space channel 5 meets warioware super mario bros meets mass effect megaman meets metroid star tropics and uncharted wave race and grand theft auto captain rainbow and viewtiful joe in side- scrolling platform game
space harrier meets sin and punishment meets kid icarus earthbound meets animal crossing and fantasy life pokemon meets streetfighter donkey kong meets super monkey ball - i know, that'll be bananas! super robot wars meets chibi robo golden sun meets shining force
@Bliquid i'm with you. i'm glad it is on the wii U, since i don't own a PS3, Xbox and despite people's views and perceptions about mass effect 3, this is, as you said, the type of game, the wii U needs in terms of third party support especially.
so yes, i'm glad to see EA bring this to the wii U.
isn't the role of an analyst to critique but also try to offer encouraging words to say a company instead of bashing them and sounding like an angry troll? yes
pachter is no analyst - he just likes to rant about his anti-nintendo feelings. we get the point, pach but many fans like us could care less about your predictions, when they have been wrong 99% of the time.
@TinyOddy on twitter, you can upload photos from your account by clicking on the camera icon and selecting the photo you wish to upload. i have an account there and i often post pics this way.
i don't know about hello kitty, but pair sonic up with mario in a platform game, not those olympics games made by nintendo would boost sonic's credibility.
@Nick-Clegg, @Cyrso if nintendo buys SEGA and makes them a subsidiary company alongside retro, intelligent systems, HAL Labs, project sora, Nintendo EAD, my goodness nintendo will have plenty more I.Ps, even if they are not their own ones that they created.
if sega had released more quality software on the Wii, DS they wouldn't be in the position they are in right now.
it's tragic because i love sega- more than capcom, konami, square enix, activision, ubisoft to name. their franchises, whilst many aren't in the same league as mario, zelda, metroid to name are still inventive, original and interesting. they're not like activision, ubisoft where they have only 2, 3 core franchises. they have many more like streets of rage, bayonetta, virtua fighter, sonic, jet grind radio.
it's been a long time since we got a quality sega game on a nintendo console. hopefully this will change once aliens and sonic & all-stars racing comes out for the wii U. but with regards to support for the Wii U and 3DS, they really need to step it up- and don't just put out good games for the 360 and PS3.
even though miyamoto gets a lot of praise and is well known across the video games industry, the likes of sakurai and his efforts go unnoticed by many.
of all the nintendo creators at the moment, he's my favourite ahead of miyamoto, sakamoto and aonouma.
namco bandai should take the chance and release it in western shores. it would sell well, what with all those characters such as ryu, ken, chun li, as well as the tekken, virtua fighter characters and ulala from space channel 5 in it.
both smash bros and soul calibur series are 2 different fighting games
i remembered that on the gamecube version of soul calibur 2 made by namco that came out all those years ago, link from the legend of zelda was a playable character. so for that reason alone and having had some experience in using a nintendo character in a fighting game, that perhaps namco can pull it off.
sonic is to sega as mario is to nintendo - both are 2 legendary iconic video characters, yet only the latter mario has seen sustained long term profitability. if you compare the sales of all the mario titles to the sonic ones.
it will be interesting to see how nintendo handles sonic, if they were to make a sonic game. but that of which will never happen for as long as sega remain in the video game business.
if nintendo bought sega - who haven't been as good as they were during the 90s- and made them a second party, then i think a nintendo & sega partnership with regards to potential character hook ups for games would be immense.
imagine beat from jet grind radio alongside captain falcon, bayonetta and samus, sonic and mario, 1 or 2 of the shining force characters with link, ike of fire emblem.
but anyhow, my favourite sonic game is sonic colours- so much fun and it had incredible game play throughout.
@Malkeor i understand completely. yes, the secondary non-nintendo characters mustn't overshadow the likes of mario, link, kirby and samus.
sega is my favourite games company after nintendo and i feel they have more interesting and slightly more well-known characters than namco bandai. even if they do have an inconsistent track record of hit titles.
i'd much rather see nintendo team up with sega for smash bros over namco. they have sonic, tails, shadow, raphael from rhythm thief, beat from jet set radio, akira and pai chan or jacky from virtua fighter, ulala from space channel 5 and bayonetta- characters who i see can fit into the smash bros universe.
hopefully, this will be worth staying up for. i'd like to see metroid, zelda, project x zone, maybe a new kirby game, that sonic and allstars racing transformed game. anything else by nintendo would make up for last tuesday.
retro have always been great so far- i predict either metroid or even a lesser known nintendo franchise that we haven't seen for ages being brought back.
a bit like project sora with kid icarus: uprising.
Nintendo Land is a fun and lively theme park filled with 12 different attractions, each with its own take on a Nintendo franchise >>
i'd love to see battle mii and catch mii from last year's E3 in this game. battle mii would be renamed metroid melee and the toads-based catch me game, catch mii toads or something like that!
less time should've been spent on just dance and sing. but you know, ubisoft- for every interesting assassins creed, rayman, there is shovelware in the form of sing, just dance. and after their success on the wii with just dance, they're going to milk that franchise even more.
i only discovered this game when it was posted on go nintendo. it definitely has that warioware, rhythm heaven fever look to it. and plus, it's developed by intelligent systems, who are great. looks fun!

bayonetta meets metroid

well capcom can start by releasing new sequels to darkstakers, rival schools, power stone instead of countless versions of streetfighter every year.
oh and a tatsunoko vs capcom sequel please as well!

capcom needs to get their priorities right, especially with the monster hunter games.

make both digital and physical copy versions available.
and i agree with those that say these should be released like a nintendo selects collection for the wii.
Re: Professor Layton Wii U Would be Interesting, Says Hino
they should release both layton and layton vs phoenix wright games first off for the 3DS before releasing one for the wii U.

Re: This Zelda Nursery Sets the Scene for a Life of Adventure
@Geonjaha and perhaps end up playing only FPS or violent games.
other than that, this looks incredible. great stuff!
Re: Wii U Will be a 'Great Value Proposition'
for me £250 - £350 maximum for the wii U.
i'd rather have nintendo land built-in the wii U, instead of it being sold as a separate disk, and launch with mario, pikmin 3 etc.
Re: Project X Zone Rocking Over 45 Music Tracks
@LordOtakWiiU ulala is in this one
Re: Amazon UK Lists Wii U at £199.99
if nintendo has given amazon permission to set whatever price they want for the wii U, then i suppose this looks genuine.
Re: Japan Gets New Skyward Sword Link Figure in October
@Link-Hero @Mewtwo_Ex thanks guys. oh yes, they're the ones from last year. my favourite is the power suit one.
the link figure looks really good.
Re: Mario and Kim Cattrall Star in New 3DS Advert
it's nice to see celebrities who are fans of nintendo appear in ads like this.
kim must've got to keep that ice white 3DS too- lucky her!
Re: Balloon Pop Remix Rated for 3DS
this reminds me of taito's puzzle bobble. i like puzzle games so this would be right up alley.
Re: Japan Gets New Skyward Sword Link Figure in October
please post the samus one!
that figure looks terrific.
Re: Black Ops 2 Coming to Wii U
not a fan of the series, but i can't deny that CoD sells a great deal, so if it helps shift hardware sales of the wii U, then good.
me, i'm looking forward to aliens: colonial marines and hopefully metroid as a FPS.
Re: Yoshinori Ono Still Overworked Despite Health Scare

ono deserves a break.
Re: Let Camelot Know If You Want Another Golden Sun
dear camelot, yes i'd be welcome to a new golden sun game.
3DS or wii U, i don't care which system it is on. as the nike slogan goes: just do it!
Re: Tomb Raider Not Coming to Wii U
i've never considered myself a fan of the series, so yeah i'm not concerned by this news.
it would've made a nice addition to the wii U line-up, had it happened.
Re: E3 2012: Miyamoto Talks Zelda Wii U Experiments
why don't they just make a zelda game using that graphical art style shown in last year's zelda demo at E3? i thought it looked wonderful.

mines is luigi's mansion in first, followed by castlevania and paper mario.
