Re: Review: Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games (Wii)

photofool83

I haven't played the other two. So, I don't have anything to compare it to but I have been having a lot of fun with this title. That is, of course, in between playing Skyward Sword, Rayman Origins, Super Mario 3D Land and Sonic Generations. Also, I fully agree with @XD375 why all the hate? Sega is making some great games at the moment.

Re: Charts: 5th December 2011 (UK)

photofool83

I disagree with ImDiggerDan. The game is easily 10/10 in my book and well worth the money. It's twelve bucks well spent. The game is carefully and creatively crafted. It has some of the most gorgeous graphics I've seen from a game and the gameplay is fantastic. It has the quality of Super Metroid but with its own unique charm. Support this game instead of the other crap found on DSiWare. We need more games like this. (Not all on DSiWare is crap but a lot of it is and I don't want to see the same happen to the 3DS.)

Re: Feature: The Best Games on GameCube and Wii

photofool83

My personal Wii list would also include:

Wario Land Shake It!!
A Boy and His Blob
Sonic Colors
Endless Ocean: Blue World
Kororinpa Marble Mania
Wii Party
House of the Dead Overkill
New Play Control: Pikmin
Kirby Return to Dreamland

I've had a great time with these games and most of the ones you've listed, especially New Super Mario Bros Wii, DKCR, and Wii Sports Resort!!!

Re: Talking Point: The Most Memorable Nintendo 64 Games

photofool83

Super Mario 64 has had the biggest wow factor for me so far from any game. I was 13 years old and saved up all of my change from lunch money to get it. The first time I popped it in to play my mind was blown. It was just utterly amazing to my 13 year old mind and I raced home each day from school to play it. There were so many great memories from my N64 and the games including, Mario Kart 64, Star Fox 64, Bomberman 64, Mario Party 3, Mischief Makers, Goldeneye, Pokemon Snap and many, many others. Thanks Nintendo!!

Re: Feature: Staff Memories of the Game Boy Advance

photofool83

@Sam_Loser2 I am a huge fan of Game & Watch Gallery 4, as well. I have almost everything unlocked. When I finally broke down and sold my GBA SP, I decided I couldn't part with my copy of G&W4. So I kept it. I might have to purchase another system just to be able to play it again. Or here's hoping to Nintendo releasing it on 3DS Virtual Console.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's 3DS Press Conference

photofool83

I would love to see WarioLand 5, a sequel to Legendary Starfy, a sequel to Ghost Trick, and virtual console copies of the original Shantae and the gameboy Kid Icarus. It would also be great to see some really creative use of the AR function. This is more of a 3DS wish list but to get back on topic, I believe the 3DS is going to be just fine. It is a wonderful system and will find the support it needs this holiday season. One last game to add to the wish list, please, oh please release an updated version of Gyromite. I played the crap out of that game as a kid.

Re: Iwata Resists Calls for Smartphone Games

photofool83

I fully agree with Iwata. Nintendo is a smart company and they will pull through this rough spot of not-so-great press. The 3DS rocks and will continue to rock because of the continued support Nintendo is showing it.

Re: Talking Point: The Great Nintendo 3DS Price Drop Debate

photofool83

@Magi I saw the Target promotion but that still had nothing to do with the price drop. Didn't anybody else expect the 3DS to be all over the Sunday ads yesterday? The official price drop was on Friday. I would have thought that that was a clear indication that we could have expected 3DS to be front page on most ads or at least somewhere in the ad. Both Target and Best Buy didn't even mention the 3DS at all. That's just so odd to me. I was very ready to take advantage of some sale that was going on yesterday, only to find nothing.

Re: Talking Point: The Great Nintendo 3DS Price Drop Debate

photofool83

@mushroomer I know the official price drop is in effect. My point was more the fact that it seems like retailers would want to promote the price drop any chance they got but that doesn't seem to be the case. $80 is a significant drop and I would want to be the first to tell customers and offer some kind of "buy 1 get 1 half off on games promotion" to go along with it. Basically, anything to get the consumer to shop at my store. The price drop was intended to help sell the 3DS. How is that going to happen if the common consumer doesn't know anything about it. I'm wondering if the retailers are pissed at Nintendo and are holding off with promoting the 3DS at this point.

Re: Walmart Already Selling 3DS for $169.99, But Be Quick

photofool83

I'm just happy that more people are buying the 3DS. It really is a great system and I want to see it have a tremendous amount of support. I downloaded Super Mario Land last night. I had an original Gameboy Pocket but never got the opportunity to play this game as a kid. It's awesome getting the chance to play a piece of Mario history I missed out on.

Re: Review: Wii Play: Motion (Wii)

photofool83

I agree with pntjr. This game deserves an 8 easily. It's a blast to play with a group of people. It also does a nice job of offering a wide range of skill level needed for the different games. This makes it perfect for a family gathering or with a group of friends. Very creative uses of the Wii Remote Plus. Personally, I am very happy to have this game in my collection.

Re: NES and Game Boy Advance Games Coming to 3DS Virtual Console

photofool83

I agree with some of the other comments on here. If Nintendo doesn't allow people to purchase these GBA games after this initial promotion I will not buy a 3DS. I just don't have the money right now to get one and typically I wait about a year anyways to let the bugs be worked out. The main thing that was drawing me to buy one was the Virtual Console. Now, Nintendo is saying I will be restricted from some of my all-time favorite games. I've always loved and supported you Nintendo but that's just crap. Don't get me wrong, I think it's a wonderful and generous promotion otherwise, except for that one detail. Honestly, I doubt there is a single launch-buyer that would complain that the games become available for sale after they get their copies for free. This is ridiculous. Very bad marketing.

Re: Sakurai "In Talks" to Bring Original Kid Icarus to 3DS

photofool83

This is EXCELLENT news!! I was hoping for a sequel in the style of Mega Man 9 & 10 but this would be awesome as well. I was just playing Kid Icarus last night on the Wii. It is by far one of the best classic NES games. And PLEASE release Myths and Monsters on VC for the 3DS. I would buy a 3DS just for that!!

Re: Features: 10 Sega Games We Want on 3DS

photofool83

I wanted to love Nights on the Wii but there were too many things getting in the way of that. I never had the chance to play it on the Dreamcast. So a non-rushed version for the 3DS, without the stages that you play as the kids, would be my choice. Seriously, Sega has so many great franchises. Let's see some more brought back with the same quality as Sonic Colors!! (Billy Hatcher was actually decent too.)

Re: A Kappa's Trail

photofool83

I purchased this game recently and must say, it's one of the best games I have encountered for the DS. So many different things to do and the main game play is just a blast!! Favorite DSiware purchase so far.

Re: Batman: The Brave and the Bold Vignette Unmasks the DS Version

photofool83

Well, crap, I was planning on getting the Wii version but this looks pretty great!! *Corbie, please review these because so far you seem to enjoy and appreciate the same type of games as I do. (Do Re Mi, Pop Island and Starfy were recent purchases made because of your recommendations. Also, I fully agree on A Boy and his Blob) Thanks for the great and accurate reviews!!
