Nintendo's download platforms haven't been lacking for match-3 puzzle titles, and Balloon Pop Festival from UFO Interactive was one of quite a few on WiiWare. That said, it was a thoroughly decent, colourful title that earned a respectable 7/10 in our Balloon Pop Festival review, though it seems that it was only released in North America.
Those that did play the original may be interested to know that Balloon Pop Remix has been listed by ESRB for 3DS, which we're going to assume means the eShop. UFO Interactive has already published three titles on the platform, though we didn't rate those efforts that highly, but we at least know that another option for puzzling in 3D is on the way.
Once it's released we will, of course, help you to decide whether it's worth the plunge.

not!
Pretty sure I'll probably pass, but it's still nice that the games keep coming.
UFO Interactive huh?
Oh well I'll be sure to..uh.. runs away
this reminds me of taito's puzzle bobble. i like puzzle games so this would be right up alley.
UFO? I'm putting bets on this being either mediocre or bad.
I love Puzzle Bobble and if this gets a decent review then I would consider it! Won't be holding my breath though!
If UFO knows how to do anything right it's Balloon Pop (I also liked Samurai Sword Destiny but according to you guys who HAVEN'T played it, you hate it)
