I haven't been THIS hyped for a game for a long time. I never played the original, so I didn't know what to expect. But while playing the global test ride, I was so hooked, I haven't enjoyed a game this much since the Wii days. I can definitely see myself putting hundreds of hours into this game, probably surpassing my playtime in Mario Kart World after one week haha

@VoidofLight I feel the same. I was kinda hopeful, that the next entry will return to its roots, but with this update, Nintendo makes it really clear, which direction Animal Crossing is going now. I hope I'm wrong.

Both Galaxy games make me motion sick unfortunately, but even if they didn't, I would not pay those prices to get the games. 50€ maximum for both would be acceptable, but 70€? That's too expensive for upscaled Wii Ports, even if they have some QoL features.

@PikminMarioKirby I know right? I would be so happy about another AC OST, since the one in New Horizons is my least favorite. It has some really nice tracks, like Mystery Island theme or from the fishing tournament, but the hourly music from the other games are better imo.

I sometimes use it, but not regularly. I still prefer Nintendo music mixes on YouTube.

@Cakefish Thank you! Yeah that sucks, now that the Switch 2 exists, you would expect that games like these get enhanced versions. I don't have any other platforms than Switch 2, so I guess I have to buy this version and hope there will be an update in the future. If this keeps happening with other games I'm looking forward to, I'm considering buying a PS5 lol

I hope for a Field of Mistria Switch (2) announcement and Witchbrook release date

@Samalik @Cakefish the official Japanese website mentions, that the game runs only 30fps on the Switch version. No mention of enhanced Switch 2 performance, so unfortunately I'm assuming it will also run at 30 fps on Switch 2.

As someone who primarily plays physical games, I have never really had the need for these vouchers. But I guess they were useful for people who buy mainly digitally. I wonder if Nintendo will introduce a replacement program now that both the gold points and vouchers will be gone

Around 30, would have been more, when the online mode would’ve been better. I love the game and its mechanics, it definitely has the potential. But as of right now, Nintendo needs to improve the online VS mode, in order for me to get more interested again.

My biggest wish for this game is an option to turn off the jamboree partner. After playing dozens of rounds, all my friends agree with me, that the game would be better without them.

I hope Nintendo announces DK Bananza costumes for Mario Kart World, that would be fun!

@KaiserGX I simply compared the same alarm tone with different wake up modes (gentle and moderate). I just set 2 different alarms to test it. And in this case, Animal Crossing's fishing tournament alarm sounds a little bit different in each mode. In moderate mode, the alarm starts with animalese talking before the actual music starts, and in gentle mode, the alarm just skips the animalese and slowly fades in the music, which I prefer! I only tested it with this specific alarm sound, could be that the other alarm sounds are not different in each mode.

@KaiserGX Thanks for the tip, I tried the gentle mode with a few alarm sounds I prefer and it actually made a difference! The fishing tournament alarm started with animalese talking before, but now in gentle mode it immediately starts with music. That's cool!

I really wish there was an option to turn off the "extra sounds" during an alarm tone. For example, Brewster talking noises during the café theme. I would love waking up to the café theme, but those extra noises are too annoying for me lmao

I have sold my Switch two days after the system update dropped. I made sure, that I uploaded all my data to the server. So to answer your question, yes, I don't touch my Switch anymore because I don’t have it anymore haha

Ideally Mario Kart World will be my only digital game on the Switch 2 since I got the bundle, I plan to buy every game physical if possible. If there is no other option, I don't know yet whether I prefer digital or Game Key Card.

I am mostly interested how the online mode(s) will work, since that will be the mode I'll be playing the most. It would be really cool, if a potential battle mode would use the whole map, like a balloon battle royale mode. Regarding online races I'm hoping for traditional 3-laps races as well!

also: please give me Ninji, Petey Piranha and King Bob-Omb as playable characters!

I was really relieved when I found out that the adapter will be compatible (I kinda expected it to be, but you never know).
I have 5 GameCube Controllers, so I'm glad that I'll be able to use them!

Nintendo's hiring everyone’s uncles.

I'm tidying up my Switch backlog so I'll be all set when Switch 2 releases. Therefore I'm currently playing River City Girls. Tomorrow I'll play Mario Kart 8 Deluxe though, because there's an online tournament hosted by Nintendo and I'm trying to win some sweet gold points!
