The pricing on this makes no sense to me. 49.99 for the Switch 2 version or 39.99 for the Swicth 1 version, with a free upgrade to the Switch 2 edition.... I mean, I'm not going to complain as I picked up a "code in the box" version for cheap, but some people are definitley going to get swindled out of a tenner here...

Nintendo. I would pay real actual money for new tracks in Mario Kart 8. Don't even have to be new ones. Just throw in some from the older games. I have cash, credit card, "special" favours, all waiting for you.

I feel like I forget this sometimes and end up in normal mode malaise where I can't get past a section but instead of switching to easy (which would be "cheating") I just give up, or repeatedly butt heads with it and waste what little gaming time I have these days. So, I guess I'm off to dig out some of "those" games and give them a go on easy.

For anyone interested Amazon appear to have just dropped the pokeball plus edition of Let's Go Pikachu by £10 to £74.99. Personally tempted as I think my kids would love the catch mechanic with the pokeball and as much as I've written off Let's Go as just not for me, having not played a Pokemon game since Diamond I do fancy jumping back in as I absolutely loved Red back when it came out.

I loved Burnout Paradise on the PS3 and I'd be all for having it on the go but lack of analogue triggers of the Switch would probably put me off.

I'd list my current Switch games but then I'd have to admit to myself how much money I've dropped on this little box of gaming joy this year...

We're clearly just not going to get publishers going for the largest card. But I'd deem it a minimum requirement that the majority of the game was on the card and not the download not the other way round as 2K are doing it.

Personal opinion on this, I'm ok with additional downloads for large games assuming the dev/publisher has at least had the decency to put the physical game out on a 16gb card (obviously I'd prefer them to use the 32gb card but you've got to assume that they are significantly more expensive at present). If they've gone for the smallest card just to up their profit then I just can't get behind that sort of thing and will more than likely skip the game all together.

They could at least meet us half way and put the games on a 16gb card. Opting for the 8gb card just screams a lack of repect the consumer.

Amazon kindly delivered my copy today. So that's my evening sorted.

@Hughesy I vaguely remember Digital Foundry or Eurogamer writing about Criterion doing something along those lines when they dropped from 60 to 30fps with their move from Burnout to Need for Speed on ps3/360. Effectively the controller lag was only slightly more than a game running at 60fps.

Call me crazy but I like my game icons to look like box art and to, you know, actually include the name of the game. I'm willing to overlook Sonic Mania though because I've waited more than half my life for another good Sonic game...

Why I first heard the Nvidia were supplying the internals of the NX/Switch I thought to myself that it would be amazing if they included some of the Nvidia shield tech for in home streaming from my PC. I'd be all over something like this.

I wouldn't be surprised if its priced about pro controller level. I'd like another dock but I just know it'll end up being too expensive to justify when I could be spending the money on games, or food, but probably games....

I don't get the hate over this port. It's an imporved version of an already excellent game that was released on a system that not enough people bought. If you owned MK8 don't buy it, if you're not happy with the price don't buy it, if you hate ports don't buy it, but there will be potentially millions of gamers whom none of the above will apply and they are going to buy it and so they should it's the best version of possibly the best Mario Kart. As a side note I do own a WiiU and still have my copy of MK8 and I paid for the DLC and I still picked this up on Friday because now I can play it on the train, when I'm away, and when I'm the other side of apparently impenetrable wall from the TV. Personally I don't regret my purchase for a second.

The really question is how well it would protect my switch from a toddler?

I know that I for one shall be giving BOTW a good licking. How could I not, it's basically an additional challenge Nintendo have set us. I may even convince my 4 year old to give it a go, you know, for the lolz....

The fact that whether you enter a battle while using the circle pad or d-pad seems to determine whether the battle plays out in 3d or 2d has totally won me over for some reason. Just think that is a really cool quirk.

Seems like the perfect ad for SSB what with Nintendo's aim of the characters invading the real world courtesy of amiibos.

Last gen I own all 3 home consoles though I don't think I owned a single 1st party xbox exclusive. Draw your own conclusions from that. Now all I'm trying to juggle is the wii u, ps4, ps3, psvita, 3ds and a 18 month old.... Off-Tv and remote play have been a god send cause I can blast through a MK 8 gp while the wee one watches mickey mouse clubhouse.

Maybe with M2 involved we will actually see virtual console games released at a decent rate.
