I remember owning Wave Race on my Gameboy Pocket, when I was a kid. It was such a simple game but still ended up being one of my most played titles. Sadly, I never owned the N64 or Gamecube versions.
Maybe Club Nintendo could offer Wave Race 64 as the next game reward to prepare us for the possibility of Wave Race 3DS or Wave Race WiiU.
Starfox 64 is still one of my all-time favorite games. I played it for numerous hours on the N64 and now I play it for numerous hours on the 3DS. I'd love a new game in the series.
Psychonauts was one of the most original and fun games I have ever played. No exaggeration. Also, this game looks pretty cool. I can't wait to hear more about it.
He should let the team making Epic Mickey for the 3DS make a DuckTales game. They seem to be doing the right thing. Where as Epic Mickey for the Wii was just a mess. And I agree, please Capcom bring the old DuckTales games to VC and while you're at it bring all of your old Disney games to VC.
I personally don't understand the obsession with violence in video games. It seems like you're not considered a hardcore gamer unless you are playing something ultra-violent. I know plenty of hardcore games that have little to no violence. I don't necessarily want everything to be sunshine and rainbows but it does seem like the industry is a little over saturated with violent games at the moment.
I just beat this game yesterday. It's the first Zelda I have actually started AND finished. I loved every minute of it. There was so much charm and love put into it. Thank you, Nintendo, for making this part of the Ambassador's games. Please, make a new 2D game like this for the 3DS. That would be awesome!!
This is horrible news! I've been a subscriber the majority of my life and still a subscriber today. I love Nintendo Power! I like the physical magazine being sent to my home, and racing through it to briefly scan all of the goodies inside, and then taking my time over the month to really devour all of the articles. You will be greatly missed.
I didn't catch it either and I probably reread the screen capture five times before finally seeing it. Weird how our minds can play tricks on us, even if they're helpful tricks by editing mistakes. Well, now we all know what the first DLC will be for NSMB2.
NSMB2 so far has some pretty awesome and unique level designs. The game actually feels quite "new", honestly. I am at least really enjoying it. Thanks Nintendo.
Seriously, if you haven't downloaded Mario's Picross yet, you really really should! It is fantastic and still one of my most played games on my 3DS, competing with Zelda Minish Cap, Kid Icarus Uprising, Mario Kart 7, and Star Fox 64.
Honestly, I just played a 2 hour marathon of twelve events on Mario & Sonic Olympics with my boyfriend Saturday night. We kept track of our scores and tallied them up at the end. It was by far the best time I've had with that game yet. I think we both had a craving for the Olympics and Mario & Sonic definitely satiated it.
Seriously, I have been playing sooo much Mario's Picross since I got it on sale this past weekend. It is an AWESOME game. Oh, and I already have all four games but keep the sales coming Nintendo!
I know this isn't really the point but I'm going to download it just for the fact that it's better for the environment. I don't want Earth to end up how it does in Wall-E.
They should let you pick a VC game, even if it's only out of three or five different games. If they do this same promotion in NA, I already own Donkey Kong, as I imagine plenty of others do, as well. I like the idea of download. I wouldn't mind a price advantage, too. Why not make it $10 cheaper from the start. They're already saving money from no physical product cost and a percentage of the sale isn't going to some random store.
How long will it take for some idiot parent to complain and say that this is going to teach their kid to play with fire? My response is, "hey idiot parent, why don't you try teaching your kid right and wrong, instead of letting someone else do it, especially a videogame".
I love the 3D when it's done right. Some of the third party games have been very subpar and actually are the only times I've experienced eye fatigue or headaches. I think once companies become accustomed to it or don't just try to rake in some undeserved cash it can be absolutely beautiful and offer a deeper level of gameplay. Super Mario 3D Land, Mighty Switch Force, Mutant Mudds, Kid Icarus Uprising, Mario Kart 7, Pushmo, and Starfox 64 are excellent examples of this. Keep the great 3D games coming and if you're not willing to put in the effort to make it good then leave it out.
Seriously, anybody that doesn't buy Mighty Switch Force for $2.99 might need to have their skull checked to make sure their brain hasn't left for a vacation.
Seriously, I thought this game was crap at first, too. Then I read the instruction manual and tried playing it again. It actually plays really well and you have a lot of control over the ball. I'm actually having a lot of fun with this game now. Thanks Nintendo, from an ambassador.
I take my 3DS everywhere I go. Sometimes I get streetpasses at the oddest locations and this is in Dayton, OH. We're not a very big city but not the smallest either. I'm going to be going on a trip soon and I can't wait to see what kind of streetpasses I get at the airports.
Just fyi, I have gotten the most passes in a single day at festivals and going to the mall or Gamestops.
I agree with some of the minor complaints, like not being able to choose your game mode without the stylist. But, seriously, this game is a blast to play. Don't focus on the very small drawbacks for what really is an excellent game. It's only 5 bucks people. This game is way beyond worth it. Think of the high-quality you found in Mutant Mudds, that's the same you'll find here.
