Cosats Considering the game is set on the Isle of Man and surrounding areas which use MPH as opposed to KPH it's fair enough that it's the measurement of choice for the game. Since that reflects the locale of the game more accurately.
Where did the Good life go?!?! I was hoping for that Swery game this year at some point. From what's there, Axiom Verge 2, Last Campfire, Olija, Card Shark and Grindstone are my planned purchases.
@Dromosus The best conmen are often the most well spoken. It comes across as an Ori knock off. If they spent the time and money on creating something original rather than their flashy presentation there may be something worthwhile. As it is, it's a slur on the name of Indie games.
I look forward to Moon Studio's lawyers on this one. It looks like a Christmas knock off of Ori. The comment about it being "4 years in the making" implies they started it just after Ori 1 came out. A heartfelt story in the woods, platforming controls with abilities, the main character looks like Ori... I'm steering clear and shame on the developers.
That is quite pathetic. Not sure what's worse... That Nintendo feel the need to erase nipples or a parent out there is worried their child might see something completely natural. It's a mental world these days...
I get the film estate defending the IP, that said there has been no Bond game for close a decade with 007 Legends the last one I can remember in 2012. Maybe they should start to think about developing more Bond games if they're going to stop others playing fan remakes.
I have to admit I've loved my time with Sword. I haven't played one since the Diamond One on DS but gave Sword a go and loved it. Since then I've gone back to play Ultra sun and X as well.
I see why some disliked the more streamlined approach but it was so much more fun for me to actually play. No randomised battles... sign me up. Looking forward to the Crown Tundra when it comes out!
I love the care Digital Eclipse put into their releases. I'm getting this on the strength of their past ones alone. I loved the SNK anniversary collection.
@Uwii Definitely. Once it was pointed out, I also can't see it any other way now... Its clearly an angry vagina... However I was so hyped to play the game I just missed it completely. As someone else here pointed out, the white line on the left of the image is also something I can't unsee.
@Uwii Yes I'm well aware of the sexual and phallic nature of H R Gigers works. I'm a big fan of them. Was simply that I just didn't make the jump when I saw the screen image (probably because I only see it for a few seconds before launching the game anyway) The new logo does look better anyway I have to say
I honestly never even saw it until it was pointed out just now. I thought it looked like a facehugger from alien but done Carrion style.
Can see why it was ultimately changed but not as bad as people are saying.
Edit: since everyone keeps commenting I am yes, fully aware that facehuggers are based on H R Gigers very sexualised work. My point stands. Everytime I see a facehugger I still don't instantly think of a vagina. I know that's what it's based on, but it's not the first thing my brain sees.
Just finishing up the final episode of Curse of the Moon 2. That game is difficult but most definitely rewarding. After that I hope to start Carrion as well
@judaspete Thanks for the info. I'll give it a miss then. Seems they took the existing port as an upgrade rather than working down from the PC version. Good for switch owners but disappointing for me. Thanks again
Can anyone confirm if this has all the levels of the PC version? The previous port cut out a flying level. I was wondering if this version puts the level back in, or it's still missing the level? Information here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Is this not already available under the Arcade Classics Anniversary Collection from Konami? You can definitely switch to Gracious with the Japanese version patch. I've definitely played this on switch already. Also the Arcade Anniversary Collection comes with Salamander, Gradius 2 and a couple of other nice titles. I'd check that out before this singular release people
@DK-Fan The point being it's already been ported... Several years ago for a cheaper price tag with what looks like exactly the same graphics. I see no difference between the screenshots for the "Remastered" version and the one I paid £16 (£10 cheaper) on PS3 around 6-8 years ago. I get the portability of switch being a bonus, but that doesn't mean we should let companies get away with taking the piss out of us.
I nearly spat my drink from my mouth when I read that price point! £26?!?! The game contains no Warhead expansion, isn't that significant an upgrade from the PS3 port, is a decade old game and they're charging £26! Pull the other one Crytek.
I own all three current consoles so have an unbiased opinion. For 60fps the switch would struggle for sure... The sequel improves upon the original in every way, but it certainly requires the extra power to maintain its 60FPS.
That said, even at 30FPS the game would well and truly be worth playing still so I hope it comes to switch still. Its my game of 2020 so far so the more people that play it the better.
One of the games I never ever thought I'd see announced. Best bit of gaming news for weeks. I'm more stoked for New Pokémon Snap than any of the PS5 reveals. The first one is something I still dig out and play every couple of years just to try and beat my scores in the gallery.
I nearly bought the wrong pass myself. Its been months since I played Sword, and my brother owns Shield. I kept on talking with him about Shield so when I went to buy the pass I had to stop and check my box to see what version I had. Obviously if I didn't check, I'd have been an idiot but I certainly can see how easy it is to get confused. Especially if purchasing on the behalf of someone else. Nintendo should have locked the purchase through the game itself alone as a solution or have an extra page of warning at the time of purchase (rather than just bold text on the store page)
@FuseBlues That's true. The Sony one was definitely worse. I still would like to see Nintendo take a more proactive approach in turning the situation around still. I certainly have spent less on the eshop as a result of all this news and bought more games on Xbox. Consumer confidence is a big thing

So one imagines the game has been pulled until the game is fixed/patched. The alternative of leaving the game for sale when it is literally unfinishable for many people is obviously not an option.
Fingers crossed it does come back sooner rather than later. And here's hoping I won't have to start again from scratch.

Played them all 100%. Mario DS and Sunshine were my weakest with Galaxy 1+2 with 64 getting my 10/10
Re: Poll: Super Mario 3D All-Stars Is One Week Away - Which Game Will You Play First?
64 - Sunshine - Galaxy in that order. Only moving on after getting all 120 stars and shines.
