if you havent played these games before get ready for a tough time. These games are not suited to the casual audience and offer only very high level play at the level of SSF2x.

You cant just jump in here, you have to learn how to use each character and the launches into air combos.

The most revolutionary thing that nintendo could do this time is leave the casual market behind and bring back controllers too. Anyone here saying that its too soon cant afford it or got the 3ds. This has to happen and will be a day 1 purchase for me of the american machine. Wont make the mistake i made with wii vc as 50hz is banned in my house.

Really hope it emulates the third party support of the snes as im 32 and am not ecstatic at the idea of mario games good as they are. Capcom, konami and sega on board and the machine will gain back the street credibility that nintendo has lost in the last 5 years. 3ds wont bring it back but this machine will.

Nintendo fans should be happy with the first party games. Always has been the strongest aspect. For most of the great third party games you really need another machine.

So roll on mario and zelda games that should keep you happy.

Nintendo is purely about sales now. Basically they are proud to point out that they are outselling other units and this is entirely down to the first party software and household names. Regardless of that I think that the other competitors offer more long term experiences as nintendo is operating at a quicker pace where the objective is make money make money....

This is very different to the values of nintendo before.

Good post number 13. Whenever games dont get released on WII they are rubbish. I think nintendo fanboys have become the worst recently and they are so defensive of the system, people should grow up, its only game after all. I have both a wii and a 360 and happily enjoy them both. To own just a wii though that would be painful, machine cant be defended at the moment.

I bet all members of staff have either a 360 or PS3 as well and play them more than the WII.

I really feel alienated with nintendo the way that they have been operating the last few years as they arent the nintendo I know anymore. Its just sales targets, sales targets, make new machines, profits and no love for the consumers anymore.

More and more of this is going to happen.

No game has ever taken a year to make thats on downloadable service so dont know what this guy is talking about.

Doesnt matter anyway as fanboys are going to pay whatever they charge. If you think think this is bad look at capcom with the dlc content prices for marvel vs capcom 3.

Blazblue is a very complex game so beginners will need patience. When playing against good people it really does show.

Good game although SSF4 is a better game.

I'm gonna take a pass on the 3ds I think.

Battery life is one thing but I don't wanna take any risks with my 33 year old eyes. I suffer from migraines once or twice a year and dont have confidence still that this machine will be safe on the eyes long term. Mine or Anybodys. I will wait it out for 6 months to see what the reports are. Certainly not letting my 4 year old daughter have one.

I'm gonna play it safe and wait for sonys machine. Don't think any other machines will be going down the 3d route.

Course it's gonna sell more than other units as a launch. Sales aren't a measure of quality though as the wii outsold the 360 and ps3.

Works out well for me when i get one later in the year.

good game super adventure island. Hope 2 comes out as that one was like the wonderboy, monsterworld games.

Excellent. Im able to run them on iphone.

Shinobi 1 and 2 on GG are excellent underrated games.

Also Outrun, wonderboy 3, ninja gaiden would be welcome.

Strange choice of sonic games though. Why not go for sonic 1 which is the best.

There is no reason for DKCR to be on there. Thats fanboyism itself to expect it to be there.

Nintendo has changed allot over the years. Next year I cant even imagine a game being on the list as they shift the focus to handhelds.

Exactly it will need a ton of content to justify a full retail price. The game was made by one man.

Ive got to be honest though. The recent games theyve put out have been well below par.

GBA is like the PS2, any category of games that you like there is a title out on it.

I went on a mad spending spree and the game prices are going up recently be warned.

Wii KOF collection is still glitchy. Horribly upscaled and KOF 98 has a game breaking sound bug in it.

If I get a replacement WII to fix my one that broke 3 times, im going with an american model on the cheap so I can get 60hz snk games.

Hardly suprising. All the talk of great christmas sales etc.

But the first and third party is not upto standard.

Xbox360 and PSN have great releases guaranteed to sell by the bucketload every month and a strong online community,

Wii has roughly 3 - 5 good first party games a year and the 3rd party support on the other hand is just ps2 games with motion controls.

With a virtual console destined to have 50hz. Id pay the extra money into importing an american model.

why are they bothering with these deca sports games. they are terrible.

This is a terrible version of bubble bobble. The bite does not work close range as its supposed too and jumping slows you down.

how long till you release the version with decent battery life.

I want in on the US 3DS than. Not touching a european model as they will mess up the virtual console again and there are some good JRPGS that will more than likely not get picked up by european distributors but will in america.

Great game. Hoping this year will be a strong one for VCA. Hoping that Street Fighter 2 champion edition comes out as it has my favourite colours for P2 side. Ryu in grey with the blue headband. Also some nasty redizzy combos can be done with M bison (Flying kick, jab light kick, standing medium kick, medium scissors kick, jab light kick, standing medium kick, scissors, jab light kick) and Guile has one too.

Still waiting for Super Hang On and more titles from Sega as well.

The PSP and Iphone version looks better than that.

Its games like this that put the Wii in the bracket that it is today. Japanese public (the core of the wii development etc) does not care one bit about games like this but in eu / america they are chart toppers.

And that isnt a good thing by the way.

Im a bit worried at how this game would run under the wii size limit anyway. Im staying away from that version and going for the XBLA.

I didnt even touch on the size restrictions in my post. Silly rules by nintendo which are just as bad as the 50hz travesty.

Microsoft are allowing small developers to use there platform and its easy to use and low costing. Youd be suprised the games that the PS3 (sony) turned down for release. Cave, SNK only till recently etc...

Time to get real guys. We all know that the WII is on its way out and the third parties all feel the same.

By this time next year I fully expect the sucessor of the WII to have some firm details announced but I still think it will have trouble competing with the PS3 and 360 who have all of the important third parties on board. Nintendo may hopefully have learned that it takes more than Mario, Donkey Kong, Metroid, Zelda to win the console wars these days.

The 3DS will fill the void in some ways but I prefer gaming at home on a decent sound system with a large 32 inch image. The 3DS will keep the casual gaming market happy but not serious gamers.

Wii still has the good exclusives like the konami rebirth series so I wouldnt get too upset.

Funny ive noticed that in france, spain, portugal people dont mind 50hz at all. This comes from playing allot of the King of Fighters players.

Just look at Ikaruga on GC, a hardcore game clearly not suited to the casual gamer yet released as a 50hz (casual) version for europe

Perhaps we are just a small island to nintendo.

I would have got Karnovs Revenge if its 60hz.

Nice little fighting game with good 2 in ones.

Have the saturn version.

Cant see how anyone would buy a DS when the 3DS is out soon.
